BACKGROUND: Exercise on Prescription (EoP) means that a doctor writes out a customized form of exercise to the patient instead of medicine, or in combination with medication. The activity becomes a part of the treatment. Since many today do not follow recommendations for physical activity occurs in the long term a number of public health diseases. EoP promotes health and prevents disease. AIM: The aim of this paper is toexamine whether EoP from a patient perspective perceived to be an efficient and effective method of treatment.

Background   The patient's rights to self-determine their own health care is described in Swedish legislation and guidelines. However, due to infancy, unconsciousness, severe brain damage or certain diseases, some patients might be unable to make such decisions. Ethically difficult situations do occur, not infrequently associated with culture. Since the patient is vulnerable, there is a risk that the patient in the treatment and care can not be bothered to maintain right to autonomy and that the nurse violates patient integrity.Aim                 The aim of this study was to illustrate the nurse's dilemma when the patient refuses vital caring efforts.Method           A literature review of eight scientific articles with a qualitative approach was performed.Results           The results revealed the following domains to describe the nurse's dilemma when the patient refuses vital care interventions: patients? reasons for treatment refusal, the nurse's understanding of the patient's refusal of care and contradictory legislationConclusion     More knowledge and discussion of the patient's decision-making competence is needed for both the nursing profession and those who make decisions on legislation..

Studiens huvudsakliga syfte var att undersöka och förklara begreppen ?jihad? och "heligt krig" och svara på ifall dessa begrepp kunde användas för att rättfärdiga terrorism, samt förklara den politiska islam, al-Qaida och det Muslimska Brödraskapets kopplingar till terrorism idag. Undersökningen gjordes med hjälp av kvantitativa metoder och framförallt genom litteraturstudier. Resultatet visade att det inte finns någon definitiv förklaring till begreppet jihad, utan det finns åtminstone två sätt att tolka det på, samt att våld genom jihad kan rättfärdigas genom att tolka och ta koranverser ur sin kontext. .

Patients who undergo surgery receive general anaesthesia or any form of conduction anaesthesia during the operation. For most people it is strange, unexpected and for many something completely new to be a patient and undergo surgery. Awake conduction anaesthetic patients? experiences from the intraoperative period were little studied. The purpose of this study was to examine awake conduction anaesthesia patients? experiences.

The aim is to describe the factors that influence nurses' assessment and measurement of pain in patients. Literature study based on 13 reviewed articles, searched in the Cinahl. Qualitative and quantitative articles were analyzed. Six themes were identified that can be seen as the factors that influence nurses' assessment and measurement. The themes were   pain education, nurses´ experience in the profession, nurses´ level of knowledge about pain relief, documentation about pain, nurse´s perspective on the patient, and pain measurement.

Background: Research shows that the nurse?s presence has a great significance for the relationship between patient and nurse. By this, the nurse can gain a greater understanding for the patient?s situation and thus have an opportunity to influence the patient?s health processes.Problem: Today?s focus on the technology and lack of time in healthcare can create a stress which can make it more difficult for the nurse to prove presence to the patient.Aim: To describe patients? experiences of the nurse?s presence in healthcare.Method: A qualitative approach, where Evans descriptive synthesis has been used. Eleven previously published qualitative, caring science, articles has been used in the synthesis.Results: The synthesis revealed two themes.

Background: Moral distress is an increasing concern among nurses in their workplace. Previous research has suggested that moral distress is associated with ethical climate and job dissatisfaction. Economic restraints in the organization have led to loss of nurses from the workplace. Aim: To examine nurses experience of moral distress and their causes. Method: The study was a literature review. Twelve articles were used in the study.

Every day in medical care the nurse and the patient meet, they are not just represented as the care giver and the care taker, but also as two unique individuals. The meeting is a very important part in caring and few studies have been made on this topic from the patient.s perspective. The purpose of this study was to describe the patient.s perspective on the meeting with the nurse. The study is a literature review, where articles have been reviewed, encoded, and then categorized. The result builds on our four main categories, confirmed as a unique indidual, the meaning of the information according to the patient, the humanistic side of the nurse, and the importance of humor in the meeting.

Hör slöjan hemma i en demokratisk stat? Det är inte helt lätt att avgöra eftersom slöjbruket beror på så många olika faktorer. I denna uppsats presenteras bakgrundsfakta om kvinnan i det muslimska samhället, jämställdheten, Islam och demokrati och slöjan i världen. Vad gäller slöjan så är det i grund och botten en sedvänja som inte direkt har med islam att göra.  Trots det så väljer många kvinnor att bära den som en symbol för sin religion.

