The purpose of this study was to examine how the foster parent's need of support is provided. The study was built upon a qualitative method with interviews with ten foster Parents. More specifically, its aim was too find out how the foster Parents themselves looked upon how their need of support, and from whom the support was provided. According to the law, it is the social services obligation to provide the foster Parents with all the support they could need. The picture the media sends out is different from what it should be because according to them, the social services fall short in the follow-up and also the support of the contact with the foster Parents.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the functions of the public library for Parents of infants and how they see the ideal library. The research questions are: How do Parents of infants use the library and what are their experience of it? What opinions and wishes do Parents of infants have regarding the library? How can library services be developed to better match the needs of the Parents of infants? The theoretical approach is based on Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model of the public library?s functions and the model of classification by Ellen-Merete Duvold and Gunnar Sæbø. To answer my research questions I have carried out three focus-group interviews with Parents of infants. The study revealed that the public library functions as a cultural centre, a social centre, a knowledge centre and, to a certain extent, an information centre for the Parents.

The aim of this study was to examine how the feelings of ?being met? from personnel can affect suicidal youth and their Parents, when searching for help. Five Swedish Parents share their experiences of ?being met? by personnel regarding the care of their child who has taken their life. ?Face to face? interviews where done with four of the Parents.

The purpose of this study is to create an understanding of how Parents and preschool teachers experience induction at preschool. The induction creates collaboration between preschool teachers and Parents where the interaction and socio-cultural factors have been key theories for the work task.The method used has been of qualitative nature where interviews were made with Parents and preschool teachers. In these interviews, they shared their insights of how they experienced the interaction and communication during induction. I asked the Parents what they felt was good communication and interaction during the induction. The same question was given to preschool teachers to respond to and also if there was something that worked less good during induction.The results show that Parents and preschool teachers feel that induction works well satisfactory and that it is important that the interaction work well between both parts.

The purpose of this paper is to examine what opinions Parents have of the after school-centre, if they know that it has an objective and what that objective is. This will be examined by surveying Parents with children in after school-centre. The questions posed in the study are as follows: Do Parents know the objective of after school-centre? What is the general view of after school-centre among Parents? The results show that 41 percent know that there is an objective while 39 percent don't. Only 6 percent can describe what the objective is.

There's a good adherence to the vaccination of children, about 98% of all two year olds are vaccinated. Despite this, there are cases of whooping cough and measles in Sweden. The purpose of the study was to describe what motivates Parents to not vaccinate and reflections and attiudes about vaccinations. The study had a descriptive design with qualitative approach. Eight Parents who had chosen not to follow the National Board of Health?s vaccination program or whom had decided to completely abandon, participated in the study.

These measures could target the child itself, its Parents, or other parts of the social network surrounding the child. Parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders are often deeply engaged both in their child and in these measures.Three Parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders, and four counselors in different habilitation centers, were interviewed. The purpose of this qualitative interview study was to describe the methods with which the counselors worked to support Parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders, and to understand how the Parents experienced this support offered by the counselors.The qualitative interviews with counselors and Parents followed a thematic interview guide. A structured interview form was used.

Background: To be a parent to a child dying of cancer affect not just the Parents themselves, but the whole family. Experiences of fear, powerlessness and anxiety surrounds them. Nurses need knowledge about Parents? experiences to help and support these Parents adequately. Aim: The aim of the study was to describe Parents? experiences of losing a child to cancer, from diagnosis to the child?s death.

This study rises up an untouched area of ??research where the relationship between newly arrived Parents and teachers is examined from a structural perspective. Previous research has looked only at the interaction between Parents and teacher; this study is thus a theoretical contribution to the research. The aim of the study is met by examining the perceptions newly arrived Parents have of their meeting with the Swedish school, the relationship with their children?s teacher, cooperation, collaboration between home and school, as well as their own influence in their children's learning.

The purpose of this essay is to study how Parents of children with disabilities young people make their choice of support and service LSS. The study takes its lead from questions designed to determine which interventions Parents use for their children. What Parents think about today's choice and if satisfactory, or if they have other wishes. It is also about how Parents experience the freedom of choice and participation in the selection of interventions. Furthermore how the parent discuss the topic of choice from childhood and parental perspective.

The purpose of this study was to illustrate a parental perspective of children´s participation and quality of live through personal assistance. Important aspects of Parents' experiences were highlighted based on how they experienced participation and quality of life for their children. We chose to use a qualitative approach in the form of four individual interviews with Parents from different municipalities in central Sweden. The study was conducted with a narrative approach in which we used a holistic perspective. Parents' experiences were highlighted over time to create a complete picture.

When the introduction starts for the child and their Parents it holds many emotions. There are many emotions involved in the first meeting between preschool and home for both the children and their Parents. So my purpose with this study is to focus on two introduction models educators at my selected preschool works by. The purpose of my study is to focus on the two introduction models that are used by educators at my selected preschool. I ´m going to view this two models by examining how the educators prepare before the introduction starts and look at their point of view.

The aim of the study was to evaluate Parents and course directors?experiences of the AKKTIV ComAlong-course (Augmentative and AlternativeCommunication ? Early Intervention). ComAlong targets Parents of pre-schoolchildren with extensive communication difficulties and aims to give Parentsknowledge about different aspects of communication, communication developmentand AAC. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used. Individualinterviews and pair-interviews with totally nine persons were performed and 54course questionnaires filled in by Parents were evaluated.
