The aim of this study was to investigate how school personnel work with preventive and health promoting efforts to motivate young people to achieve interest in physical activity and nutrition awareness. Further the aim was to describe the possibilities and difficulties that school personnel experience in their work.  The research questions were: How do school personnel describe their health promoting work at school? In a health promotion perspective, what efforts do school personnel think is important when it comes to nutrition and physical activity? What possibilities do school personnel experience with health promoting efforts? What difficulties do school personnel experience with health promoting efforts?The study has a qualitative approach in which seven individual interviews were conducted with personnel at a secondary school. The respondents worked with different aspects which broadened the perspective.

This article is about Abrahams Children foundation and its teaching method called IE- method. It?s about how a teacher can use the IE- method in the religion lesson. There were some questions in this article that had to be answered and the questions are:- How is the form of the religion classes when a teacher uses the IE- method?- What happens in the class when you study the interaction and the communication?- Does the student?s Participation increase when they work with the IE- method?- What are the advantage and the disadvantage with the IE- method?- Can the teacher use the IE- method in other classes?To get to the ?correct? answer I used many methods like, observation in the class, qualitative interview with the teacher (Lisa Andersson) and with four students (Kim, Erik, Amanda, Patrik) and I also used questionnaire.

The purpose of this essay is to illustrate immigrants? and refugees? thoughts and experiences of the process of integrating into Swedish society and to examine which social networks foster the process. The main questions in the study are: * What experiences enable refugees and immigrants to become integrated and fully participating members of the Swedish society?* What is the importance of the social networks with regards to integration into Swedish society? A qualitative method was used and five interviews were completed with SFI (Swedish for immigrants) students. The study shows that knowledge of Swedish language promotes an initiative in contacting native Swedes, and it also determines the success of integration.

SammanfattningDenna uppsats handlar om folkhälsoarbete inom en pågående bebyggelseplanering i ett utsatt område i Köpings kommun. Bebyggelseplaneringen inriktar sig på att skapa stödjande miljöer och samverkan för att lyfta området och göra det mer hälsofrämjande. Studiens teoretiska referensram är modellerna HELPSAM och SESAME som är viktiga verktyg inom tvärsektoriellt arbete. Syftet med studien var att studera planering och genomförande av förbättringsarbetet i bostadsområdet Byjorden i Köpings kommun. Metoden som använts har en kvalitativ studiedesign med enskilda semistrukturerade intervjuer.

Thanks to I have got to explore different teaching ways around the problem solving in a year 3, in a multicultural school which is located south of Stockholm, I have been able to answer my question at issue in my degree work. My question at issue on this investigation and the purpose with my degree work was to explore different teaching ways that promotes pupils with another mother tongue than Swedish, to develop reading comprehension and to get a better understanding of mathematical concepts in problem solving tasks. On this investigation have I chosen to teach these pupils to explore, reach and gain a deeper understanding of what teaching about problem solving promotes these pupils. I have when it concerns choice of method and material collections assumed from a qualitative investigation and gathered the material with help from Participation notices and interviews. I have in my investigation reached the conclusion that those pupils with another mother tongue than Swedish developed reading comprehension and got a better understanding of mathematical concepts in problem solving tasks by being taught in a creative and varied teaching. Several studies has identified the locker room experience as a potential deterrent for Participation in physical education. Both psychological and physical issues arise due to several factors. Psychological issues include different kinds of verbal and physical violations, comparisons between pupils, feeling of vulnerability along with a stressful schedule. The physical environment can contribute to negative experience for pupils in terms of filthy premises and cold showers. These factors may contribute to higher absentee rates in physical education.

Bakgrund: Balanced Scorecard (BSC) har blivit ett populärt sätt att mäta ett företags prestationer, då det inkluderar både finansiella och ickefinansiella mål och mått. Samtidigt ses styrkortet som ett verktyg för att kommunicera företagets strategi och skapa en förståelse i hela organisationen för vad företaget vill uppnå. Trots att BSC är ett mycket framgångsrikt begrepp saknas det empiriska studier kring hur modellen upplevs och används av anställda på operativ nivå och hur styrningsverktyget påverkar dem.Syfte: Undersökningens syfte är att beskriva hur BSC används på operativ nivå i ett företag samt förklara hur strategi och målformulering uppfattas av individen och påverkar dennes beteende. Vidare är undersökningens syfte att utveckla en modell för att öka den operativa relevansen i BSC.Slutsats: För att uppnå de fördelar som BSC kan erbjuda krävs en förankring i hela organisationen samt ett engagemang och involvering i styrkortsprocessen från alla anställda. Vi anser att problemen med BSC som uppkommer många gånger kan härledas till svårigheter att tydliggöra och att koppla strategin och BSC till vad individen arbetar med i sin vardag.

