Utvecklingssamtal : om vikten av förberedelse

Fokus i vÄrt examensarbete ligger pÄ utvecklingssamtal med förÀldrar och elever med annat modersmÄl Àn svenska. Syftet med arbetet har varit att undersöka hur lÀrare förbereder utvecklingssamtal. För att ta reda pÄ detta undersökte vi vissa förhÄllanden. Kallar lÀraren till möte eller inbjuder hon? BestÀmmer lÀraren plats eller fÄr förÀldrarna vara med och bestÀmma? Hur fÄr förÀldrarna veta syftet med mötet? Verkar förÀldern uppfattas som en jÀmlike/jÀmbördig till lÀraren? Vi delade ut enkÀter pÄ tvÄ skolor, en pÄ skola A som ligger i en av Stockholms förorter och en pÄ skola B som ligger i en större ort i Dalarna.

LÀsutveckling : En studie av elever i Är 4

Syftet med vÄr studie var att undersöka, analysera och diskutera lÀrarens, elevers och förÀldrars medvetenhet och engagemang om elevernas progression inom lÀsinlÀrningen. Analys och slutsatser byggde vi pÄ vÄra resultat och modern forskning om barns sprÄkinlÀrning. Detta gjorde vi med hjÀlp av en klass bestÄende av 1 lÀrare, 19 elever och deras förÀldrar. Vi anvÀnde oss av kartlÀggningsmetoderna God LÀsutveckling och Ordkedjor, enkÀter och intervju. Resultatet av vÄr studie visade att kartlÀggningsmetoden var betydelsefull, men metodvalet inte var det avgörande för lÀsutvecklingen hos eleverna.

The Trivial Pursuit: Den modererande effekten av kunskap och engagemang pÄ utvÀrderingen av produkter med triviala attribut.

Research has concluded that meaningless differentiation with trivial attributes sometimes can be a successful strategy. However, the effect varies with respect to certain aspects such as the price of the product and the decision context. How the characteristics of the consumer influence the effect of trivial attributes has until now been unknown. This thesis investigates how the consumer?s level of knowledge and personal involvement influence the effects of trivial attributes on product preferences and product attitudes.

The purpose of this study is to explore the relations between foster parents and their foster children, what kind of motivation there is behind their involvement in foster children, how they experience the commission and what good parenting mean to them. The study is including eight foster parents. They have experience of both long and short placement of foster children. The results show that all these foster families have at least one child that they have a good relationship with. It is important to know that those children either have spent many years in foster families or arrived to foster families when they were very young or as infants.

- Jag kunde prata med min son : En fokusgruppsstudie av förÀldrars deltagande i förÀldragrupp

The purpose of our study is to examine how parents experienced their participation and their involvement in a solution-focused parenting group. The parenting groups are a part of the social welfare system in a town in south of Sweden. The study is conducted as a qualitative study with focus groups. 11 parents have participated. The studyÂŽs theoretical framework considers solution focused theory, social constructionism and process within groups.In the study we found that participants generally perceived their participation as positive and that they received confirmation by meeting other parents in the same situation.

This is a qualitative study that explores the involvement of the relatives in the special housing based on the perspective of fourteen interviewees working in elderly care, at special housing.The purpose of this study is to analyze the nursing staff's view of the involvement of the relatives and the presence of care provision at special housing. The study is to find out what can constitute support or obstacles to the relatives.Three questions have been presented as the structural basis upon which the objective finds its conclusion. These questions try to explore and identify the forms of support that can help relatives in their involvement in elderly care. There are opportunities and obstacles for the involvement of the relatives in the care of the elderly as well as expectations of nursing staff on the role of the relatives in the care of the elderly which the following study focuses on.The research reflected in this study involves the care staff and their experiences and views on the relatives who have their older live permanently in residential care.In conclusion, the study identifies similar reasoning among respondents regarding to key aspects of the relatives at the special housing. They emphasizes that relatives are needed there and they are important resource for both the residents and the staff.The results indicate that there may be both opportunities and obstacles for the involvement of the relatives.

Ungdomars kÀnnedom om sina förÀldrars livsvÀrden

Do youths know what life values their parents have? Does this knowledge have a connection with the youth?s attachment to their parents? Do the youth?s life values differ from their parents? And could the youth?s life values affect how they estimate their parent?s life values? To answer these questions data from a survey were used. The respondents were 13-15 years old youths and their parents. The results show that youths do not know what life values their parents have, irrespective of if the attachment to them is good or bad. The results also show that the youth?s own life values to a high extend affect how they estimate their parent?s life values.

?Man blir specialist pÄ sitt barn" : En studie kring hur sex förÀldrar till barn i behov av sÀrskilt stöd upplevt kontakten med förskolan

The purpose of this study is to increase understanding of how parents of children in need of special support have experienced their interaction with the pre-school. Our three main areas of interest were to investigate how several parents experienced their contact with the pre-school, if there were any experienced factors that had played a part in the contact with the pre-school and if we could conclude anything about how the curriculum had been followed in these cases, with assistance of the parents? experiences.Our study is qualitative and we chose to interview six parents. We both participated in all of the interviews. The theoretical base of this study is rooted in the phenomenological theory and we also used the framework factor theory to complement our analysis.One of our conclusions was that the parents expressed so many different experiences that we decide not to try compare them in general.

NÀr livet förÀndras : En sjÀlvbiografistudie om förÀldrars upplevelse av att leva med ett barn med cancer.

Background: Cancer is the most common cause of death among children in Sweden. The disease and the treatment cause suffering among the children, which also affects their parents. Research has shown that parents of children with cancer have poorer health. It is the nurse?s responsebility to help, not only the child, but also the parents in their difficult situation.

Att bli och att fortsÀtta vara familjehem : en kvalitativ studie med familjehemsförÀldrar

The aim of this study is to describe and understand the reasons to why people choose to become foster parents. By using the theory of action we wanted to investigate their intentions rather than their motives. The questions we wanted to answer where: How do the foster parents describe their reasons for becoming a foster home? What reasons do they give fore keeping on being foster parents? How do they comprehend their task and the fulfilling of it? The study was performed by utilizing qualitative interviews with five foster parents, four women and one man. In the analysis we used the theory of action as a theoretical perspective.

Parents`experiences when their children are tended at hospitals

Background: In Sweden the healthcare has moved from the homes to the hospitals, as the system has developed. Parents were not allowed to visit their children when they were hospitalised in the past. It was noticed in the beginning of the 20th century that it might be harmful for the children to be left without parents at the hospital. Today it is considered a fact that the parents should stay with their hospitalised children and the healthcare is based on a family-centered care. Aim: The aim of this literature study was to elucidate parents experience when having hospitalised children.

With this research we aim to examine foster parents and social workers perceptions about the relationship between foster parents and the foster child?s biological parents and their perceptions about the support to the foster parents in the contact with the child?s biological parents. The research will provide a deeper understanding of the actors? perceptions and explain possible differences in their opinions. This study has a qualitative approach and contains eight semi-structured interviews with foster parents and social workers in a smaller town in the south of Sweden.
