The aim of this study was to describe the meaning of individual care according to Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment programs (NIDCAP) to the early born child. The care around the early born child has shown a big importance. NIDCAP incorporates many care aspects that give structure for an individual tailored care. A fast care planning within three days and night after the birth according to NIDCAP has a positive effect for the cognitive development. The early child has showed that the surroundings environment has an important role for their development.

This two years master's thesis examines the experience of children who read to a dog. The theoretical framework is inspired by sociocultural theory developed by Roger Säljö and the concept carnival inspired by Mikhail Bakhtin. The sociocultural theory has been chosen because it emphasizes the role of practice, instruments and communication in learning and the concept carnival has been chosen to analyze the experience of reading to a dog.The method used is qualitative interview and observation. A total of eight interviews and two observations when children read to a dog have been collected. One interview is with a teacher and seven interviews are with the children (six children participated and one child was interviewed twice).

Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva kvinnors upplevelse av sin sexualitet efter genomgången cystektomi med urostomi. Tjugotre vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i tre kategorier: att uppleva att information pre/postoperativt är betydelsefull för den sexuella anpassningen, att känna smärta, vara torr och trång i vagina vid samlag, att på grund av låg självkänsla och förändrad kroppsuppfattning inte känna sig sexuellt attraktiv. Resultatet visade tydligt att bristen på information angående sexualitet upplevdes negativ för de opererade kvinnorna då konsekvenserna gällde deras sexualitet. Resultatet visade även att de flesta kvinnorna upplevde någon form av smärta som i vissa fall även kunde försvinna med tiden.

The thesis mission is to investigate whether the swiveling laser that Vectura (former Vägverket Konsult) has in use to measure the road areas and straddle measuring can be used to detect differences in the reflective road markings function. This is to increase use of the swiveling laser and get rid of the manual measurements performed today.Currently, the measurement of road markings reflective function is performed with both mobile and handheld measuring instruments. The purpose of this thesis is to develop better methods for determination of road markings? reflective function, in order to facilitate the description and suggestions for improvements of the maintenance of road markings reflective function.The questions that the thesis has been to start with are:Can the swiveling laser detect differences in longitudinal and transverse road markings reflective function?The accuracy of measurement has been sweeping the laser over the reference instrument (LTL-2000)Is it necessary with a conversion factor for swiveling laser data against the reference instrument data?To answer the question 2 and 3, there has been a field work in Värnamo where a road stretch with longitudinal road markings and zebra crossing (transverse road markings) has been investigated with a swiveling laser and LTL-2000.The formulas and calculations contained in the thesis are drawn from scientific reports that are produced by VTI in Linköping. The same formula that was used to calculate the optical measurement data was also used for the swiveling laser data.

The aim of this study was to study how Swedish youth national football players handle stressful events in sports. A longitudinal questionnaire diary was constructed from a revised version of Nicholls and Polmans (2007) design with the intention of recording in-sport and psychosocial stress, choice of coping strategy and coping effectiveness. The participants were 59 Swedish youth national football players born 1992 observed during a four day national training camp held by the Swedish Football Association. Data were drawn from a quantifying analyzing method. The main result showed that the most common stressors reported were, physical injury or pain, experiencing teammates or opponents to perform better and feeling generally insecure during training camp.

Fibromyalgi är en sjukdom som karaktäriseras av smärta, trötthet och stelhet och sjukdomen är vanligare hos kvinnor än hos män. Syftet med litteraturöversikten var att beskriva personers upplevelse av smärta vid fibromyalgi. KASAM användes som teoretisk förankring. En kvalitativ ansats valdes och sammanlagt har 13 vetenskapliga artiklar sammanställts till ett resultat. Artiklarna har kvalitetsgranskats enligt Hälsohögskolans granskningsprotokoll, med fokus på etiska överväganden.

Bakgrund: Borderline personlighetsstörning karaktäriseras av stark impulsivitet, långvariga känslor av tomhet, självskadebeteende och destruktiva relationer. Suicidrisken uppskattas till 8-10%. Orsaken till borderline personlighetsstörning är ej helt känd men studier har visat att barndomstrauma och negativa händelser i livet kan vara en bidragande faktor till insjuknade. Majoriteten, 75%, av de som utvecklar borderline personlighetsstörning är kvinnor. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser av att leva med borderline personlighetsstörning. Metod: En litteraturstudie genomfördes där kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar granskades.