Bakgrund: I denna studie defineras etnicitet som ett samlingsbegrepp för ursprung medan kultur som ett socialt inlärt beteende och är föränderlig i sitt sammanhang. I litteraturen framkommer att patienter med annan etniskt och kulturell bakgrund objektiviseras av sjukvårdpersonalen, individen betraktas som en representant för sin kultur. I Sverige finns många människor med annan etnisk och kulturell bakgrund. Människor som emigrerar drabbats av psykisk ohälsa i högre grad än genomsnittsbefolkningen de löper större risk för stress, oro och ångest.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva specialistsjuksköterskors möte med en patient som har en annan etnisk och kulturell bakgrund och vårdas för psykisk ohälsa.Metod: Datainsamlades via intervjuer av fem specialistsjuksköterskor. I denna studie används en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Två kategorier framkommer ur resultatet.

Introduction: On the surgical wards in most hospitals in Sweden patients with different surgical needs are cared for. Patients with gastrointestinal conditions are, for example, nurtured alongside patients with urological disorders or patients in need of observation for head trauma. When the nurse, in addition to these patients, have to care for patients with palliative care needs can be perceived as problematic for nurse and patient alike.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore nurses' perceptions of care for patients with palliative care needs on an acute surgical ward, based on a person-centered perspective.Method: A focus group interview was conducted with the strategic selection of nurses from two acute surgical wards in a county hospital in western Sweden. The data from the interview were analyzed with qualitative directed, deductive content analysis with person-centered care as a theoretical framework. The theoretical background shows that person-centered care includes partnership, Participation and structured documentation.Results: The results of this study show that even a fourth category, organization, emerged and needed to be reported.

Delaktighet och socialt kapital är två viktiga beståndsdelar för en god hälsa. Inom dessa begrepp inryms sociala nätverk, socialt stöd och tillit som återkommer när föreningsdelaktighet diskuteras. I Sverige är föreningstraditionen väl förankrad vilket bevisas då ungefär hälften av Sveriges befolkning arbetar i en förening.Syftet med studien var att kartlägga studenters delaktighet i studiesocial verksamhet samt studera relationer mellan studenters delaktighet och hälsa. För att besvara syftet skickades en webbenkätundersökning till samtliga andraårsstudenter på akademin för hållbar samhälls- och teknikutveckling på Mälardalens högskola, Västerås.Resultatet, med en svarsfrekvens på 20 procent, visar att två tredjedelar av studenterna har deltagit i aktiviteter inom studiesocial verksamhet medan ungefär 40 procent var delaktiga i arbetet i någon förening. Anledningen till att studenter valde att vara delaktiga i arbetet var främst för att träffa andra människor och skapa kontaktnät.Statistiska signifikanstest av samband var inte möjliga att genomföra mellan deltagande i aktiviteter och hälsa, praktiskt stöd eller emotionellt stöd på grund av att datamaterialet var för litet och även snedfördelat.

Words like pirates and anti-pirates are becoming common features in the cultural political debate of today, and the file-sharing phenomenon has become a more and more delicate and disputed subject. The fact that people are organizing in networks to swap computerfiles with each other has, among other things, led film and music companies from all over the world to initiate a number of anti-piracy organizations, assigned to protect the right to culture and information. The industrial organization Antipiratbyrån (the Anti-pirate Bureau) and the network Piratbyrån (the Pirate Bureau) have on several occasions been used to represent the prevailing conflict in Sweden. The purpose of this study is to apply a sociological perspective to the collective act of file sharing. Additionally, the purpose is to argue that the activity can be understood as a social movement, although it is rarely referred to as such.

Studies show that children?s and adolescents health decreases, especially the mental health. There are today many health methods that flourish in the school area. Methods that is external and used as individual interventions and methods that have the intention to integrate health in all aspects of the school curriculum.Research on health projects often show what the intervention or method has produced. Bakgrund: Schizofreni är en psykisk sjukdom som ofta har inverkan på det dagliga livet. Tillståndet kan leda till allvarlig kognitiv svikt och i förlängningen till tvångsvård. Sjukdomsbilden gör att patienterna inte alltid kan eller vill delta i beslut kring sin egen vård. Delaktighet kan därför bli komplext i förhållande till denna patientgrupp. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa faktorer som kan påverka delaktighet i vården hos patienter med schizofreni.

During spring 2001 we have been involved with our bachelor thesis at Doberman Digital Agency, an Internet related webdesign company. We have focused our work on the registration process via digital medias such as the Internet. During our workprocess we have been conducting a number of studies and analyses of workrelated materials. Ethnographical methods such as structured interviews and participant observations were primarily used in our work. We also widely used brainstorming in our designprocess.
