Syftet med föreliggande studie var att ta reda på vårdpersonal och närståendes upplevelser vad gäller vanlig palliativ vård och strukturerade vårdplaner så som LCP/ICP. Studien genomfördes som en systematisk litteraturstudie där underlaget inhämtades genom att med specifika sökord söka i Högskolan Dalarnas databas ELIN@ efter vetenskapliga artiklar. En artikel har även sökts från en annan referenslista där artikelnamnet använts som sökord. Vid sökningarna har sökorden använts var för sig och i kombination med varandra varvid 13 stycken artiklar valdes ut till resultatet. Resultatet visade att det fanns brister i den ordinarie palliativa vården vad det gäller kommunikation, symtomlindring och anhörigvård.

This master's thesis reports on our investigation of how the public librarian's professional identity is formed and what it is formed of. We have considered factors such as: education, competence and daily tasks. In order to fulfil this aim we have used a literature study on concepts such as competence, education, professional identity and profession. We have also carried out an empirical study where we have interviewed nine librarians on public libraries. The method of analysis is qualitative.

Background:Malnutrition is a nursing issue that causes both physical and psychological suffering of those who are affected. In order to achieve care that is safe and has a good quality, it must be based on the assessment and actions of the state. District nurses play a central role in this work. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the district nurses' work with identifying and addressing malnutrition in older people in nursing Home Care of the Community. Method: Six interviews with district nurses were conducted.

The theme of this thesis is the professional ethics of public librarians. Qualitative interviews have been conducted with fourteen public librarians, with the aim to investigate their thoughts·and opinions concerning professional ethics and their experiences of ethical dilemmas in professional situations.The result shows that the majority of the librarians often discuss problems concerning what's right or wrong but that the discussions are conducted on the basis of practical situations and not in terms of professional ethics. The majority have vague ideas of how the term professional ethics should be applied on the work of public librarians, though all the interviewees consider the professional ethical discussion to be important.We examine the librarians opinions and experiences of ethical dilemmas conceming four subject areas: the principle of the librarian as a neutral and nonrestricting information intermediary, the principle of equal treatment of all the library visitors, difficulties. concerning media selection and the problems based upon the librarians flexibility towards the intemal rules of the library. The librarians experienced the behaviour towards the visitors as the greatest problem.

Method: Qualitative Grounded theory method, categorizing secondary facts in order to get the complete picture. Results: The market for private health care will increase by a possibly new Government.

Researchers and practitioners have recognized the need for ?transforming? every policy of the company into a competitive advantage tool. Thus, both the pricing approach and the supply chain practices of the firm have emerged as an important determinant of success. In this study, however, we are not only interested in these two aspects, but also in a third one-namely cultural conflicts as an obstacle and challenge. The interaction of the tree factors is extensively presented against the backdrop of Skanska and four of their closest Polish suppliers.

Syftet var att beskriva hur sjuksköterskor inom palliativ hemsjukvård uppfattar ochlindrar andnöd hos cancerpatienter i sen palliativ fas.Metoden var kvalitativ med fenomenografis ansnats. Sex informanter från två palliativa hemsjukvårdsteam i Mellansverige valdes ut och intervjuades.Resultatet som representerar informanternas olika uppfattningar bestod av de fem kvalitativt skilda beskrivningskategorierna:Diskrepans i uppfattningen av andnöd som vanligt förekommande och svårt.Fysiska och psykosociala faktorer orsakar andnöd.Stödjande faktorer är betydelsefulla för sjuksköterksans arbete.Känsla av osäkerhet och otillräcklighet.Medicinska åtgärder prioriteras framför omvårdnadsåtgärder.Slutsats: Studien visade att andnöd var ett komplext symtom som kräver enn mångfacetterad kompetens. Det framgår också att läkarstöd, kollegialt stöd, manualer, handledning oc erfarenhet stärkte informanternas omvårdnadsarbete och ökade förutsättningarna för att patientens andnöd lindrades på ett adekvat sätt. En god tillgång till de olika stödfaktorerna ökade dessutom informanternas möjlighet att hantera den ansträngda situation som uppstod i patientens hem. .

