Den här studien bygger på fem informanter på Island som i skriftlig form beskriver varsitt starkt och positivt minne som de har av en upplevelse med hästar. Minnet måste utspela sig i naturen och informanterna uppumntras att beskriva så många aspekter och detaljer som de kom ihåg utifrån upplevelsen.Studiens syfte var att undersöka ryttarens upplevelse utifrån följande delperspektiv; upplevelsen av samspelet med hästen, upplevelsen av landskapet samt upplevelsen av hälsa, för att få en djupare kunskap kring dessa områden och vinna insikt i hur de samspelar i helhetsupplevelsen.Materialet visade efter bearbetning enligt den deskriptiva fenomenologiska humanvetenskapliga metoden att ryttaren har ett väldigt nära samspel med hästen, där förtroende och glädje är viktiga bitar i relationen. Ryttaren ser på hästen som en vän eller partner och strävar efter att utveckla relationen dem emellan. När allt fungerar kan ryttaren få en upplevelse av att bli ett med hästen och uppleva en känsla av motståndslöshet.

This study describes the intellectual ability of a cohort consisting of 120 young women in compulsory care at a SiS institution in Sweden, tested and analyzed between January 2001 and May 2005. The women have been tested with the intelligence tests WISC-III or WAIS-R, as well as the personality trait tests BCT, CMPS and SCL-90, and the personality disorder test SCID-II. This material has been analyzed to investigate how these women's intellectual ability relates to other factors. The analyses show that the main difference between the women of this study and the normal population is their level of intelligence and presence of personality disorders. The IQ level of these women is statistically proven on an average one standard deviation lower than the normal population.

Föreliggande studie har för avsikt att ta reda på hur samarbetet mellan de inblandade instanserna ser ut, vid brott gällande sexuellt utnyttjande av barn under femton år. Studien fokuserar på rättsprocessen och informanternas upplevelser i samband med samarbetet mellan myndigheter, resurser och barnkonventionen. Samarbetet analyseras med hjälp av Max Webers sociala handlingar, aktör och struktur, makt och maktresurs, institutionalisering, kyrkan och kristendomen som institution och nya testamentet.Frågeställningen är: Hur upplever intervjupersonerna utredningsprocessen? Hur upplever intervjupersonerna samarbetet mellan de inblandade instanserna? Vilka svårigheter identifieras utav respondenterna i processen? Hur beskrivs arbetet med barnkonventionen utifrån respektive intervjuperson? Hur anser intervjupersonerna att sexuella övergrepp mot barn prioriteras i samhället?En av slutsatserna är att samarbetet mellan instanserna inte är till belåtenhet och att samarbetet påverkas av vad respektive myndighet har för handlingsförmåga. Handlingsförmågan möjliggörs av organisationens handlingsstruktur som också är den som sätter ramarna utifrån de ekonomiska resurserna som finns att tillgå för arbetet..

Att verka på en global marknad innebär kulturella skillnader, tidsskillnader och annorlunda arbetsmetoder som ställer speciella krav på medarbetare och deras kompetens. Att sända anställda på utlandsuppdrag eller så kallad expatriering innebär för företagen att omlokalisera sådan kompetens utomlands. Flytta och arbeta utomlands innebär förutom många möjligheter också många problem för både företaget och den anställde med familj. Ett växande problem som identifierats av flera författare är att omlokaliseringen av par med varsin karriär blir allt svårare eftersom expatriering ofta innebär att den medföljande partnern tvingas ge upp/ta paus i sin karriär. Det finns även tidigare forskning som visar att par med varsin karriär är extra vanligt just i de nordiska länderna.

AimThe aim of this essay is to investigate the possibility to exercise climbing within the framework of the physical education in the obligatory school. We investigated how physical education teachers think about exercising climbing in school and how the Swedish Climbing Association is working to reach out to schools.MethodA questionnaire was sent out to 81 schools (Idrottshögskolans partner schools) in suburban Stockholm, which corresponds to 10% of the total amount of schools in that area. A mail interview was also made with a representative for the Swedish Climbing Association who also represented a local climbing association, to collect information about how they worked with schools and youth.ResultsWe have not found anything in the steering documents against exercising climbing during physical education. There are obstacles for exercising climbing during physical education, a wall for climbing is very expensive and the schools have a lack of space for this wall. The results from the questionnaire showed that 76% of all the schools that did not have a wall for climbing wanted to have one.

Antalet äldre människor i Sverige ökar. Ensamhet förekommer främst hos äldre och påverkar deras livskvalité. Det är viktigt att ha kunskap om äldre människors upplevelser av ensamhet för att kunna främja hälsa och välbefinnande. Syftet med denna studie är att belysa äldre människors upplevelser av ensamhet.En kvalitativ analysmetod vilket består av tre faser helhet-delar-helhet användes för att analysera data och datainsamling skedde genom intervjuer med nio äldre människor över 65 år. Intervjuerna spelades in på band och transkriberades.

