Theoretical framework: The Theory of Human Caring by Jean Watson was used as a theoretical framework.Aim: The aim of this literature review was to describe the attitude of nursing patients who go through an induced abortion, from a nurse perspective.Method: This literature review is based on a sample of nine qualitative and quantitative studies, collected in the databases Cinahl, PubMed and PsycInfo. The qualities of the studies were assessed through modified templates. Analysis of the results from the studies was inspired of a content analysis.Findings: The nurses experienced their work as meaningful since they give support to the patient. The nurses felt that their work was justified when the decision to have an abortion was well thought through and they felt respect towards the patient when they were aware of the patient?s circumstances.

This work is designed to monitor developments in the relationship between teacher and student in the school environment, but also outside, from the 1950s until today. The survey was based on four interviews with teachers in the same age, and based on their life stories. Their experiences range from student to novice teachers and a long working life until retirement. In addition, all four children has a parent perspective. Eftersom sjukdomen ständigt ökar så finns dessa patienter överallt. Det finns således stor möjlighet att som färdig sjuksköterska träffa dessa patienter både inom primärvård och slutenvård. Syfte: Syftet med den här litteraturstudien är att beskriva hur en sjuksköterska kan undervisa en patient med diabetes typ 2 för att uppnå följsamhet till egenvård.

This master thesis studies distributed navigation which isa function implemented in a future network based combat information system to improve the accuracy in navigation for combat vehicles in a mechanized battalion, above all in the event of loss of GPS. In the event of loss of the GPS the vehicles obtain dead reckoning performance through the backup system that consists of an odometer and a magnetic compass. Dead reckoning means a drift in the position that makes the accuracy in the navigation worse. The distributed navigation function uses position and navigation data with measurements between the vehicles to estimate the errors and uncertainties in positions, which are used to improve the accuracy in position for the vehicles. To investigate and demonstrate distributed navigation, a simulation environment has been produced in Matlab.

Background: Insufficient physical activity is a public health problem. The Swedish recommendation is to be physically active for a minimum of 30 minutes every day, which is fulfilled by about half the adult population. Recent research has shown that sedentary behavior is an independent risk factor. Physical activity on prescription (FaR®) is an individually adapted and written prescription, a method to encourage physical activity. The National Board of Health and Welfare has observed that counseling combined with a written prescription convey better adherence than just counseling.

Trees in urban environment are exposed to extreme conditions, foremost the ones that grow in the hard packed soil along our streets. They are also exposed to damaging insects and fungal diseases both local and new ones spreading from South Europe. The global warming with warmer temperatures provides a longer growing season, making it easier for insects and fungus to establish a habitat. Based on these facts new tree species need to be available for future urban plantings.To determine what these trees would be an interview study began. Six people were selected who have experience in the field of urban environment planting.

Syftet med denna studie var att se effekten och upplevelsen av två månaders sjukgymnastik och informationsöverföring på distans via videokommunikation i realtid för en axelledsopererad patient och dennes slutenvårds- och öppenvårdssjukgymnast. Studien involverade en patient som opererades vid Sunderby sjukhus (SY). Efter utskrivningen genomfördes sjukgymnastik på distans med sjukgymnasten på sjukhuset och patienten i hemmet under två månaders tid. Den teknik som har använts är videokommunikation Integrated System Digital Network (ISDN), (TV-monitor, kamera, mikrofon, belysning och videobandspelare), som kopplats in via det digitala telefonnätverket dels i patientens hem dels på sjukhuset. Resultaten visade att patientens smärta reducerades och att axelrörlighet, funktionsförmåga, muskelstyrka, sömn, hälsorelaterad livskvalitet och tillfredsställelse förbättrades efter operationen och två månaders sjukgymnastik på distans via videokommunikation..

