Background: The need for structured practice has in recent years appeared in connection with the request for a more evidence-based nursing. In psychiatric care with its complex disabilities, it is important to have methods to identify these. Research has demonstrated the importance of patient participation in nursing that has been shown to affect their mental health. It is essential to get to know how patients with mental illness are capable of involvement in their life situation. The ICF emerged as a useful theoretical framework for development of questionnaires of patient participation.Aim: The aim of the present pilotstudy was to develop and test a questionnaire for participation, based on ICF.

IT is often seen as a solution to many problems concerning effectiveness in organizations. Information systems within the healthcare sector is often viewed as medical devices rather than just systems or services. These medical devices are thoroughly regulated by laws, standards and certifications. In this study I participated in an innovative project that aimed to bring new life and use to the old fashioned patient journal by giving it a visual representation through the use of an avatar. I aimed to study the effects of regulators connected with the patient journal as a source of information for the innovative project.

Bakgrund:Hjärtinfarkt är den vanligaste orsaken till dödsfall i Sverige. Att drabbas av akut sjukdom är en kritisk upplevelse för både patient och närstående vilket leder till ett behov av stöd för hela familjen. Syfte: Att belysa den mentala hälsan hos personer som har drabbats av en hjärtinfarkt samt återhämtningsprocessen. Metod: Litteraturöversikt där vetenskapliga artiklar via databaserna Pubmed, Psykinfo och Cinahl granskats. Utifrån artikelgranskningen uppkom tre kategorier; Den mentala hälsan och reaktioner hos patienter som drabbats av hjärtinfarkt, Återhämtningsprocessen efter en hjärtinfarkt samt Sjukvårdens roll i återhämtningsprocessen.

Aim: The aim of this study was to examine nurses experiences of asking patients aboutintimate partner violence and what the nurses believed could be of help or hindrance whenasking the question.Method: The study design was qualitative. Nine nurses from four different divisions wasinterviewed. The participants worked at a Swedish university hospital with an action plan fortaking care of violated women. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews usingan interview guide. The results were analyzed using qualitative content analysis.Main result: The question about intimate partner violence raises a variety of feelings amongnurses, for example anger and empathy.

Intensivvård bedrivs idag inte enbart på våra intensivvårdsavdelningarutan förekommer på andra vårdavdelningar inom slutenvården. Modernhjärtintensivvård har de senaste åren blivit tekniskt mer avancerad. Det finns risk atttekniken avhumaniserar vården och att vårdpersonalen fokuserar mer på apparaturenän patienten. Den teoretiska referensramen i detta arbete utgick från begreppetempowerment samt Hendersons omvårdnadteori.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av intensivvårdmed fokus på empowerment.Metod: Litteraturstudien baserades på artiklar från sökningar i databaserna CINAHLoch PUBMED. De sökord som användes var ?empowerment?, ?patientempowerment?, nurse relations?, ?ICU?, ?critical illness?, ?patient perspective?,?critical care? och ?patient experience?.Resultat: Efter genomläsning av artiklarna kunde fyra teman identifieras sompåverkade patientens upplevelse och känsla av empowerment.

1KOGNITIVA FUNKTIONER VID UTMATTNINGSSYNDROM?Utmattningssyndrom är ett tillstånd som orsakas av långvarig stress i arbete eller privatliv.Föreliggande studie har syftet att studera förändringar i kognitiv funktion med fokus på visuellt episodiskt minne, uppmärksamhet och responskontroll tio år efter sjukskrivning på grund av utmattningssyndrom. Kompletterande test och självskattningsformulär inkluderades vid uppföljningen för att närmare undersöka visuellt episodiskt minne, exekutiv funktion, psykisk hälsa samt subjektiva aspekter av utmattningssyndrom. Patient- och kontrollgrupp utgjordes av nio respektive tre kvinnor. Testresultat jämfördes mellan grupper och testtillfälle ett och två.Resultaten visade på frånvaro av skillnad mellan testtillfälle i de mått som följdes upp samt att patientgruppens problem med visuellt episodiskt minne vid uppföljningen framförallt gjorde sig gällande i komplexa uppgifter vilket möjligen kan förklaras av bristande exekutiv funktion.Eftersom deltagarantalet i både patient- och kontrollgrupp var lågt är resultaten att betrakta som pilotdata..

Stroke är en av våra stora folksjukdomar som drabbar cirka 30 000 människor varje år.Strokedrabbade patienter kommer i kontakt med hälso- och sjukvården och sjuksköterskanhar en central roll i omvårdnaden. Därför är det viktigt att sjuksköterskan har kunskap ompatienters upplevelse av att drabbas av stroke. Syftet med denna studie är att beskrivapatienters upplevelse av stroke. Metoden som använts är en litteraturstudie där trettonkvalitativa artiklar analyserats. Tre olika huvudteman framkom ur analysen: upplevelse avförändringar efter stroke, Strategier för att hantera den nya situationen och upplevelse avmötet med sjukvården.

