Cross infection is a global health problem. The cost for cross infection increases every year. Florence Nightingale focused her attention on preventing cross infections by using good hygiene and as a nurse that is one of your more important tasks. Nurses have guidelines for how hygiene should be implemented in practice. The aim of this study is to investigate factors that influence nurses´ compliance to guidelines regarding hygiene.

Children that are taken care of for institutional care by the social services are unprivileged as a group. When society takes over the parenting role, it forces local governments and other accountable authorities to guarantee these children satisfactory support and good care according to each child's needs. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and discuss problems with implementation in policy processes when authorities incorporate. From the normative standpoint of legal security and the United Nations Children's Convention, this thesis investigates the consequences of interaction between two Swedish supervisory authorities for the social services: Socialstyrelsen and länsstyrelserna. To fulfill the aim I will investigate the approach taken by the authorities and the work division between Socialstyrelsen and länsstyrelserna.

Patienter med annan kulturell bakgrund är sårbara på grund av bristande kunskaper i det nya landets språk vilket leder till kommunikationssvårigheter. Inte bara i Sverige utan i hela världen är kommunikationsbarriärer den vanligaste barriären mellan en sjuksköterska och denna patientgrupp. Bakgrund: Kommunikation har grundläggande betydelse för kvalitén av omvårdnad inom patientvården. En sjuksköterska ska vara medveten om att språkbarriärer spelar en viktig roll i patienters vårdvistelse samt kan vara ett hinder när dessa patienter söker sjukvård. Syfte: Studiens syfte är att beskriva vilka faktorer som påverkar kommunikationen mellan patient med annan etnicitet och sjuksköterska, ur ett patientperspektiv.

Social control in different forms has existed in all known societies. This control has taken different shapes and expressions. In older smaller communities there was a collective control among the citizens. In modern societies the state is trying to control the lives of the citizens. These control mechanisms can be seen as both freedom-reducing and freedom inducing depending on which concept of freedom one upholds.

Anafylaxi är en allergisk reaktion och personen som drabbas kan få allvarliga och svåra symptom som kräver behandling. Kännetecknet för anafylaxi är att det kan påverka olika delar av kroppen samtidigt; bland annat hud, luftvägar, mag- och tarmkanalen, hjärta och blodkärl. Det blir ofta korta möten mellan ambulanspersonal och patient och därför finns inte mycket tid för att försöka skapa ett förtroende. Omvårdnaden vid anafylaxi sker till en början snabbt och det kan uppfattas som en stressad situation för både patient och personal. Syftet med studien var att undersöka ambulanspersonalens erfarenheter av att vårda patienter med anafylaxi.

Bakgrund: Anorexia nervosa drabbar ca 1 procent av alla kvinnor och 0,1 procent av alla män innan 18 års ålder i Sverige. Patientgruppen återfinns i både allmänsjukvård och psykiatriska vårdavdelningar. Sjuksköterskan behöver redskap för att utveckla en vårdrelation till dessa patienter, då vårdrelationen är essentiell för att uppnå hälsa. Syfte: Att belysa de olika faktorer som påverkar vårdrelationen mellan sjuksköterska och patient med diagnosen anorexia nervosa. Metod: Studien är en systematisk litteraturstudie.

Background:The concept of transition means a change in a person's life where he or she is forced to adapt. There are different phases in life that results in different adaptations. In this essay, transition is described as the physical and mental journey between the home and an elder care facility. The Aim was to describe elderly people's experiences of transition when moving from their previous home into an elder care facility. The Method used was a literature review.

Background: Many cancer patients who get bone metastases live longer thanks to the successful research and development of medicines during recent years. Many studies show general health benefits from physical activity. For patients with bone metastases the possibility of physical activity perhaps should limit? Nurses at oncological units are often in lifelong contact with this group of patients. It´s therefore important to have knowledge about the bone metastases and how it influence the patient´s possibility of performing physical activity in order to support and encourage the patient to safely physical activity.Aim: To describe the patient´s possibility of physical activity with metastases to the bone.Method: A literature study.Results: The extension of the bone metastases shall be verified through X-ray.

Bakgrunden till föreliggande studie är att stroke är en av Sveriges stora folksjukdomar och afasi kan uppkomma som komplikation. Detta kan medföra problem vid kommunikationen och vårdrelationen kan bli lidande. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa vårdrelationen med strokedrabbad patient med afasi ur ett vårdarperspektiv. Studien grundade sig på sex vetenskapliga artiklar som granskades genom innehållsanalys inspirerad av Burnards (1991) analysmetod. Analysen resulterade i tre huvudgrupper med undergrupper vilka belyser olika aspekter för att skapa en god vårdrelation.

It concludes that the early 1900's of Western Europe comes close to being conditioned by Herz's security dilemma and then continues to analyze the development from this state to one of stable peace. In this analysis pivotal features of the ECSC, EEC and the EC are being scrutinized through the use of Boulding's Stable Peace theory and developments of the very same, in separate case studies, in order to account for the Communities? influence on the peace process.In doing this, conclusions are drawn that external pressures can be very effective in creating an incentive to move beyond an initial state of conflicting self-images and that a stabilizing process has got to provide a long term solution in order to sustain a trustful relationship. The authors of this thesis have studied the handling of personal information in various kinds of organizations, because the perception is that the knowledge in this area is weak relative to the weight of the subject.The purpose of this paper has been partly to shed light on how knowledge of this area in the organizations that we have visited during the study but also to answer questions about handling, knowledge and security, and identification of individuals in different systems. What kind of problems the processing of these data creates and why these problems occur.In the beginning of our study we understood the importance of using the correct identifier and therefore chose also to examine what the various identifiers used by the organizations and why they chose these particular identifiers.In the qualitative analysis, Datainspektionen´s general rules and advice has been used as a basis together with the laws applicable to the organizations to get a good picture of how management of personal information is in these organizations.What we have found in this paper is that knowledge about how personal data is handled and what laws and rules are saying is very much dependent on how central the information is to these organization's activities. The police use so many different types of records for their organization to function well and they have very good knowledge of laws and regulations. In contrast, schools that do not handle as much of personal data themselves nor have the same knowledge among staff and do not have enough resources to cope with keeping the same knowledge base as the police.