Det övergripande syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att inhämta forskningsbaserad fakta för att få fram varför den muslimska kvinnan använder slöjan. Avsikten har också varit att undersöka om lärare i årskurserna 4-6 pratar om slöjan i sin undervisning om islam och vad de anser om det. Respondenterna undervisar i tre olika skolor, i två olika kommuner, och två av dem arbetar även på samma skola. Genom en litteraturstudie och kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer med lärare i årskurserna 4-6 samlades kunskaper som gav ett lämpligt underlag för att kunna uppnå syftet med arbetet och kunna besvara mina angivna frågeställningar.I arbetet har jag utgått från dessa frågeställningar som behandlas genom arbetet:Varför bär kvinnor inom islam slöja?Går lärare i årskurs 4-6  igenom den muslimska kvinnans slöja när de undervisar om islam i skolan, och i så fall hur? Frågorna ligger som grund till arbetet och besvaras fortlöpande i arbetets intervjustudie samt forskningsstudie för att sedan knytas samman i diskussionen där jag också utverderar hur jag lyckats uppfylla dem.

Aim: The aim of this study was to describe how nurses experience meeting patients with self-injurious behavior in health care and the factors that influence nurses' attitudes towards this particularly group of patients. The literature study also contains a review of the articles included datacollection method. Method: A descriptive literature review of quantitative and qualitative articles published between 2004 and 2014. The articles were sought in the databases PubMed and PsycINFO. The result of the present literaturestudy was based on 11 articles.Result:The nurses experiences were mainly positive, however, the results also shows that they feel antipathy, negative emotions, inadequacy and obstacles in the care of patients with self-injurious behavior.

Background:Studies show that when nurses are experiencing problems in the care of non-Swedish speaking patients, it is often due to obstacles in the communication. Studies also show that a prerequisite for adequate care is that there is a basis for a direct communication. Nurses perceive interpreters as an important link to the patient when they do not share a mutual language, the nurses perceive interpreters as a bridge in the conversation.Aim:The purpose of the study is to describe nurses' experiences of the quality of assessments done with the help of an interpreter.Method:The study was conducted through interviews with ten nurses, working at psychiatric clinics. Qualitative content analysis was used for the analysis, which resulted in five categories.Results:The analysis resulted in one theme: "it´s the interpreter who tells me and have not the feeling that the patient has" and five categories: "shades of the language", "conversation structure", "the interpreter's competence", "interpreting implementing" and "the interpreter's gender and origin". The nurses experience working with interpreters as a challenge.

ABSTRACTBackground: The incidence of type 2 diabetes is increasing worldwide. Early intervention in form of medication, advice on self-management and lifestyle changes is necessary to avoid complications. Few Swedish studies are made on the diabetes nurse?s views on promotion of self- management.Purpose: To examine the diabetes specialist nurse?s experience of promoting self-management to patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care.  Method: A qualitative explorative study where eight diabetes nurses were interviewed. The interview guide consisted of semistructed questions concerning the promotion of self-management.Results: The diabetes nurse?s role in promoting patient self-management is significant, if resources are available in the form of adequate time for the patient and good team work.

Hur patienter och sjuksköterskor upplever delaktighet i vården är en viktig aspekt för att kunna vidareutveckla och främja patientens delaktighet i vården. Syftet med studien var att undersöka upplevelser av patientens delaktighet ur ett patient- och sjuksköterskeperspektiv. Studien genomfördes som en systematisk litteraturstudie och grundar sig på 14 vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultaten visade att patienters upplevelser av patientdelaktighet innefattade att bli sedd och respekterad som en egen individ. Ett inbjudande klimat där sjuksköterskan var lyhörd och där relationen mellan parterna var jämlik upplevdes viktigt.

Unga muslimer i Sverige kan via Internet möta muslimsk kultur och genom mediet känna gemenskap med andra muslimer. Att förena två kulturer är inte alltid enkelt och här kan svenska islamiska webbsidor vara till hjälp. I studien undersöks fem sådana webbplatser utifrån innehåll och utseende genom observationer och textanalyser. Innehållet på sidorna skildrar hur det kan vara för en muslim att växa upp i Sverige, men interaktiviteten och möjligheten till att träffa likasinnade som är karaktäristiskt för Internet som medium saknas. Studien visar att webbplatserna främst tillhandahåller information om islam på olika sätt men att interaktivitet inte främjas..