Bakgrund: Den goda vården syftar till att lindra mänskligt lidande, såsom smärta. Detta är inte alltid uppnått inom den slutna sjukvården idag, och patientens smärta blir inte lindrad. Musik kan användas som en hälsointervention inom sjukvården och har visats ha en rad positiv inverkan på patienten. Syfte: Beskriva vad musiken som en individanpassad omvårdnadshandling har för verkan på patientens smärttillstånd vid en akut smärta.Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på 14 utvalda kvantitativa studier om musikens verkan på ett akut smärttillstånd. Resultat: Resultatet visar på att musik som en individanpassad omvårdnadshandling kan lindra patientens smärttillstånd.

Sweden's drinking water quality is considered to be high partly due to a high quality of the raw water and a well developed sewage infrastructure. Despite this, there is water contamination that could be prevented by installation of a sophisticated early warning system. Some of the major players in the production of drinking water have already invested in different types of early warning systems to ensure drinking water of high quality. There are various forms of early warning systems where automatic monitoring of E. Coli is an interesting alternative.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur kvinnor med endometrios upplever att sjukdomen påverkar deras liv och livskvalitet. Metoden var en litteraturstudie med deskriptiv design. Artikelsökningen skedde i databaserna Cinahl, PubMed och PsycINFO samt genom manuell sökning vilket resulterade i 13 vetenskapliga artiklar som uppfyllde studiens inklusionskriterier. Resultatet visar att endometrios kan ha negativ påverkan på många delar av livet och därmed också kvinnans livskvalitet. Smärta till följd av endometrios har visat sig vara en stor del av problematiken som påverkar både vardag, arbetsliv och socialt liv på ett negativt sätt.

The main purpose of this essay is on one hand to try to find and explain the formula of success of the rock group Status Quo, and on the other to elucidate and explain the foundation and essence in the music made by Status Quo, but also to study how, if and why the foundation and essence have changed over the years. The method of investigation is partly based on a musical analysis of three albums from three different periods: Hello! (1973), Ain´t Complaining (1988) and Heavy Traffic (2002), and partly on a sociological study of the group?s career between 1962 and today, 2005.The first part of the essay concerns the period between 1962-1973 with an analysis of the album Hello!; the second part concerns the period 1974-1988 and the album Ain´t Complaining; finally, the third part concerns the years between 1989-2002 with an intensified analysis of the album Heavy Traffic. In the forth part of the essay I discuss the career of Status Quo from a sociological point of view.I run to the conclusion that the essence of Status Quo is the boogie-woogie comp on Fender guitar by Rick Parfitt, the riff on Francis Rossis´ Fender guitar in combination with the base, the piano and the drums. This has been the essence through all the years, even though it was more difficult to apprehend it during the 1980s.

Av Sveriges befolkning har cirka 40-50 procent någon gång upplevt långvarig smärta. För hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal kan den långvariga smärtan vara utmanande då fokusering inte bara kan ske mot smärtan utan måste inkludera hela den komplexitet som uppstår med flera olika faktorer. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva individens upplevelse av att leva med långvariga smärta. Metoden som användes var litteraturstudie där resultatet baseras på sju kvalitativa artiklar och en kvantitativ artikel. Ur dessa framkom tre kategorier: Känslomässiga förändringar, Förändrad vardag och Omgivningens bemötande.

Barns smärta är en vanlig orsak till kontakt med sjukvården. I omvårdnadsarbetet ska barnets behov och smärtsignaler tolkas och bemötas så att relevanta omvårdnadsinsatser sätts in. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att utifrån barns beskrivningar belysa omvårdnad som lindrar barns smärta. Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt där åtta kvalitativa, två kvantitativa där en av artiklarna innehåller en mixad metod av kvalitativ och kvantitativ design. vetenskapliga artiklar utgjorde underlaget för resultatet.

Financial bubbles are characterized by a large increase in the economic growth on the market as a whole or in specific industries. The change gives rise to an increase in the capital needed to finance this growth. Companies typically have a choice between equity and debt capital to finance its business and the mix of these types of capital is often referred to as the company?s capital structure. There has been a lot of research done in the field of financial bubbles and ofcapital structure, as of yet no studies seem to address these two areas in combination.The aim of this study is to examine if financial bubbles affect a company?s capital structure and through this also examine if the supposed changes in capital structure can be generalized.The study comprise of two identical time-series which examines the changes in leverage and the choice of financing during the Swedish real estate bubble in the early nineties and the IT-crash at the end of the 2000th century.
