Skolan som samarbetspartner : En kvantitativ studie om förÀldrars tankar kring skolan.
Alla har i varierad utstrÀckning egna erfarenheter av skolan, det medför att tankar och synsÀtt om den skiftar beroende pÄ vem som tillfrÄgas. Lyhördhet, kommunikation och engagemang Àr grundlÀggande förutsÀttningar för samarbetet mellan hem och skola som i sin tur har stor betydelse för barnets skolgÄng. Skolan har under lÄng tid prÀglats av olika maktförhÄllanden som bidrog till att pedagogens auktoritet var given. Idag betonas vikten av att skolan och vÄrdnadshavare gemensamt Àr ansvariga för elevens skolgÄng, dÀrmed blir det pedagogens personliga egenskaper som bygger auktoritet. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur förÀldrar till barn i Ärskurs 1-3 resonerar kring samarbetet mellan hemmet och skolan.

Aim: The aim of this study was to examine health professionalsŽ experiences of giving advice regarding sleep to parents of infants and to perform and evaluate an intervention in the form of introducing information about the sleep of infants.Method: The study was designed as an intervention study with a qualitative approach where data was collected from two focus groups in the form of interviews. The intervention consisted of the information material Sugen pÄ sömn. There were five participants whom three of them participated in the second interview. The interviews were processed by content analysis.Results: Health professionalsŽ experience of giving advice on sleep was summarized in three themes. The experiences of giving advice in interaction with parents, health professional themselves experienced the power to influence the parents with the advice they gave, while the parents' previous experience and knowledge impacted on how the advice came into practice.

Overweight and obesity in children is an extensive and accelerating problem in the western world. The risk factors for overweight are well- known and well-documented. Focus should lie in the prophylactic work in order to prevent overweight and obesity in preschool children. The aim of our study has been to highlight the role of the district nurse in her/his work to prevent overweight and obesity in preschool children. The study was carried out through studies as a literature review.

In the essay, the balance between being an educator and a mother of a child with autism is explored in respect to how the roles might influence the actions of a pre-school teacher. Writing is used as a method of reflection, it gives the teacher a chance to take a step back and view her practical experiences from a novel perspective; conclusions are recounted throughout the teachers narrative. The essay is based on the following questions; which problems might arise in the meeting with parents such as Adams where there is a suspicion of autism for the child? Which advantages/disadvantages might the teacher?s personal experience of autism have for the role as educator? How would the dual roles as educator and mother of an autistic child best be balanced in the future?The essay highlights special educational and parent perspectives on the matter of autism. Sambandet mellan andlighet och utbrÀndhet - en jÀmförande studie av beroendebehandlare i kriminal- och beroendevÄrd
Religiositet och andlighet tycks ha samband med fysisk och psykisk hÀlsa. I uppsatsen undersöks sambandet mellan andlighet och utbrÀndhet, tvÄ grupper behandlare jÀmförs och mÀtegenskaper hos skalorna Spirituality, Religiousness and Personal Beliefs Field-Test Instrument (WHOQOL-SRPB), Spiritual Involvement and Beliefs Scale (SIBS), Maslach Burnout Inventory ? Human Service Survey (MBI-HSS) och UtbrÀndhet i arbetet (UA) undersöks. Studiedeltagarna var 38 programledare för kriminalvÄrdens tolvstegsprogram och 39 behandlare i ett psykoterapinÀtverk inom beroendevÄrden (svarsfrekvens 61,5%). Andlighet korrelerade med personlig prestation (personal accomplishment; r = 0,315, p < 0,05).

Det Àr vi som ska lÀsa: En studie av skolelevers syn pÄ delaktighet i ett skolbiblioteks bestÄndsarbete.
The purpose of this study is to investigate how students in a Swedishjunior high school (grade 7-9) view their possibility to participate in thecollection management of their school library, and how the schoollibrary works to involve the students when purchasing media. The studyhas resulted in a model for easy and effective involvement of studentsin the collection development.To achieve this aim both quantitative and qualitative methods are used.A survey in three classes in the school, observations at the schoollibrary and a qualitative interview with the library assistant have beenperformed. The collection management at the school library isdescribed using the School Library Taxonomies developed by DavidLoertscher and two models for participation developed by Roger A Hartand Harry Shier. In the survey, the students are asked about their libraryand reading habits, their perception of their own participation in thecollection management of the library and their opinions of theimportance of student participation in the library.The results show that all students view the possibility of participation as something important, but not all of the students are willing to be active themselves. The proposed model for effective involvement of students in the library focuses on simplicity, voluntariness, distinct information and visible results..
Vad pÄverkar gymnasieelevers val av skola och inriktning?
There are some students who leave their studies. How can this be explained? Are present day high school students satisfied with their choice of school or the courses they have chosen? How did they decide what to study in upper secondary school? The main focus of this study is to examine the factors that influence the decision making of young people when it comes to choosing schools, their educational ambitions, and finally their focus on grades in Upper secondary school.   The study is based on the quantitative method, extracting its results through a poll conducted at an upper secondary school. The target audience of this poll was students that are completing their second year.  A statistical analysis of the results was carried out and the results were then presented by relevant diagrams.
Saving the young; Social workers' Perception of Juvenile Crime Prevention in Sweden
This study sought to explore the juvenile crime prevention in Sweden which for the purpose of this report is seen as efforts towards preventing youth criminality and all forms of anti social behaviour by young people.In the study, interviews with six social workers working directly or indirectly with young offenders were conducted. The interview results were analyzed and subjected to transnational comparison with the practice in Kenya. The report explores existing literature on situational crime prevention, restorative justice, the link between drugs and crime, attachment to parents, peers and involvement in convectional activities, gender differences in criminality, partnerships in crime prevention and the juvenile justice system. It uses control, strain, feminist and social disorganization theories to explain the causes of delinquency, analyzes the perceptions of social workers and discusses what works in juvenile crime prevention. The report identifies the causes of delinquency in Kenya and in Sweden as well as the prevention programs that social workers perceive as effective in addressing youth crime.

Barns delaktighet i anvÀndningen av media och IKT i förskolan
Today's children characterized and named according to Palfrey and Gasser for digital natives. Children are shaped by the use of media and ICT (Information- and Communication Technology) in a natural way. If their participation in environments where the media and ICT is common, it leads to other conditionsthan the previous generations. The purpose of this study was to understand and describe what teachers say and do to create involvement in children's use of media and ICT tools. The former media education development works carried out at preschools in PiteÄ municipality was the starting point and inspiration for the study. Study was based on a qualitative approach. Qualitative interviews and participant observations were carried out at one preschool in PiteÄ.
Global arbetstillfredsstÀllelse : Och dess samband med arbetsattityder, personlighetsegenskaper och psykosocial arbetsmiljö
Syftet med studien var att undersöka samband mellan global arbetstillfredsstÀllelse, personlighetsegenskaper, psykosociala arbetsmiljöaspekter och arbetsattityder pÄ arbetstagare i en verkstadsindustri. Dessutom var syftet att fÄ ökad kunskap om vad det Àr som bidrar till global arbetstillfredsstÀllelse. 74 deltagare besvarade frÄgeformulÀret innehÄllande 53 pÄstÄenden rörande global arbetstillfredsstÀllelse, personlighet, arbetsattityder och psykosociala arbetsmiljöaspekter. Resultatet visade samband mellan global arbetstillfredsstÀllelse, upplevelsen av den psykosociala arbetsmiljön och arbetsattityderna job involvement, organizational commitment och arbetsengagemang. Det fanns inget samband mellan personlighetsegenskaperna och global arbetstillfredsstÀllelse.
