This thesis investigates how the optical properties of paperboard influences printing with targets in ISO 12647-2. The targets for optical properties in ISO 12647-2 are defined for paperboard without optical brightening agents and fluorescent brightening agents wich makes it difficult to reach the targets when printing paperboard containing these agents.Seven different types of paperboard, some with and some without the agents, have been printed and instrumentally andvisually measured to see if there is any deviation from the standard targets and if it shows visually.The result shows that paperboard containing optical brightening agents and fluorescent brightening agents can print with targets in ISO 12647-2 but in many measurments the difference between the types of paperboard were to small to assess. The differences between the types of paperboard in the instrumental measurements did not fully correspond with the waythe Panel appraised them visually..

The problem presented in this report is that of finding a method to calculate the lift force from a single-element airfoil of arbitrary shape. A number of restrictions are used in order to simplify calculations while retaining reasonable accuracy. The problem is solved for the two-dimensional case only and no finite-wing effects are taken into account. Furthermore, inviscid and incompressible flow is assumed. The method used to solve the problem is the vortex Panel method, with vortex singularities distributed over simplified airfoil geometry.

The aim of this paper is to analyze aid, grouped into sectors, and its effect on growth in developing countries, to find out which type of aid has had the most positive effect on growth. We compiled a regression analysis based on Panel data over 81 developing countries from 1975-1999. In our first regression we considered and group countries by institutional quality, in the other we considered and group countries after regional differences. As a measure on institutional quality we used the KKZ-index. The principal aim of this paper was to find out what kind of aid is the most efficient in its influence on growth in LDC?s.

The objective of this thesis is to examine the capital structure of Swedish small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Accounting data from Swedish game developers, combined with the result from a survey, is used to examine their financial conditions and capital structure decisions. We find that non-debt tax shield, firm size, growth opportunities and age are, to various extents, the determinants of capital structure in the game industry, while effective tax rate and asset structure have marginal effects. Our study also implicates that most of the existing capital structure theories can explain SMEs leverage decisions to some extent; however, some adaptation is needed to fit these theories into the SME context. Additionally, we find the existence of a financial gap in the game industry which might need efforts from both demand side and supply side to eliminate..

Partiuppsättningsmodeller används mer och mer inom opinionsforskningen för att underlättaförståelsen och förklaringar av väljarbeteende. Tidigare modeller, som den populära partiidentifikationsmodellen,har visat sig alltmer oanvändbara i främst västeuropeisk politisk kontext, främstp.g.a. större väljarrörlighet och mer individualiserade röstningsmönster. Partiuppsättningsmodellenkan grovt delas in i två steg; 1) partiuppsättning, där en väljare valt ut ett eller flertal partierhon eller han kan tänka sig att rösta på och 2) partival, det slutgiltiga valet av ett parti som perdefinition ingått i partiuppsättningen.Uppsatsen lägger fokus på steg 1) och hur man kan mäta vilka partier en väljare väljer mellan.Jag utgår från datamaterial från 2010 års e-Panel, en kampanjPanel som genomförs inom ramenför Valforskningsprogrammet på Statsvetenskapliga institutionen vid Göteborgs Universitet.Tre olika mått på partiuppsättningar ? affektion, trolighet och övervägande ? jämförs med främstdeskriptiva medel.

Lättviktsskivor till möbelindustrin har varit ett omskrivet tema i olika branschtidningar den sista tiden.Detta examensarbete beskriver och undersöker en ny konstruktion av en lättviktsskiva i massivt trä.Lättviktsskivan är uppbyggd som en sandwichkonstruktion i tre skikt. Ytskikten består av 6 mm tjockalimfogar och kärnmaterialet av profilerade distanser. Materialet är furu och lättviktsskivan har endensitet på 320 kg/m3 vid 39 mm tjocklek. Utifrån kontakter med utvalda tillverkare och användare avskivmaterial, samt genom tester, har denna konstruktion granskas och förslag på förbättringar har tagitsfram. Den ursprungliga distansen som var sammansatt av två halvor med centrumhål har ersatts av enmassiv distans med en liknande profilering.

Denna uppsats undersöker eventuella samband mellan kommunens utbildningsresurser, kommun- och elevspecifika bakgrundsfaktorer och elevernas studieresultat genom att skatta en utökad pedagogisk produktionsfunktion. Syftet är att undersöka om resultaten från tidigare studier på främst skol- och elevnivå också får genomslagskraft på kommunnivån, under inverkan från såväl gamla som nya variabler, som inte skattats i en pedagogisk produktionsfunktion förut. En långsiktig och en tid- och kommunspecifik modell skattas med hjälp Paneldata över Sveriges kommuner under åren 2000 till 2006. Resultaten visar sig överensstämma med de från tidigare studier på lägre aggregerade nivåer. De flesta av de nytillkomna variablerna visar ingen statistisk signifikans och av de två modeller som skattas så talar mest för den som tar hänsyn till tid- och kommunspecifika faktorer..

The use of vision applications are growing and the demand for integration and connectivity with other industrial automation control devices is increasing. Some businesses that are using vision technology follow US Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) regulation concerning audit trail. This thesis investigates the possibility to use vision technology for counting objects, achieving connectivity and to follow FDAs audit trail regulation. A market survey has been used to select suitable hardware and software to be used in the design of an application that is able to count objects and that uses standard industrial network connection i.e. OPC data access and Microsoft?s .NET components over Ethernet.

In the west part of Trelleborg, on previous farmland a new society is under construction. It is situated right next to the ocean and close to the European freeway. Eight types of villages, all with different kind of architecture will be built in the area, one of them is Torns Village built by Skanska and Ikea. A concept called BoKlok. This specific village consists of twelve houses and five apartment buildings. They are all somewhat classical in their appearance with wooden Panel, but at the same time they have a modern touch.

This project report describes a supplement for character creation in a tabletop role-playing game ?Dragons and Demons." The purpose of this project is to improve the character creation for the players? trough the narrative elements such as character?s background story. The applied qualitative methods such as a test Panel and a questionnaire were conducted for the evaluation of theories used during character creation and to get feedback on the supplement?s creative value for the players. The aim of the questionnaire was to see how the method for the character creation differs from the regular way of making a character for a tabletop role-playing game and if this idea improves user experience during the tabletop role-playing game.The results of the evaluation are based on answers from novice and experienced players, and conclude that the additional background story creates an insight into the character's past, which makes it easier for novice players to get quick started with character creation.

This thesis has been performed at the system development company Verendus System AB, together with the home care company Basic Care Unit (BCU).The thesis has consisted of developing a web based informationsystem for BCU in which they can administrate their business. At the time of writing this thesis, BCU was using a windows-application to administrate their activities, which was both costly aswell as resulting in an unnecessary burden. The aim the thesis has thus been to create a platform-independent information system that simplifies and streamlines BCUs work by being user-friendly aswell as imposing some simplifying features.The students has been developing the system by the help of a work method they themselves developed. The method consisted of working in several iterations that each had several milestones. The method resulted in the students knowing easily when each iteration was finished or not.The thesis resulted in a working platform independent prototype.

Tylö AB is the leading manufactor of sauna cabins in Europe, but there is a lackof a sauna lightning produced by Tylö. The project of developing a new saunalightning series was assigned two students at the developmentengineeringprogram at Halmstad University. The main problem with lightning in the saunais the heat and security aspect. The selection fell on LED technology as thelightning source, thanks to its small measures and low heat emission.The work of constructing of a lightning armature which the capability of coolingdown the LED lightning was carried out during autumn ?06 and spring ?07.