Among those who graduate from the various schools of Social work in Sweden are a great majority women. At the same time men are sought after in the work field.  But not just to level up the equality between the sexes, but also to fill a gender specific niche to counter up a need for male role models. But a closer look at this need and the types of functions set to cater for it shows that male role models as a concept vary between contexts. In this study we examine the concepts and the practices of male role models in three different settings: a municipal social care center offering young boys male bonding activities; a non-profit organization warding young people from drug abuse and criminal behavior; and last, a long term residential home for young boys between the ages 13 and 19. Our research shows that the concept of the male role model vary between the organizations and less so within.

People with severe mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse are an especially vulnerable group in society as health care for those is shared between municipality and county council. There is an associated health need of this target group so the interaction of the social services and the psychiatric care is of great importance. However, there are shortcomings in this interaction with results in that people with dual diagnosis do not always receive adequate care. Diverse knowledge and explanatory models may create problems for the interaction as they include different ways to define, understand, explain and deal with a problem. The purpose of this study was to examine how the interaction between the social service addiction treatment and the psychiatric care is, concerning people with dual diagnosis, focusing on how their respective knowledge and explanatory models affect the interaction.

Syftet med denna studie är att belysa hur närstående till personer som vårdas palliativt upplever stödet de får från sjukvårdspersonal. Frågeställningarna i studien bygger på två centrala frågor. Vilket stöd upplever närstående att de får och hur upplevde närstående detta stöd? Den metod som har använts i detta arbete är litteraturstudie. Tio vetenskapliga artiklar användes som gav svar på frågeställningarna.

The purpose of this study was to examine parenthood of young mothers from a professional point of view. The professionals work in a medium-sized city in Sweden and they represent different professions to give a broad perspective of the subject. The questions in the study were: What were the advantages of being a young mother of today and were there any problems with being a young mother, from the professionals perspective? What role did young mothers network and family play, from a professional point of view? From a professional point of view, how well did society handle young parenthood? How do the professionals handle the young mothers they met? Studies with reference to professionals' thoughts and expectations of young mothers were few, therefore the professionals were given a central position in this study. A qualitative method was chosen, for this study.

The purpose of my study was to examine a competence-development in care of older people in which some of the personnel have been ?spjutspetsar?. More specifically my aim was to investigate how the personnel managed to supervise others in the organization. My main research questions were: How do the care-managers and the care-workers persecute their functions as ?spjutspetsar?? What form has the internal meeting between the competence-development and the organization ideology taken? What possibilities and obstacles have the care-managers and care-workers been confronted? In my study my research method is based on eight qualitative interviews.

 Aim. To describe patients who have got a recommendation by a telenurse to visit the emergency department and how many of these patients could have received care in the primary health care instead. Further on, the aim was to describe if there are patients not following the recommendations.Methods. Quantitative, descriptive study, with an examination of medical records of the patients, which the telenurses recommended to visit the emergency department, during one week. Assessments whether the patient could seek medical care at the primary health care was made, firstly based on the telenurses documentation and secondly on both the telenurses and the emergency department´s documentation.Results.

Background: Isolation care may be necessary when a patient is carrying infection or is being inflicted with disease that causes deficit immune system. Being isolated means that the patient is in a confined space and may stay only there. Even in ancient times, people discovered the importance of isolating people carrying an infection from the rest of society. According to the Infectious Diseases Act, patients should be isolated in order to reduce the spread of infection both from the patient to the surroundings as well as the opposite. Isolation care can be psychologically stressful for some patients.

Aim. The aim of the study is to highlight Dutch nurses? opinions about assisted death. Background. Since 2002 it has been legally justified for physicians to assist a patients? death in the Netherlands.