The purpose of the study is to examine what effects the law has on principals? approaches to mandatory reporting of child maltreatment (Social Services Act 14:1§). Moreover, the aim is to study if the regulation gets the impact intended. To respond to the purpose, legal science methods in the form of sociology of law were employed aided by qualitative semi-structured research interviews. The interviews comprised six principals in six different schools in the Stockholm area.

Purpose/Aim: This essay seeks to describe in what way different newspapers framed Uppsala Reggaefestival, which is a music festival in Uppsala, Sweden. Not only the local press, but also the framing by national press will be analyzed. Furthermore, it seeks to discuss what causes different frames.Material/Method: The material consist of 96 articles from 4 different newspapers which are being analyzed through a quantitative content analysis method inspired by Melin and Lange, and their ideas of identifying the main message of a text. The media framing of Uppsala Reggaefestival are compared to another similar music festival in Sweden, Arvikafestivalen. By using theories about media framing and media logic the results can, if not explained, at least be discussed.Main results: The study shows that Uppsala Reggaefestival is framed in a way that is focused on the problems within the festival, for example drug abuse.

The economic growth in Ireland, during the 1990s, lead to changing migration patterns. Ireland became a destination country for immigrants instead of an emigration country. Before 2004 people who were born on the island of Ireland had a constitutional right to Irish citizenship. This right was removed after a referendum in 2004.National identity is a sense of community constructed through common history and defines who belongs to the nation. The purpose of this thesis is to do a critical discourse analysis of the debate in media before the referendum.The analysis was done on texts from The Irish Times, one of the major newspapers in Ireland.

Statistics shows that drunk driving and relapse increases in the Swedish society and it?s a problem that can be considered worth examining because of all the negative consequences that it conveys. To reduce the number of relapse it?s urgent that individuals that have been drunk and driving begins treatment and precedes it. The purpose of this study was to, from a client and therapeutic perspective, examine why drunk drivers begin treatment for their alcohol abuse and furthermore to investigate what?s important for the individual so that he completes the treatment.

ABSTRACT New in a foreign country ? the importance of civic orientationJessica Gerhardt & Hiba Sultan We have examined the information on parenting in Sweden that is given to new immigrants through civic orientation. The aim of the study was to investigate how new arrivals are being informed of Swedish laws and regulations relating to child rearing and corporal punishment. The study also aims to examine how a lack of information about raising children in civic orientation can affect newly arrived families. Our empirical work has been created by a focus group interview with the child and family unit on social services and a call interview with an SFI-teachers who teach newly arrived immigrants in civic orientation.

ABSTRACTThe aim for this study is to examine how relatives to children who participated/participate in Youth and family team Sputnik-group, oriented towards support groups for children of substance abusing parents, perceive the work done by the organization. On the basis of this aim three questions were formulated: do the relatives perceive a change in the communication with the child as an effect of the child?s participation in Sputnik?s activities, do the relatives perceive a change in their relationship with the child as an effect of the child?s participation in Sputnik?s activities, do the relatives think that their awareness of substance abuse have changed following the child?s participation in Sputnik?s activities. Previous research, Mead?s perspective, the concept of ?groups? and support groups for children, were used to interpret the results.

Det är av stor vikt att vårdpersonal har goda kunskaper när det gäller bemötandet av kvinnor som blir utsatta för våld, eftersom sjukvården oftast är den första eller enda instans som kvinnan kommer i kontakt med. Det framgår enligt undersökning att nästan 50 % av alla kvinnor över 15 år har någon gång utsatts för psykiskt, fysiskt eller sexuellt våld av sin partner. Syftet med studien var att belysa faktorer som påverkar vårdpersonals möte med våldsutsatta kvinnor. Metoden som användes var innehållsanalys av vetenskapliga studier enligt Burnard. Resultatet visar att viktiga faktorer som påverkar mötet är rädsla hos vårdpersonal, frustration och brist i kunskap när det gäller kvinnovåld och hur man skall kommunicera med kvinnan på ett tillfredsställande sätt.

The thesis work has been carried out at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC) in Trollhättan. VAC has entered a partnership as developing and producing partner with engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney and is currently at the starting phase of producing the turbine rear frame (TEC) to the engine PW1000.The purpose of this study was to create a report on process level that describes the conditions and the potential with PW1000 TEC to reach the product cost calculation taking into account lead times and describe alternative method solutions.The report describes a comparison between the present flow (2012), a flow based on product cost calculation (2016) and a potential flow (2016). The work has mainly been based on acquiring the knowledge and information available to inspect the present flow; this has been done by workshop observations, meetings and gathering of the information that is available on the work site for the PW1000 TEC.The information obtained has been merged into an Excel document, called Roadmap. It serves as a roadmap with current situation as the start and the potential flow for 2016 as the goal. With the roadmap as a tool, assumptions have been taken considering the flow and how it will change, where processes have been eliminated, reduced or marked as a problem..
