Hotellbranschen kännetecknas av att vara kapitalintensiv med höga fasta och förhållandevis låga rörliga kostnader. Ett osålt hotellrum medför konsekvenser på resultatet eftersom de inte går att lagra till senare försäljning. Revenue Management är ett verktyg på mikronivå som hjälper företag att ta fördel av och förutse alla möjligheter som flyter omkring på marknaden på ett taktiskt och strategiskt sätt. Revenue Management är, som vi kommit fram till under arbetes gång, ett ganska svårfångat begrepp. Arbetet med Revenue Management har blivit något på modet.

Konfusion är mycket vanligt förekommande hos äldre och skapar stort lidande, ger höga samhällskostnader och orsakar hög mortalitet. Syftet med studien var att belysa sjuksköterskans icke farmakologiska omvårdnadsåtgärder vid konfusion hos äldre patienter. Metoden var en litteraturstudie, vilken innefattade tio artiklar där relevanta omvårdnadsåtgärder framkom, dessa presenterades i resultatet under VIPS - modellens åtgärdssökord. Resultatet av studien visade att patienter med konfusion mindes och uppmärksammade vad som skedde med och runt omkring dem. Viktigt var att få information om sitt konfusionstillstånd för att förstå vad som hände och varför.

I dagens sjukvård är det mindre personal som tar hand om flera patienter, vilket kan resultera i att fokus på patienten som en unik person glöms bort. Personalens bemötande är viktigt för att få en god kontakt med patienterna, detta ska byggas på att personalen respekterar människans värdighet, integritet och självbestämmande. Syftet med studien var att belysa patientens upplevelse av bemötande utifrån patientens perspektiv. Genom att se vad som är viktigt för patienterna i bemötandet med personalen och hur patienterna påverkas av bemötandet, kan personal inom sjukvården utföra sitt arbete med större insikt. Metoden är en litteraturstudie där sju vetenskapliga artiklar användes och analyserades med hjälp av Burnards innehållsanalys.

Introduktion: Kommunikation betyder att göra något tillsammans, ha förbindelse med ellergöra någon annan delaktig i något. Kommunikation kan ha som mål att reducera ovisshet,utveckla relationer samt att ge patient och närstående en rörelseinriktning. En del avkommunikationen sker på icke-verbal väg. Socialstyrelsen säger i sin kompetensbeskrivning atten del av sjuksköterskans ansvarsområde är bemötande, information och undervisning, en avdelkompetenserna är att ha förmåga till att kommunicera med patient, närstående, personal ochandra på ett respektfullt, lyhört och empatiskt sätt.Syfte: Att belysa kommunikationen mellan sjuksköterska och patient/närstående i onkologiskvård samt att se hur man kan förbättra kommunikationen hos sjuksköterskorMetod: Litteraturgenomgång. Artiklarna är sökta via CINAHL och PUBMEDResultat: Patienter och sjuksköterskor upplevde sjuksköterskans arbetsbelastning som ensvårighet för bra kommunikation.

 Inledning: Patienter som varit svårt sjuka och vårdats på intensivvårdsavdelning, upplever ofta oro och ångest, när de ska överflyttas till vårdavdelning. Dessa patienter har stort vårdbehov, eftersom flertalet inte återhämtat sig, från sitt svåra sjukdoms tillstånd. Patienterna är fortfarande mycket trötta, har nedsatt muskelkraft och svårt att klara sig själva. Målet med studien är, att med kunskap om hur patienter upplever överflyttningen, försöka finna former för hur vi ska kunna underlätta denna för patienten. Syftet med studien är att beskriva patienters upplevelser i samband med överflyttning från intensivvårdsavdelningen till vårdavdelningen.

The main objective of this essay is to examine how the identities of young people are influenced by their choice of an individual sport or a team sport.The following questions are the focus of the essay:? How does the sport influence the creation of an identity for active young people?? How will the choice of an individual sport or a team sport affect the development of an identity in young people who practises sport?To achieve the objective of this essay I have used a qualitative research approach. The empirical material has been collected with help of eight semi-structured interviews. Four of them were held with young people who practised swimming and the other four with young people who played soccer. The essay is structured from Derek Layders model regarding how to understand the social reality.

