This essay will examine the visitors' view of destination South Djurgården and the impact that tourism provides in them. South Djurgården belongs to Stockholm where the boundary between the southern and northern Djurgården is Djurgårdsbrunnsviken and Djurgårdsbrunnskanalen. The reason we chose South Djurgården is because the biggest and famous attractions of Stockholm are there. In this essay we have used a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. We conducted the survey through questionnaires and deep interviews.

This study was conducted by using a qualitative textual analysis on UNICEF Sweden?s website with the purpose of problematizing the role of UNICEF Sweden in today?s globalised society. This was done in the context of how organisations of civil society have gained influence. Following questions were answered: How does UNICEF Sweden legitimise its operation? Which strategies does UNICEF Sweden use to encourage involvement and donations?The study shows how UNICEF Sweden legitimises its work by promoting a unique influence, their unique methods of work and by showing how the organisation helps the most disadvantaged children.

Ericsson?s factory in Kumla, Modules Kumla, became a hub for radio modules and micro base stations, which enables mobile communication through radio base stations, in 2004. Because of this the factory focuses more on the logistics operations. This has led to a need to be able to plan the capacity for the materials handling system. This master thesis has therefore been performed at Modules Kumla to develop a capacity calculation model for the material handling flow during the autumn of 2005.The work has contained a mapping of the material handling flow regarding to which activities was performed and how much time they consumed.

The construction industry is currently receiving much criticism for inefficiency and slow development while demands for reduced built in moisture and efficiency increases. This report examines whether the use of field factories can meet these requirements and what factors that will be critical for future use of field factories. Industrialized construction with field factory is compared with traditional loose timber construction and industrial construction in the fields of execution, logistics and working environment. The aim of this report is to provide a basis for field factories current and future use and development. To achieve the aim of the report, people with experience in the use of the various methods was interviewed and literature studies in the various fields done.

Today the common people begin to understand the impact of a package. Many choose brand or product with great emphasis on how the outside looks, both in a good and a bad way.The company Gotlands Grafiska gave me the task to create a small basic selection of packages. The target group that the project was based on was craftsmen in the Gotland region. Based on analysis of the market and consumers to develop a range of packages covering a wide range of products sold on the island.During the project a clear theme was the desire to highlight a product and create some sort of exclusivity. It was important to understand how consumers and businesses think about packaging and its function.The result was five different packages, which together cover much of the need for the Gotland crafts and souvenir market.

Vida Skog is supplying the whole Vida Ltd?s mills with wood raw material. This study aims to evaluate Vida Skog?s contractors and the relatively new contractorportal and to identify measures that are important for the contractors? skills. The purpose with the portal is to facilitate co-operation between contractors and buyers by streamlining the logistics of the whole wood supply process.The study was conducted in the form of a questionnaire.Most of the respondents were positive to the portal.

Effektiv logistik är ofta nyckeln bakom framgångsrika företag. Då logistik är ett väldigt komplext problemområde har det blivit nödvändigt att utveckla intelligenta system som hjälpmedel vid beslutsfattande. Klassificeringssystem av artiklar är ett sådant system, vilket ska underlätta att flytta fokus från den enskilda artikeln till artiklar som kräver extra mycket uppmärksamhet.En stor del forskning har utförts inom klassificeringsområdet de senaste åren. Denna har dock varit av ren matematisk karaktär där olika lösningar presenterats vilka i grund och botten behandlat skapande av en artikelrangordning utifrån en samling parametrar. Hur parametrarna väljs och vilka implikationer valet av matematisk modell får är ännu obehandlat ur ett logistiskt perspektiv.

Detta examensarbete har utförts på högskoleingenjörsprogrammet för Byggteknik och Design vid Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan i samarbete med Svensk Bygglogistik AB. Arbetet diskuterar betydelsen av byggnadslogistik i ett infrastrukturprojekt för att uppnå en högre utnyttjandegrad för grävmaskiner med stöd av logistiksamordningsverktyg.Sammanlagt har 2150 mätningar utförts under två veckors tid för att kartlägga utnyttjandegraden för en bandgrävare (EC250CL) och en hjulgrävare (Atlas 1505M) på ett referensprojekt i Stockholmsregionen. Resultatet har sammanställts separat för de olika resurserna genom att redovisa och analysera andelen outnyttjad tid och de bakomliggande orsakerna till den outnyttjade tiden.Resultatet visar att utnyttjandegraden för bandgrävaren är 53 % och 59 % för hjulgrävaren vilket tyder på att ett förbättringsutrymme finns.Avslutningsvis diskuteras rekommendationer för hur användning av logistiksamordningsverktyg kan utökas inom anläggningssidan..

