Due to historically low prices for electricity in Sweden, many small-scale hydropowerplants were closed down. A small-scale power plant has more or less the samemaintenance costs as larger plants, but doesn?t generate as much income. Today?sincreasing price for electricity in combination with a desire for renewable energysources makes small-scale hydropower interesting again.

This essay in historical archaeology deals with cultural-historical values of buildings and inthis case the old train- and ferrystation in Helsingborg. The building has from the day of itsopening in 1898 been exposed to threats of demolition since its original purpose was as atemporary building with intension of being replaced within a couple of years. After havingseen two World Wars, eventhough Sweden never participated, and the ferrytraffic with its upsand downs the station was an important part of Helsingborg. All the ferrytraffic over the straitto Denmark was handeled by the old train- and ferrystation untill 1955, when a competativeferrycompany was built close to the old station. After a hundred years of service the oldstation was closed down when a new station was built i Helsingborg in 1991 with theintension of gathering all travelers in one building.

This bachelor thesis includes two different manuals and design of an interface box between a test object and a general test station (computer) with ARINC429 communication.There are three different purposes with this project:The first is to setup a general test station with ARINC429 communication using a communications card from DDC (DD-42916i3-300) and software from Ampol Technologies (dataSIMS).The second is to design a new interface between the test computer and the test object. As well as implementing two components in the equipment.The third is to write two separate manuals to guide the users of this equipment. There are two different kinds of users of this equipment, technicians and system engineers. Technicians use the equipment to test and repair flight components. System engineers will implement new components in the equipment.The result of this project is a working test station with a new interface and two manuals..

Instrumentets placering blir därför en kompromiss mellan tillgång till referensobjekt och tillgång till den plats där inmätning respektive utsättning skall ske. Denna kompromiss ger upphov till skiftande geometriska konfigurationer hos referensobjekten, vilka påverkar mätresultatet.Studiens syfte är att undersöka om simuleringar av fria stationsuppställningar i Svensk Byggnadsgeodesis (SBG:s) programvara Geo verifieras av fältmätningar och efterföljande beräkningar av osäkerhetsparametrar orsakade av konfiguration och mätta längder och riktningar.

?Halmstads Fastighets AB? is a local real estate company investing in sustainable development. One problem though is that the domestic waste, particularly the source separation, at the three resident blocks for students? isn´t working very well. This creates inconveniences for people and environment as well as decreasing the impression on the estates.This project has had the ambition to improve the domestic waste and increase the amount of source separation at HFAB´s student hostels.

Thecollection discussed is located at the Gothenburg Maritime Museum and it has beenconsidered to move the collection to a storage where the other collections of the museum iskept. No decisions are taken but this is a suggestion of how it could be done. The collectionwhich is studied contains of different kinds of objects like for example paintings, work onpaper and photographs. The whole moving project is looked into and all the different parts areanalyzed.

In this project a washing station has been constructed for Albany International AB. At present, there is no existing system to clean the dirty pipes that are coming back to the company.The work followed the product development process, and it started with the requirements list. This was followed by brainstorming, evaluation and completion.The result was a concept for de present time and one concept for the future.The present concept is intended to be built immediately. This is an adjustable bench with sliding bearings to facilitate the work. The actual cleaning is done with a high pressure washer that uses hot water.

SecRePac is a household appliance that simplifies sorting of packaging such as milk, juice and yogurt containers. By shredding the packages SecRePac reduces its volume uptake both in the home and at the recycling station. This leads to minimization of both transports to the recycling stations and truck transport for emptying the containers at the recycling station.The greenhouse effect deteriorates and becomes worse and worse leading to extreme climate changes and natural disasters such as floods as an example. Carbon dioxide emissions are the major reason for this and at least 30 percent of all these emissions come directly from transports. In the EU carbon emissions has decreased in the past few years.

The study was to result in an improved assembly station with lower risk of work- related injuries. Tillgänglighet beror mycket på vilka hinder och barriärer det finns längs de stråk man ska förflyttas längs, men utgångspunkten för tillgänglighet kommer alltid att handla om avstånd eftersom det sker förflyttningar. Behovet av tillgänglighet är som störst för äldre och personer med funktionshinder och därför är det viktigt att man tänker på dessa grupper i första hand när man arbetar med att förbättra tillgängligheten.

A large number of rivers in northern Sweden have hydropower developments that cause negative effects on both up- and downstream migrations of anadromous species like Atlantic salmon. So far, most attention has focused on the hindrances of adult fish during their upstream spawning migration. However, since turbines in power stations cause losses on downstream passing fish, the focus on negative effects on smolts has increased. The aim of this study was to compare three different causes of losses of salmon smolts passing downstream through a power station area in the flow-controlled River Åbyälven in northern Sweden.A total of 61 wild salmon smolts were caught and radio-tagged in the River Åbyälven during their downstream migration in June 2009. The salmon smolts were released at three locations, 1.1 km upstream from the power station, in the turbine intake and in the upper part of a fishway, acting both for up- and downstream fish passage.

Solna kommun som ligger relativt centralt i Stockholm och med sina nästan 60000 invånare samt 65000 arbetsplatser har en stor in- och utpendling dagligen vilket innebär att Solna station är en viktig knutpunkt för många pendlare. Denna rapport tar upp Solna pendeltågsstations nuvarande lokalisering med hänsyn till olika planindikatorer samt ger förslag på var en framtida station kan placeras samt var expansion kan vara lämpliga med hänsyn till dessa indikatorer. Syftet är att tillgängligheten för de som använder stationen ska bli så bra som möjligt. Planindikatorerna som analyseras är baserade på avstånd i både tid och längd samt arbets- och befolkningsstatistik. Verktygen som används för att analysera tillgängligheten är datorbaserade och ger på så vis möjligheter till att få mer exakta värden än med det traditionella sättet att arbeta med enbart radier för att mäta tillgängligheten till olika målpunkter.
