Bakgrunden till föreliggande studie är att stroke är en av Sveriges stora folksjukdomar och afasi kan uppkomma som komplikation. Detta kan medföra problem vid kommunikationen och vårdrelationen kan bli lidande. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa vårdrelationen med strokedrabbad patient med afasi ur ett vårdarperspektiv. Studien grundade sig på sex vetenskapliga artiklar som granskades genom innehållsanalys inspirerad av Burnards (1991) analysmetod. Analysen resulterade i tre huvudgrupper med undergrupper vilka belyser olika aspekter för att skapa en god vårdrelation.

Metoderna som anva?nds i texterna fo?r att skapa trova?rdighet a?r expertutla?tanden och skapa fo?rtroende med tittarna och la?sarna.  .

Bakgrund: Fysisk beröring är ett grundläggande behov hos människan och är en central del i omvårdnaden. Fysisk beröring kan lindra eller förhindra lidande och skapa förutsättningar för välbefinnande. I omvårdnaden skapar beröringen ett humant sätt mellan patient och personal att ta kontakt med varandra. Syftet: Hur patientens välbefinnande påverkas av fysisk beröring i omvårdnaden. Metod: Studien utfördes som en litteraturstudie baserad på sju vetenskapliga kvalitativa artiklar.

Background: Touching exists in different forms and can be experienced through the skin. By touching oxytocin is released like a relaxing hormone which counteracts anxiety and depression. Therapeutic contact and healing touch are methods nurses? uses to give positive feeling of serenity, warmth and wellbeing for the patients. Touching can be a method for communication and happiness when word is not enough.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att kasta ljus över ämnet Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Inom detta ämne kommer fokus att ligga på det initiativ som heter Global Compact (GC), och som blivit föremål för såväl beundran som skepticism. Målet är att utröna om GC i Sverige blivit, eller är i riskzonen för att bli, en front för det som i uppsatsen kallas kulörtvätt, eller om det tvärtom är en välfungerande sammanslutning som hjälper till att sprida CSR. Frågeställning: �Hur och vart åberopar de svenska företagen sitt medlemskap i Global Compact?�, �Av vilka anledningar ansluter sig företag till Global Compact?�, �Vilka effekter kan företagens frivilliga val av Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) som rapporteringssystem ha på de åtaganden av transparens och kommunikation som Global Compact medlemskapet för med sig?� Metod: För att uppfylla syftet och frågeställningarna används en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ metodel. Intervjuer har genomförts med Global Compacts svenska medlemsföretag och dessutom har hemsidor, årsredovisningar, artiklar samt litteratur inom området använts.

Background: Patients who deliberate self harm often feel disappointed with the health care. The consequence of this may be that the patient avoid to seek help after self harming. Nurses' often experience these patients to be difficult and hard to deal with. Both patients' and nurses' thoughts about the situation may affect the situation in a negative way. A good relationship between the caregiver and patient is important.

Background: Hand hygiene is the simplest and most fundamental means to prevent care related infections. It is of great importance that the guideline of hand hygiene is followed for the patient?s sake. Unfortunately, healthcare workers perform hand hygiene too seldom. If the patient comes down with a care related infection, the suffering will increase.

Acute myocardial infarction is a serious diagnosis. Both the patient and the loved ones experience an immediate uncertainty. To be able to emotionally support the patient´s spouse, the nurse in the coronary care unit must be prepared to also encounter the world of the spouse. The aim of this study was from a nursing perspective to illuminate how life was experienced during the first two months by the spouse of someone, who was stricken by a first time acute myocardial infarction. Interviews with six spouses were conducted.

BACKGROUND: Exercise on Prescription (EoP) means that a doctor writes out a customized form of exercise to the patient instead of medicine, or in combination with medication. EoP promotes health and prevents disease. AIM: The aim of this paper is toexamine whether EoP from a patient perspective perceived to be an efficient and effective method of treatment.

This thesis is a systematic review of the Swedish healthcare and hospital-library?s authorities on the consumer health information. The goal is to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses that are inherited in two professions (medical and LiS) with two completely different perspectives on mediating information.The method used is a mix between conceptual analysis of the Swedish term ?patient information? and a Critical conceptual analysis, according to Fairclough, of published native theses and international professional journals.Conclusion of the thesis is that although the nursing and medical staff has the necessary medical expertise it does not, in many cases have either the time or skill to completely satisfy a patient or his/her next of kin´s information needs when exposed in a uneasy situation as when in need of treatment or help in any kind.The hospital librarian on the other hand does have the intermediating skills and most often the time to explain complex treatments or medical procedures, but the lack in medical or nursing expertise.In a perfect setting there is an inter-professional cooperation which brings a lot of positive results. The problem today is often to overcome the gap in awareness of one and other that exists in a modern Swedish hospital..

Bakgrund Arbetsterapeuter har en central roll i ryggm?rgsskadade patienters str?van mot ett meningsfullt aktivitetsliv. Ungef?r 330 personer per ?r f?rv?rvar en ryggm?rgsskada i Sverige. En ryggm?rgsskada p?verkar funktionen nedanf?r skadest?llet och aktivitetslivet f?r?ndras.

Dagkirurgi verksamheten ökar och det pågår en debatt om vilken anestesiform som är mest lämpad för denna verksamhet. Snabb återhämtning, god kvalitet, kostnadseffektivitet och få biverkningar är målen för att få patienten att kunna gå hem samma dag. En kvantitativ studie med en enkät framkonstruerad för studiens syfte utfördes. Syftet med studien var att undersöka vad om avgör om en patient skrivs ut tidigt eller sent vid dagkirurgi med övningsmetod intravenös anestesi Target Controlled Infusion TCI eller Total Intraveös Anestesi TIVA. 20 stycken patienter på en dagkirurgisk avdelning observerades postoperativt av ansvarig sjuksköterska, som fyllde i frågorna i enkäten.

The purpose of this literature study was to describe techniques for monitoring general anesthesia and standing chemical restraint in the horse. A number of various techniques and devices related to e.g. blood pressure measurement, blood gas analysis and pulse oximetry are defined, and finally their clinical relevance and reliability are discussed. The equine patient is generally far more exposed to anesthesia-related risks than other smaller species. Complications such as hypotension and hypercapnia are commonly seen during general anesthesia. Thus, close monitoring is essentially performed by the veterinary nurse, whom is responsible for monitoring the anesthetized patient.