This work examines the students´ thoughts on climate change with a focus on carbondioxid through photosynthesis and the carbon emissions from cars. The study is based on two subject areas, one with a focus on enhanced greenhouse effect, and the other focusing on photosythesis. The survey was conducted by means of qualitative interviews with students in grades four and six. The results describe that student´s understanding for photosynthesis and the carbondioxids function for photosynthesis doesn´t change significantly from grade four to grade six. I have divided the students inte three levels based on their understandingof the various fields, and their use of adequate concepts.

Studiens syfte: Har varit att beskriva upplevelser av möten med vårdpersonal hos patienter med anorexia. Studien är en litteraturstudie som är baserad på tre självbiografiska böcker. Bakgrund: Anorexia är en vanlig förekommande sjukdom där flickor drabbas oftare än pojkar. Lidande och välbefinnande är två vanliga inslag i sjukdomen. Mötet och bemötandet mellan vårdpersonal och patient är viktigt då ett misstag från personalen kan leda till stor skada.

Under utbildningstiden har vi uppmärksammat att intimitet har varit starkt närvarande iomvårdnadsarbetet. Begreppet tycks innehålla många dimensioner och kan vara svårt attförhålla sig till. Därför valde vi att göra en begreppsanalys med syftet att utredabegreppet samt undersöka hur intimitet tog sig uttryck i relationen mellan sjuksköterskaoch patient. Nightingale, Watson, Peplau och Eriksson har utgjort den teoretiskareferensramen. Beskrivningar av intimitetsbegreppet söktes i databaserna PubMed ochCINAHL samt i omvårdnadslitteratur och psykologisk litteratur.

BackgroundPeople with psychiatric problems, despite efforts in recent decades still experience vulnerability. Patients with borderline personality disorder (BPD), where self-harm is common, often live in difficult and complex social relationships because of their illness. Additional knowledge and studies about mental illness, self-harm, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and the therapeutic alliance are needed.Purpose and MethodThis study aims to examine how staff perceive and describe: DBT as a treatment method; the therapeutic alliance and the importance it has for treatment. The study utilises a qualitative approach with a qualitative content analysis method and presents earlier research on DBT and the therapeutic alliance. The empirical material consists of focus group interviews comprising three DBT - teams.

The purpose of the thesis is to examine the thoughts and opinions of a selected group of people regarding the terrorist attack that occurred in Stockholm 12/11-2010. This study has been conducted through the method of focus group interview. The study was methodologically and theoretically inspired by Grounded Theory, which simply means that the participants' opinions have formed the theory of the study. As a result of the study, we can see that the main focus of the discussion held by the participants was through a we and them thinking-perspective. Furthermore, the study reveals that the participants tried to include who we (muslims) are, and to exclude who they (non muslims) are, while arguing in the discussion. Another definition is the one of here and there, where the participants defined terrorism and what causes it. Finally, media's role was discussed in relation to the creation of the medie-muslim. The focus of this thesis is primarily in electronic construction and describes the design process for a microcontroller circuit board from concept development to prototyping. The client develops test fixtures for automated testing of products within the electronics industry and needs a new controller circuit for the test fixtures that can handle controls and basic testing. An investigation into the needs of such a system is conducted and a prototype printed circuit board assembly is manufactured.The prototype is developed with focus on protection against electrostatic discharges and overvoltage. Among the functions that are included are voltage measurements, communication interfaces and control of input and output currents. Firmware for the prototype is developed and configured to communicate with a PC through USB interface for control and collecting of measurements..

Bakgrund: Verbal och icke verbal kommunikation är ett utbyte av information eller känslor mellan två personer. Inom omvårdnadsarbetet är kommunikation ett viktigt redskap att använda sig av som sjuksköterska. Syfte: Att belysa verbal och icke verbal kommunikation mellan sjuksköterska och patient vid det akuta omhändertagandet av patienten. Metod: En allmän litteraturstudie med systematisk artikelsökning samt innehållsanalys av artiklarna. Resultat: Det finns både positiva och negativa sätt att kommunicera.

This report describes how the process has evolved during the creation of a new web page forthe company Scandinavian Travel Agent DMC. The design methods that have been used aredescribed and also how parts of the webpage have been created by using the design methodresults. Our reflections around design and functionality are explained and how usability hasbeen our main focus during the master thesis. We also describe how it has been to work withan external costumer and how the tasks constantly have changed and been added as theprocess has continued.The background to this work is that AB Scandinavian Travel Agent DMC need to improve theircurrent web page. This to give the clients better needed information about destinations, butalso to stand out in the competitive travel business.