AimThe aim of this study has been to examine how health enhancement teachers in Montana, USA, view the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective.In what way does the health enhancement teacher think the importance of physical activity from a lifelong perspective could be presented?What resources are available for teachers to present the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective?MethodThe issue has been answered through qualitative interviews consisting of six health enhancement teachers, four women and two men, in Montana, USA. One of the teachers worked at an elementary school (for 30 years), three teachers worked at middle schools (20, 10 and 8 years of work experience) and two of the teachers interviewed worked at a high school (30 and 3 years).  ResultsThe majority of teachers feel that a wide variety of activities, adapted to an individual level, and the understanding of a healthy lifestyle are important in order for the teacher to present the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective.The teachers felt they had sufficient material in order to present the value of physical activity, where the school budget provided the teachers with materials every year. In addition to the budget, all the teachers had 12 hours of professional development every year where they could attend conferences or their own choice of professional development.ConclusionWith the help in forms of professional development offered by the school, conferences, meeting with other teachers, and their own choice of development, the teachers instruction techniques could increase which could help the teachers to find the pupils? interest for different kinds of physical activities.KeywordsPhysical education and health, physical activity, SOC, sense of coherence..

Fibromyalgi är ett kroniskt tillstånd av diffus smärta och trötthet. Syftet var att undersöka hur individer upplever att leva med fibromyalgi. Den forskningsmetod som användes var en litteraturstudie och Polit och Beck nio-stegsmodell användes. De sökord som användes var fibromyalgia, life experience och patient experience. Databaserna som tillämpades var CINAHL och PubMed samt manuella sökningar.

The aim of this report is to discuss computer security in handheld computers and to find out the appropriate security level that must be implemented to be able to use handheld computers within the Swedish healthcare system. Most healthcare centers are using some kind of electronic journals for their patient´s data today, but there are still a number of clinics that are usingthe old paper-system. On a few places in Sweden the use of handheld computers at the clinics has already started, but in the United States the use of handheld computers in the medical area is already widespread and from this we can see a lot of different situations where it is useful and effective to work with handheld computers. The security demands on patient´s journals are high and regulated in both Swedish law and regulations from the National Swedish Board of Health and Welfare. The law does not have any substantial demands, but states that there should be an adequate security level based on the nature of the information and the costs.

I olika perioder har ämnet våld inom psykiatrin lyfts fram i media, ofta i samband med att ett våldsdåd har begåtts av en ?våldsam psykpatient?. Varken i media eller i den tidigare forskningen är det vanligt att ämnet blir belyst ur ett patientperspektiv. Denna kvalitativa studie försöker fånga ett inifrån-perspektiv och tar sin ansats i att försöka beskriva vad som kan leda fram till att det uppstår konflikt- och våldssituationer på en sluten psykiatrisk avdelning. Studien har genomförts med hjälp av samtal med sju personer med erfarenhet av våld under sin vistelse på en sluten avdelning.

The object with this work was to create a simple feeding program for beef cows. Another object was that I could learn more about the properties and functions of Excel and Visual Basic. I used parts of a program I designed a few years ago. This old program was neither user friendly nor had it an appealing layout. Initially I decided how I wanted the new program to appear and on which foundation it should be built. I designed various forms into a spread sheet, such as lists and multiple choice buttons. Using VBA (Visual Basic for Application) I could create macros, which used the information chosen in the lists and with the multiple choices to calculate the feeding requirement or the feeding plan.

Humor kan vara en meningsfull del i omvårdnaden dåinteraktionen mellan sjuksköterska och patient stärks, men kan mananvända sig av humor inom intensivvård med tanke på traumatiskasituationer och avancerad teknik?Att undersöka hur intensivvårdssjuksköterskor använder humor iarbetet med icke sederade patienter.Data insamlades genom intervjuer med tvåintensivvårdssjuksköterskor. Kvalitativ innehållsanalys användes sombearbetningsmetod.Sjuksköterskorna använde humor som ett sätt att ökavälbefinnande för patienter, anhöriga och inom personalgruppen. Genomatt använda humor kunde sjuksköterskan avdramatisera sin makt iförhållande till patienten. Humor kunde också vara ett kommunikativtredskap i relationen med patienterna.Användandet av humor inom intensivvården kräver attsjuksköterskan är lyhörd och medveten om patientens utsatta situation.Om humor används utan eftertanke kan resultatet bli att patienten kännersig kränkt och relationen med sjuksköterskan blir försämrad.Humor är en viktig del av kommunikationen.

The purpose with this project is to evaluate which of today?s technologies for creating web applications is the most suitable to use when constructing web portals. From a great amount of different technologies, five of the most widespread and well known technologies have been chosen and closely examined on nine different web portal specific criteria. The result from this evaluation is a table where all the grades for each technology is displayed. With the help of this table, it is possible to get an idea about what technology is the most suitable to use when constructing a specific web portal.
