Syftet var att beskriva erfarenheter från föräldrar med långvarig smärta av hur deras delaktighet i aktiviteter med barnen påverkas. En kvalitativ metod valdes och totalt åtta kvinnor mellan 37-52 år intervjuades. Den kvalitativa innehållsanalysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: ?Barnen får ta ansvar för aktiviteter?,? Deltar utifrån egna förutsättningar?, ?Behov av stöd från andra personer? och ?Behov av att planera aktiviteter?. Resultatet visar att barnen får ta ett stort ansvar för egna aktiviteter och för hushållsaktiviteter.

The aim of this study was to investigate nurse?s experience of working from the philosophy of palliative care in end of life at home. The study had a qualitative design. Semi-structured interviews were performed with nine nurses working in advanced palliative home care. The analysis of the material revealed four categories and two subcategories.

How can you do a right measurement of culture as well as with other social sectors and with what can culture contribute when it comes to a town´s development? We found out that in Linköping the regional federation Ostsam recently (2005) started mapping the region's creative centers in order to look into the spreading of the culture in the county, and then use the uniqueness of the culture as an advantage in society- planning contexts. The reason was that both municipal - and State directions detected that the culture has a broader importance when it comes to building up society and infrastructure than earlier considered. This is called Cultural planning and is the foundation- method that Östsam used when working with their new projekt The creative sector. The outcome of the Östsam study resulted in an exciting study basis to work further on with and to examine through own demarcations and directions.This research manages the matter of the creative sector as an extension to the cultural sector.

The banking industry is a fundamental part of the economy in Sweden. Despite its importance, the competition and the concentration level within the Swedish banking sector is relatively unexplored. This paper aims to examine the development of the concentration level in the Swedish banking sector during a period of ten years, 2003 to 2013. The examined banks in the study are the four largest banks in Sweden; Handelsbanken, Nordea, SEB and Swedbank, and four selected niche banks, ICA banken, Ikano Bank, Länförsäkringar Bank and Skandiabanken. In order to examine the development in percentage change, there are six selected variables; loans, deposits and borrowings (both public and households), net interest income and return on equity, which are observed during a period of ten years.

This thesis deals with query formulation in full text retrieval. The variables studied were query expansion and query structur[INS: e :INS , and the aim of the thesis is to study their co-effects on retrieval performance in a probabilistic system. The expansion was made with synonyms, and the structure by expressing facets and phrases. The study was performed using QPA, Query Performance Analyzer, which includes InQuery retrieval system and a sub-collection of TREC documents with its topics. The measurement used was precision at 11 DCV points.

This master thesis includes a description of how a number of sensors are put together in a sensor platform. It also gives a description of how localization and mapping has been performed with data collected from the sensor platform. Localization is a prerequisite for most of the tasks that can be requested from an autonomous mobile robot. In many situations the GPS signal is not available and hence an additional localization system is required. One approach is to apply localization based on landmarks extracted from the robots surrounding.

Bakgrund: Underbehandlad smärta hos barn har länge varit ett problem inom pediatriken och inte minst postoperativ smärta. Trots att kunskapen om barn och smärta har ökat lider fortfarande onödigt många barn av postoperativ smärta. Barn upplever smärta som något obehagligt och det är ofta förknippat med rädsla. Hur barn hanterar smärta påverkar deras emotionella tillstånd och välbefinnande flera dagar efter en operation. Syfte: Att belysa barns sätt att hantera postoperativ smärta.

Bakgrund: Vår medellivslängd ökar, vi blir allt äldre. I hemsjukvården möter sjuksköterskan äldre personer som lever med smärta. Smärta som utgår från muskler, skelett och leder och som hindrar den äldre från att leva ett bra liv. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva vilka omvårdnadsåtgärder sjuksköterskan i hemsjukvården kan göra för att lindra smärta. Metod: Som metod användes en litteraturöversikt som baseras på fem kvalitativa och tre kvantitativa vetenskapliga artiklar.

Tonsillektomi är en av de vanligast utförda operationerna på barn i världen och kan innebära en lång och smärtsam återhämtning. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa vilka upplevelser som framkom under återhämtningen efter tonsillektomi på barn. Metoden var en litteraturstudie där tolv vetenskapliga studier ingick. Resultatet visade att halssmärta var den dominerande upplevelsen och varade i dagar till veckor. Att svälja gjorde smärtan värre.

Today?s wind power plants are only compensated for their reactive power consumption at no-load. As the wind power plants grow bigger the amount of reactive power they need also increases. This is no longer a problem that can be ignored, especially as the net owners are beginning to charge the reactive power they transport.In this thesis a couple of different methods of compensation and their prices will be discussed and evaluated. Problems, such as self-excitation, that can occur if one fully compensates the wind power plant will also be brought to surface.

This report is about helping Q-Med AB in Uppsala to start its implementation of uncertainty of measurements analyses in their manufacturing department. Prior to this, the company relied solely on personal experience or did not take this uncertainty into consideration at all during different kind of measurements, which means that some of the processes that the company previously believed were within specified acceptance limits, will actually fail when considering these sources of uncertainties.Q-Med AB needed some sort of instruction to help the company, in a systematic way, to investigate different types of disorders that are affecting all kinds of measurements. This instruction includes a short summary about measurements and uncertainty of measurements in general and a detailed procedure about how these uncertainties are going to be handled in their daily work.The goal was to be able to use this instruction to systematically locate, eliminate (when possible) and analyze all kinds of disorders when measuring. Q-Med is using a lot of different types of instruments when measuring different types of quantities, including temperature, mass, pressure and density. This instruction will hereafter be used for every instrument, regardless of quantity and type of instrument.The instruction is tested through 4 different kinds of measurements, for mass, temperature and humidity.

Många av de verktyg som används för mätning och styrning av prestationer i offentliga organisationer är hämtade från privat verksamhet. Dock har offentliga organisationer ofta andra typer av mål och styrning än privata företag, vilket försvårar måluppföljningen. Denna uppsats syftar till att få en förståelse av Trafikverkets användning av prestationsmätning samt tillämpning av mål- och resultatstyrning. Vidare kan studien ge ett bidrag till ökad kännedom kring hur mätning och styrning av prestationer sker inom en statlig organisation. I en fallstudie som innefattar intervjuer och dokumentgranskning studeras hur mätning och styrning av mål fungerar i Trafikverkets största investeringsverksamhet.

The aim of the study is to examine factors influencing students? feelings of pleasure or pain associated with school mathematics. Own experience of students? frustration about mathematics and concern about students not reaching desired goals is the driving force in this study. It contributes with knowledge from the students' perspective.

Background: Fibromyalgia is a disease wich involve cronic pain and fatigue. The disease has appeared for a long time, but it has resently become possible to diagnose. It is still unclear what cause the disease, and the treatment of it is therefore still diffuse. The lack of knowledge leads to a lot of discussions and the diagnosis is questioned. Purpose: To study how patients with fibromyalgia experineces the attitudes from staff in hospitals and health centers.

Kronisk smärta är vanligt förekommande bland befolkningen och kan ge stor påverkan på det dagliga livet. Personer med kronisk smärta blir ofta överkänsliga i det centrala nervsystemet (central sensitisering). Läkemedlet capsaicin är potent för att lindra smärta och lugna ett överretat nervsystem. Syfte: Att utvärdera effekten av capsaicinkräm på självskattad smärta och aktivitetsnivå hos patienter med långvarig, benign smärta från rörelseapparaten. Metod: Av 40 tillfrågade personer valde 13 att delta.
