The purpose of this work was to investigate the adherence to basic hygiene routines among staff and to investigate if there is any difference between the adherences in diverse professions. The purpose was also to study how staff rates their own adherence to current guidelines. Data for the study were collected through observations and questionnaires. Altogether 35 people were observed and 15 answered the questionnaire. Maximum adherence was found in the category of "hand disinfection after patient contact" with a score of 96%.

Denna uppsats studerar universitetssjukhus implementering och användning av måttet KPP, kostnad per patient, inom den interna ekonomiska uppföljningen i somatisk slutenvård genom en intervju- och enkätundersökning.  Syftet är att se hur KPP bör implementeras och användas. Slutsatsen är att sjukhusens ledning inte fokuserats på den strategiska och operativa styrningen med hjälp av KPP, vilket försenat utbredningen av den interna användningen. KPP-måttet måste vara tillgängligt för alla nivåer inom sjukhuset och speciellt för verksamhetschefer med ansvar för vården av patienter; goda IT-system är också nödvändiga. According to Nosti (2012) banks target youths to find new customers by giving them special offers such as debit cards from a relatively early age. However, Moschis and Churchill (1979) point out that age can affect the level of knowledge in the consumer. Therefore, this essay focuses on youths as consumers. Specifically, youths? awareness of security risks in using bank tools such as debit cards or internet banks was studied.

Being a patient in intensive care can be experienced terrifying. Studies have demonstrated the link between unpleasant memories of hospitalization in the ICU and the development of posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and perception of quality of life in its aftermath. Placed on a ventilator, the patient is exposed to multiple invasive procedures. The aim was to describe critical care patients' experience of being intubated or tracheostomated. Method: Literature review using conventional content analysis.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur sjuksköterskor med invandrarbakgrund upplever främlingsfientligt bemötande från patient. Metoden vi har använt för insamling av data och analys är den deskriptiva fenomenologiska humanvetenskapliga metoden enligt Giorgi. Urvalet består av sju legitimerade sjuksköterskor med invandrarbakgrund som är verksamma inom region Skåne. Data har samlats in genom djupintervjuer. Resultat: Det centrala resultatet i studien beskriver att främlingsfientliga åsikter hos en patient kan ta sig uttryck på olika sätt och att informanterna varit allt från mycket ledsna till opåverkade av händelsen. Sex olika copingstrategier har identifierats. Det organisatoriska stödet efter händelsen anses av informanterna ha varit allt från mycket positivt till helt obefintligt.

ABSTRACT Our main objective with this essay is to provide a description of old people?s stories about aging. The essay is based on the empirical source of four qualitative interviews with older people over the age of eighty years young. The main goal is to inquire answers about; their time in the workforce; retirements; healthissues; media/advertisements; adolescence/youthfulness and attitudes. The following main questions have been dealt with: What do the elderly emphasize when they describe ageing? Are healthissues the prime subjects the elderly talk about? Do the elderly experience positive or negative attitudes towards ageing? What is their point of view of younger generations? In what way do they describe their years as workers? In what way do they describe aspects about their retirement? We reserved to consider the opinion of their own, to be the most valuable source in our study.

Introduktion: Regionalt cancercenter (RCC) har i samarbete med Sveriges kommuner och landsting (SKL) beslutat att varje patient med en cancerdiagnos ska bli tilldelad en kontaktsjuksköterska.Syfte: Att undersöka hur väl implementeringen av kontaktsjuksköterskan har fungerat inom den onkologiska vården på Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala samt om de kontaktsjuksköterskor som finns arbetar i enlighet med SKL:s definition.Metod: Kvalitativ metod med semi-strukturerade intervjuer av åtta patienter med olika cancerdiagnos.Huvudresultat: Fem av de åtta deltagarna blev tilldelade en kontaktsjuksköterska eller motsvarande när de fick sin diagnos, antingen i direkt samband med diagnosen eller i ett senare skede. Resultaten tyder på att de patienter som ingår i någon slags forskningsstudie upplever sig ha en kontaktsjuksköterska som underlättar för dem och även deras behandling. Patienter som inte ingår i läkemedelsstudier upplever inte att kontaktsjuksköterskan har arbetat enligt SKL:s definition.Slutsats: Forskningssjuksköterskor är den personalkategori som arbetar närmast definitionen av kontaktsjuksköterska. Brister gällande sjukvårdens tillgänglighet, förmåga att ge fullgod information samt att erbjuda anhöriga stöd har uppmärksammats. Ytterligare forskning måste utföras för att resultaten ska kunna bekräftas.  .

Syftet med denna studie är att identifiera hot, risker och konsekvenser kopplade till BYOD samt undersöka hur dessa kan lösas. BYOD är idag något som införs i allt större utsträckning hos olika företag världen över. Många är intresserade av alla möjligheter det kan frambringa, dock blundar allt för många för alla de olika hot och risker det samtidigt kan medföra. Utöver det tar vi i denna studie även upp hur man kan skriva en säkerhetspolicy kopplad till området BYOD. För att komma fram till våra slutsatser har vi förutom den teori vi samlat in fått hjälp av Jan-Olof Andersson en av Sveriges främsta IT-säkerhetsexperter med att skapa en riskanalys och en arkitekturbild.

AbstractBetween 1989-1996 and 2000-2003 a civil war took place in Liberia. During the war many, many people were killed or were forced to flee. Another of the war's characteristics was the high number of women being sexually abused and beaten by the soldiers. The aim of this thesis is to analyze to what degree the peacekeeping personnel in Liberia, foremost staff working for the UN and agencies related to the UN, have implemented Resolution 1325 in their work. Resolution 1325 was adopted by the members of the United Nations Security Council in year 2000 and aims to increase the efforts made to secure women's rights and security in parts of the world where war and crisis prevail.

Background: Many Swedish inhabitants origin from different countries with different cultures that may show pain in other ways than Swedes. The Swedish law stress that nursing care should be done individually according to the patient's capabilities and needs. Aim and Method: The aim of this study was to describe nurses´ experiences of encounters with patients from other cultures with pain, and also their next of kin. Qualitative interviews were carried out with seven nurses. The interviews were analysed with the starting point in Giger and Davidhizars Transcultural Assessment Model and the six phenomena: communication, space, social organisation, time, environmental control and biological diversity.

Background: Patients who deliberate self harm often feel disappointed with the health care. The consequence of this may be that the patient avoid to seek help after self harming. Nurses' often experience these patients to be difficult and hard to deal with. Both patients' and nurses' thoughts about the situation may affect the situation in a negative way. A good relationship between the caregiver and patient is important.

The purpose of this study is to find out how social workers in one medium and one smallmunicipality in central Sweden perceive the need of financial support for young adults formore than one year and what the causes might be. To answer our research questions aqualitative research method was used and four social workers were interviewed. The resulthas been analyzed based of social exclusion, stigma, as well as on structural and individuallevel and linked to previous research. Our results show that although young adults are anexception for long duration for financial support, there are those who lack other means ofsupport for a long time. The results also show that young adults often are recurring in thesocial services, and they are long-lasting.

To reach health and wellbeing, despite a disease as rheumatoid arthritis, the patient needs help to manage and cope with his situation. The caregiver?s task is to give this support. The aim of this study was to illuminate how patients with rheumatoid arthritis experienced the relationship to the caregivers in the ?rheumatic-team?, and the participation in this team.