Introduction: Balance between the essential nutritive substances is important for aperson to maintain health. The surgical patient can be stricken with conditions, whichhave a negative impact on this balance and can lead to malnutrition. Working as a nurseit is important to identify patients that are malnourished or is in the risk zone ofmalnourishment since 30 % of all patients in hospitals are malnourished.Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the compliance to the guidelines fornutritional assessment and parenteral nutrition on a surgical ward. Also whether thenutritional treatment/-support was reported to the next caregivers if the patient wasmalnourished or was in the risk zone of malnourishment at the time of discharge.Method: 80 patients enrolled on the ward in the beginning of year 2011 were included.Audit of patient records was made according to the hospital guidelines for nutrition andparenteral nutrition and followed a study specific protocol.Results: The examination of the case records showed that the guidelines for nutritionwere partly complied with. Nutritional treatment/-support was reported to the nextcaregivers when needed.

Behandling och omvårdnad är en stor utmaning för intensivvårdsteamet p.g.a. den intensivvårdskrävande patientens komplexa behov. Mobilisering av patienten är en omvårdnads-åtgärd som används för att optimera patientens fysiska och psykiska status. Kunskapen om mobiliseringens eventuella nytta kommer från kunskap om immobiliseringens negativa effekter d.v.s. att sängliggande leder till risker för komplikationer.

Bakgrund: Det finns fyra olika informationskällor tillgängliga som ska upplysa läkemedelsanvändaren om preparatens biverkningar och dess frekvens. Dessa stämmer dock inte alltid överens utan ger olika upplysningar, vilket kan skapa förvirring och misstänksamhet mot informationen som ges. Detta kan leda till att man kanske inte vågar ta sin ordinerade medicin. Syfte: Att jämföra om presentationen av biverkningar i Produktresumén för Betablockerare i ATC kod C07, överensstämmer med övriga informationskällor så som Bipacksedel, FASS och Patient FASS. Årligen avlider ca 92 000 personer i Sverige av dessa avlider ca 35 % på sjukhus eller på annan institution. Arbetet som sjuksköterska inom palliativ vård innebär nära kontakt med döden och insikten om sin egen dödlighet. Palliativ vård inriktar sig på att förbättra eller upprätthålla den sjukes livskvalitet men verkar inte för att vare sig påskynda eller fördröja döden. Syftet med denna litteratur studie var att belysa sjuksköterskans upplevelser av att vårda en patient i livets slutskede. Arbetet utfördes som en litteraturstudie där 16 vetenskapliga artiklar granskades.

Syfte: Att beskriva nyutexaminerade allmänsjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vårda patienter i livets slut. Metod: Författaren har genomfört en kvalitativ intervjustudie med beskrivande design. Undersökningsgruppen valdes ut genom bekvämlighetsurval och bestod av sju allmänsjuksköterskor som jobbat max två år som sjuksköterska. Det insamlade materialet analyserades utifrån en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat I analysen framkom sju kategorier. De intervjuade sjuksköterskorna beskrev en tillfredsställelse i arbetet med patienter i livets slut, vilket kunde dels bero på att de utvecklades i det jobb de gör, men det kunde också bero på att de fick uppskattning från patient och anhöriga. Trots arbetstillfredsställelsen som sjuksköterskorna beskrev kunde de även få en känsla av otillräcklighet i vårdandet av patienter i livets slut, vilket kunde vara en konsekvens av brist på tid och personal.

To do this I found it necessary to figure out what it is that makes people step outside their own apartment and out into the city?s public places. The reasons for this are numerous and many times individually affected. Something that plays a role in people?s outdoor life and prevents them from spending time outside is the lack of time, the technique of today and the feeling off insecurity.

Smärta är en vanlig orsak till att människor söker akutmottagningar och patienter med smärta blir ofta undermåligt smärtlindrade. Smärtan är en subjektiv upplevelse som även präglas av tidigare erfarenheter i livet. Genom att identifiera faktorer som påverkar patientens tillfredsställelse med smärtlindringen kan vårdpersonal ge en mer optimal vård och undvika ett vårdlidande för patienten. Litteraturstudien är baserad på 11 st kvantitativa internationella artiklar med kvalitativa inslag. Granskning av artiklarna visar att det finns faktorer som påverkar patientens tillfredsställelse.
