When performing a QRA you have to consider a number of accident scenarios. How many scenarios you choose often determines the time and resources needed to perform the QRA. The report investigates the possibility that a QRA can be performed using only a few representative scenarios. Further it presents a discussion on how these scenarios should be constructed..

The aim is to describe the factors that influence nurses' assessment and measurement of pain in patients. Literature study based on 13 reviewed articles, searched in the Cinahl. Qualitative and quantitative articles were analyzed. Six themes were identified that can be seen as the factors that influence nurses' assessment and measurement. The themes were   pain education, nurses´ experience in the profession, nurses´ level of knowledge about pain relief, documentation about pain, nurse´s perspective on the patient, and pain measurement.

Theoretical framework: The Theory of Human Caring by Jean Watson was used as a theoretical framework.Aim: The aim of this literature review was to describe the attitude of nursing patients who go through an induced abortion, from a nurse perspective.Method: This literature review is based on a sample of nine qualitative and quantitative studies, collected in the databases Cinahl, PubMed and PsycInfo. The qualities of the studies were assessed through modified templates. Analysis of the results from the studies was inspired of a content analysis.Findings: The nurses experienced their work as meaningful since they give support to the patient. The nurses felt that their work was justified when the decision to have an abortion was well thought through and they felt respect towards the patient when they were aware of the patient?s circumstances.

Järntorget bygg AB arbetar med nyproduktion av framförallt bostäder. Liksom alla andra arbetsplatser i Sverige berörs en byggarbetsplats av Arbetsmiljölagen med dess förordning och författningar. I dessa paragrafer som alla finns för att göra arbetsmiljön så säker som möjligt finns krav på att en Arbetsmiljöplan skall upprättas, vilket är den individuella strategi som tillämpas på varje byggarbetsplats för att uppnå god arbetsmiljö. Dessutom finns på byggarbetsplatser ett ordnings- och skyddsreglerdokument vilket är det dokument som varje ny hantverkare skall ta del av vid ankomst för att känna till arbetsplatsen bestämmelser.  Genom att ta del av gamla skyddsrondsprotokoll, delta på skyddsronder och genomföra intervjuer på Järntorgets i dagsläget tre aktuella byggarbetsplatser kan det konstateras att överträdelser mot såväl Arbetsmiljölagen som mot den egna Arbetsmiljöplanen och ordnings- och skyddsregler sker.

Bakgrund: Av Sveriges befolkning har ca 2-4,5 % diagnosen diabetes. Av de diagnostiserade har 10-15% typ 1 diabetes och resterande typ 2 diabetes. Eftersom sjukdomen ständigt ökar så finns dessa patienter överallt. Det finns således stor möjlighet att som färdig sjuksköterska träffa dessa patienter både inom primärvård och slutenvård. Syfte: Syftet med den här litteraturstudien är att beskriva hur en sjuksköterska kan undervisa en patient med diabetes typ 2 för att uppnå följsamhet till egenvård.

After I heard that two deadly accidents in farming 2003 were created by work with cattle, I got the idea of writing this degree project. So far there are not too many reports written about safety for the worker nor the animal. Therefore it will fit in with a report about safe handling of free stalled cattle. The Swedish Board of Agriculture would also like to do an information material about outside stalled cattle with this degree project as a background. The collecting of material was made by visiting farmers. The goal was to visit 15 ? 20 herds and when this is being written 19 herds have been visited.

Syfte: Att undersöka sjuksköterskors uppfattningar om avvikelser i vården och om bakomliggande orsaker till dessa samt inställningar till avvikelserapportering och -hantering. Studien syftade även till att undersöka uppfattningar om hur nyanställda sjuksköterskor påverkas av rådande inställningar till detta på en vårdavdelning. Metod: Kvalitativ metod med explorativ design. Bekvämlighetsurval tillämpades och data samlades in med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer med sex sjuksköterskor från en medicinsk vårdavdelning på ett svenskt universitetssjukhus. Dataanalysen genomfördes med fenomenografisk metod.

The purpose of this study was to discuss young immigrant's experiences of the meeting between their original culture and swedish culture. In this discussion certain emphasis is laid on the formation of identity. In a more specific manner the aim was to find out which underlying circumstances contributed to the individuals choice in considering him- or herself as swedish or not and what these circumstances depended on.The empirical material of this study consists of five lifestories based on the methodological study of narrative. I have analyzed the material with help from Anthony Giddens' theory of structuration with starting point in the conception of ontological safety. I identified four different themes that frequently recured in each lifestory: identity in migration- and integrationsprocesses, the open doors of globalization, "swedish" identity and belonging in two cultures.

