Arbetet handlar om pedagogikens roll för att underlätta bemötandet mellan vårdare och patient och därigenom åstadkomma lärande i riktning mot en förbättrad hälsa. I detta fall begränsas undersökningen till tandvården och mötet mellan tandhygienist och patient. Förutom att ha en god kunskap om tandvård och munhälsa krävs det att tandhygienister lyckas nå ut med sin information och i visa fall få patienten att ändra på sitt beteende. Title: The nurse's dilemma in psychiatric inpatient care - a balancing act between good and evil Objective: To describe the nurse's experience of relieving patient suffering caused by coercive measures on a closed psychiatric ward . Frame of reference : The results are discussed in light of Eriksson´s theory of suffering and caring relationships Method: A qualitative analysis based on focus group discussions Results: The analysis resulted in six categories, to protect the patient , to involve the patient , not to lose control , to remain , to justify compulsion , and to be touched . The results showed that nurses had the experience of being able to relieve the suffering of patients caused by coercive measures. It was also found that the nurses had a tendency to justify coercive measures , the more experience they had of performing these . Conclusion: The results describe that nurses have the experience and knowledge of how to relieve patients' suffering caused by coercion but also their experiences of performing these .

Studies have shown that stress is common in the nursing profession.Purpose: The aim was to investigate nurses' experience of stress in the work environment at the University Hospital in Uppsala and how nurses deal with this stress and whether the perceived stress experienced affect patient safety and in what way. Method: The study had a descriptive, qualitative design based on nine interviews. The selection criteria for the study was that participants were nurses and that they had worked at least one year within the profession and that they had experienced stress in their work environment. Data from the interviews was analyzed using the qualitative content analysis method by Graneheim and Lundman. Results: The analysis resulted in three categories: "Stress in the workplace?, "stress management" and "patient safety? and showed that all participants had experienced stress repeatedly in their workplaces.

Caring for the suffering, dying patients and giving support to relatives is probably one of the toughest jobs a nurse can encounter. Palliative caring is, with different measures, the prolonging of life whereas hospice caring is giving patients a meaningful and natural journey toward death. The hospice philosophy is grounded on comfort, communication and peace. The expectation is that patients will have a dignified, peaceful death. The purpose of this study was to describe the nurse's role in palliative care.

Årligen avlider ca 92 000 personer i Sverige av dessa avlider ca 35 % på sjukhus eller på annan institution. Arbetet som sjuksköterska inom palliativ vård innebär nära kontakt med döden och insikten om sin egen dödlighet. Palliativ vård inriktar sig på att förbättra eller upprätthålla den sjukes livskvalitet men verkar inte för att vare sig påskynda eller fördröja döden. Syftet med denna litteratur studie var att belysa sjuksköterskans upplevelser av att vårda en patient i livets slutskede. Arbetet utfördes som en litteraturstudie där 16 vetenskapliga artiklar granskades.