Uppsatsen behandlar mindre företags införande och användande av elektronisk handel. Utifrån teorier för elektronisk handel har vi sammanställt riktlinjer som tillsammans utgör ett nytt teoretiskt ramverk. Under författandet av uppsatsen har ramverket kontrollerats och delvis förfinats utifrån vår empiriska studie och genomförda analys. Ramverket innefattar mindre företags införande och användande av elektronisk handel. Uppsatsen framhäver riktlinjer angående elektronisk handel som mindre företag bör ta hänsyn till.

The purpose of the literature study was to describe older people´s difficulties and attitudes to take several drugs. Literature has been sought in two large databases and included literature is selected, quality assessed and analyzed, based on the study purpose and questions. The authors conducted a descriptive literature review of qualitative and quantitative articles. Difficulties to access different types of pharmaceutical packaging, or to remember when to take their medicines are difficulties the elderly encounter. Cultural and socioeconomic differences become apparent.

I en alltmer turbulent och ombytlig värld går det inte att leda dagens kundstyrda produktion med traditionellt ledarskap. Dagens ledare påverkas av olika faktorer som måste beaktas för att kunna styra ett framgångsrikt företag. Uppsatsens syfte är att utvärdera och analysera UAE-logistics ledarskap genom att undersöka deras internkommunikation utifrån en teoretisk grund. Metoden som används i undersökningen är en gap-analys som används för att se om det råder samstämmighet mellan gruppledarna och de anställda.I slutsatsen besvaras problemfrågan: Vilka faktorer måste den moderna ledaren på tjänsteföretag beakta i sitt ledarskap för att förbli konkurrenskraftig? En faktor som måste beaktas är att den interna kommunikationen måste fungera bra för att motivera, engagera och involvera anställda.

Stora Enso Packaging AB (SEPack) är en av Sveriges fyra stora wellpapptillverkare och har cirka 25 procent av den svenska marknaden. I dagsläget är SEPack den enda av de fyra som inte har en generell lösning för elektronisk handel gentemot sina kunder. Representanter för värdföretaget efterfrågade underlag inför beslut om ett eventuellt införande av en e-handelslösning för företaget. För att hamna rätt med investeringen ville SEPack klargöra vilken information och vilka funktioner inom ramen för en e-handelslösning som innebar mest nytta för wellpappköpare. Man ville också klargöra vilken information och vilka funktioner som skulle vara mest intressanta ur värdföretagets perspektiv.Undersökningen delades upp i tre steg.

In the expansion rate of the national as well as the international market, the importance of trademark has been given a central matter. The definition of what can be considered a trademark has been widened. Today?s trademark law defines a trademark as something that can be graphically reproduced. Trademarks can there for contain names, words, numbers, letters or the shape of the goods itself or the packaging.

Växjö is a medium-sized town situated in the centre of the county Småland in Sweden with a good infrastructure and logistics and with a university that encourages cooperation with private and public companies. It is in this town that our case study of Småland Airport will take place. The aim of this study is to examine in which way the program of Library and Information Science at the Linnaeus University in Växjö offers knowledge that can be relevant for the staff at the airport in Växjö - Småland Airport. Using Wilsons model as our theoretical framework we examine how these two align with each other and by using a matrix that we ourselves elaborated in our analysis, we provide a clear picture of how the comparability two places comparability is represented. The result shows that there are compatible aspects to the Småland Aiports needs and what the program of Library and Information Science has to offer.

Inventory management is a key part of a company?s logistics function and is of great importance to companies as it is a substantial cost. It is of high importance for a company to make sure that the warehouse is efficient as possible. In this thesis two factors that hurt a warehouse?s efficiency are introduced; inventory inaccuracies and lead-time variations.This thesis has been dedicated to analyze how inventory inaccuracies and lead-time variations arise and how to eliminate them.To be able to solve this question we have used a qualitative research method.