Falls and fallinjuries are very common in peoples own homes in various institutions. Hospital inpatients often fall during daytime in connection with their visit to the toilet. Visual impairment such as cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy can cause falls. The purpose of this study was to examine patient´s records where falls and fallinjuries were documented at an emergency clinic and to examine if they were registered to visual impairment. The records from 68 hospital inpatients from the age of 65 years and older who did fall during the year of 2004, were examined.

Background: Insufficient physical activity is a public health problem. The Swedish recommendation is to be physically active for a minimum of 30 minutes every day, which is fulfilled by about half the adult population. Recent research has shown that sedentary behavior is an independent risk factor. Physical activity on prescription (FaR®) is an individually adapted and written prescription, a method to encourage physical activity. The National Board of Health and Welfare has observed that counseling combined with a written prescription convey better adherence than just counseling.

This essay examines the environmental ideological direction of the Swedish parliamentary parties through the private members motions directed to the committee of industry and trade and the committee of environment and agriculture during the governmental time from 2002 to 2006.The environmental ideologies explained is anthropocentrism, ecocentrism and biocentrism. Based on the ideas of these three ideologies main points the private members motions directed to the committee of industry and trade and the committee of environment and agriculture, also matching the search words environment and energy, was compared and analysed.What has emerged is that all parliamentary parties express a desire to create an energy production and producing guide lines which are stringent environmentally and matches the safety requirements. Although the approach to environmental and safety standards differ significantly between them. Basically all Swedish parliamentary parties are more or less anthropocentric in its arguments, which in short terms means that they estimate natures and animals value through their usability for humans or based on their contribution to human feelings of wellbeing.The Centre Party and the Green Party shows hints of weak ecocentrism because in many cases they put animal intrinsic value high, but the human value higher. Moderates are predominantly anthropocentric but they also express some hint of biocentrism in one statement concerning research in order to reduce and rebuild environmentally destroyed areas.

Syftet med denna studie var att se effekten och upplevelsen av två månaders sjukgymnastik och informationsöverföring på distans via videokommunikation i realtid för en axelledsopererad patient och dennes slutenvårds- och öppenvårdssjukgymnast. Studien involverade en patient som opererades vid Sunderby sjukhus (SY). Efter utskrivningen genomfördes sjukgymnastik på distans med sjukgymnasten på sjukhuset och patienten i hemmet under två månaders tid. Den teknik som har använts är videokommunikation Integrated System Digital Network (ISDN), (TV-monitor, kamera, mikrofon, belysning och videobandspelare), som kopplats in via det digitala telefonnätverket dels i patientens hem dels på sjukhuset. Resultaten visade att patientens smärta reducerades och att axelrörlighet, funktionsförmåga, muskelstyrka, sömn, hälsorelaterad livskvalitet och tillfredsställelse förbättrades efter operationen och två månaders sjukgymnastik på distans via videokommunikation..

Introduction: Balance between the essential nutritive substances is important for aperson to maintain health. The surgical patient can be stricken with conditions, whichhave a negative impact on this balance and can lead to malnutrition. Working as a nurseit is important to identify patients that are malnourished or is in the risk zone ofmalnourishment since 30 % of all patients in hospitals are malnourished.Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the compliance to the guidelines fornutritional assessment and parenteral nutrition on a surgical ward. Also whether thenutritional treatment/-support was reported to the next caregivers if the patient wasmalnourished or was in the risk zone of malnourishment at the time of discharge.Method: 80 patients enrolled on the ward in the beginning of year 2011 were included.Audit of patient records was made according to the hospital guidelines for nutrition andparenteral nutrition and followed a study specific protocol.Results: The examination of the case records showed that the guidelines for nutritionwere partly complied with. Nutritional treatment/-support was reported to the nextcaregivers when needed.

Behandling och omvårdnad är en stor utmaning för intensivvårdsteamet p.g.a. den intensivvårdskrävande patientens komplexa behov. Mobilisering av patienten är en omvårdnads-åtgärd som används för att optimera patientens fysiska och psykiska status. Kunskapen om mobiliseringens eventuella nytta kommer från kunskap om immobiliseringens negativa effekter d.v.s. att sängliggande leder till risker för komplikationer.

Bakgrund: Det finns fyra olika informationskällor tillgängliga som ska upplysa läkemedelsanvändaren om preparatens biverkningar och dess frekvens. Dessa stämmer dock inte alltid överens utan ger olika upplysningar, vilket kan skapa förvirring och misstänksamhet mot informationen som ges. Detta kan leda till att man kanske inte vågar ta sin ordinerade medicin. Syfte: Att jämföra om presentationen av biverkningar i Produktresumén för Betablockerare i ATC kod C07, överensstämmer med övriga informationskällor så som Bipacksedel, FASS och Patient FASS.
