Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder (ANSD) is a collective term for a specific form of hearing loss within a heterogeneous population of patients with mutual audiological test-profile. Cochlear implantation in children with ANSD has been found to result in good outcomes. Previous research, however, has shown the existence of a subgroup of children with ANSD who do not benefit from cochlear implantation but instead are in need of alternative methods of communication. The aim of this literature review was to examine the possibilities to predict outcomes of cochlear implantation in children with ANSD by pre-, intra- or postoperative examinations/measurements and thereby evaluate in which cases cochlear implantation is an appropriate intervention within this group of patients. The material consisted of 10 scientific papers published between 2007-2014.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva hur patienterna upplevde Brännskadeteamets ettårsuppföljning. Studien har en deskriptiv design med såväl kvalitativa som kvantitativa data. Som underlag för studien har en utvärderingsenkät använts, svaren är insamlade under tidsperioden 2001- juni 2008. Svarsfrekvensen var hög (81,4%), 57 patienter av 70 hade besvarat enkäten.Bemötandet skattades av samtliga patienter som mycket bra (77,2%) eller bra (22,8%). Samtliga patienter som hade ställt frågor ansåg att de hade fått svar på sina frågor (93%) medan en mindre grupp svarade att de ej hade ställt några frågor (7%).

In this report we make an attempt to analyze where Swedish Twitter users believe the line is drawn between the private and public. Our goal is to find out what the factors are that determine what they decide to write on Twitter and what not. A survey was sent out and spread amongst Swedish Twitter users during one week to provide us with the data to answer our question formulation. The results do not draw an exact line between the private and the public but it nevertheless provides us with an idea of what users think is inappropriate to write about on Twitter. Through the study we found out that our respondents believe that it is inappropriate to write private information about others than them self.

The purpose of this study was to investigate patients self-rated ADL-function after a periprosthetic fracture, to view the demographics of the patient group and investigate any gender differences in ADL-function. Whether patients managed to return to previous housing after the fracture and reasons for this was also studied.This is a register-based retrospective and prospective cohort study with a quantitative approach. Demographic and anamnestic patient data was collected from the electronic health records. The participants were called for an interview where Katz ADL-index and EQ5D was used to describe the participants´ ADL functioning together with physical and mental functioning.The result shows that the majority of the participants rated themselves as independent in their ADL-function. No gender differences were noted in ADL-functioning.

Background: In 1994 came the general prescription law in force for the district nurses with specific training in pharmacology and pathology in Sweden. According to The National Board of Health and Welfare from 2004 follow-up of the use of the prescription law revealed that nearly half of the district nurses used their prescription once a week. According to previous research the district nurses and patients were positive to the district nurses administration of prescriptions. Doctors, contrariwise, were not as favorable to the district nurses administration of prescriptions. The responsibility of the heads of the health centers is to promote the district nurses to prescribe and make sure that it works in a satisfactory manner.

The purpose of this study was to describe how nurses, working in primary health care and responsible for diabetes care, reflected on patient information and education, its? content and experiences of providing it. The study had a descriptive design and seven nurses from seven health care units in the middle of Sweden participated in the study. Data were analyzed with qualitative content analysis. The results are presented in two main categories; ?The information? and ?The procedure?.

Background: The district nurses profession has traditionally been health promotion. In order to find patients with excessive alcohol intake, district nurses use AUDIT. Research shows that health professionals find it difficult to face alcohol abusers in primary care. AIM: The aim is to describe how district nurses work with AUDIT. Method: Semi-structured interviews with six informants were carried out.

Bakgrund och problemformulering: Under 1990-talet infördes målstyrning som styrprocess i kommunerna. En central ambition i införandet av målstyrning var att decentralisera kommunorganisationerna samt att utveckla politikerrollen och betrakta det politiska arbetet utifrån ett långsiktigt strategiskt perspektiv. Styrningen av offentliga organisationer har länge baserats enbart på finansiella mått och mål. År 2004 infördes nya regler i kommunallagen angående verksamhetsnära mål av betydelse för en god ekonomisk hushållning. Bestämmelserna tillämpas år 2006 och det är upp till varje kommun att formulera sina mål.Syfte: Studiens syfte är att övergripande beskriva arbetet med målstyrning genom verksamhetsnära mål så som det bedrivs i Västra Götalands kommuner idag.

The aim of this study was to compare perceived disability in daily activities, anxiety and depression for patients with chronic pain (>3 month), before and after rehabilitation. Another aim was to examine if there were any correlations between disability in daily activities and the extent of anxiety and depression before and after rehabilitation.For the measurements, Disability Rating Index (DRI) that measures disability in daily activities, and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) ) which measures the extent of anxiety and depression were used. The study was carried out with 50 patients who had suffered from chronic pain and with the objective to return to work after rehabilitation. Of these, 90 % were female. The measurements were carried out at three measure points; before rehabilitation, seven weeks after rehabilitation and one year after rehabilitation.The main result did not show any statistically significant improvement in ability to perform daily activities.The only significant difference that emerged was an improvement in anxiety seven weeks after rehabilitation compared with before.

The purpose: The purpose of the study was to illuminate relatives? need of support during palliativecare in the home based care.

Syftet med studien är att öka kunskapen och förståelsen inom effektivisering av interna resurser på ett tillverkande företag, för att sedan kunna ge förslag på förbättringar inom verksamheten. Studien utfördes på Smålandsvillan AB som ligger i Vrigstad och tillverkar modulhus i trä.En materialkartläggning låg till grund för arbetet och ett antal slöserier och brister kunde identifie­ras. Genom att analysera det empiriska materialet tillsammans med studiens framtagna teorier kunde en identifiering av företagets slöserier genereras. Dessa slöserier orsakades till stor del av bristande struktur på företaget. Genom observationer på företaget framkom också ett antal brister i arbetsmiljön längs med produkt­ionslinan.

Method: Semi-structured interviews were used to collect the data, and content analysis was used to analys the data.

Kvalitetsbristerna i registerkartan är ett välkänt problem och Lantmäteriet arbetar ständigt för att uppdatera kartan och hitta en lösning på detta problem som är ekonomiskt försvarbar. Trots detta arbete så är bristerna stora på många håll, speciellt på landsbygden och inom skogsmark.Denna rapport behandlar konsekvenserna av registerkartans gränsredovisning i skogsmark. Arbetet har skett genom en fältstudie där två fastigheters utmärkta gränser kontrollmättes mot registerkartans angivna gränser. En beräkning av det teorietiska skogsvärdet som hamnar i gränszonen mellan registerkartans gräns och den på marken utmärkta gränsen. En schablonmässig beräkning bedömt på hela Sveriges årliga avverkningsareal som ligger inom den gränszon som påverkas av registerkartans brister har gjorts och värdet av virkesvolymerna inom detta gränsland har beräknats.En Litteraturstudie har genomförts på den litteratur som berör ämnet. Enkätundersökningar till sakkunniga inom skogsnäringen och samtal med andra sakkunniga personer har skett för att få en inblick i hur registerkartans brister påverkar.Skogsnäringen vill inte se detta som ett stort problem som påverkar deras arbete.
