The purpose of this paper is to examine how events can be successful and stay competitive.Festivals are a big part of the event world and it can be difficult to understand why certainfestivals are successful and others not. In this paper we have conducted a comparison betweentwo major festivals in Stockholm. Both of them reached success, but nevertheless one of themfailed, while the other one is still successful. With this comparison, it appeared that there aremany aspects that help a festival to reach success but also factors that can make a festival afailure. To conduct this study, a number of interviews have been carried through; these havelater been put in relation to different theories about festivals.

A1260SammanfattningDenna uppsats behandlar hanteringen av en kunskapsintensiv process som har outsourcats. Studien är baserad på en fallstudie av General Motors (GM) Nordics outsourcing av sin kundtjänst till företaget EDS. Frågan som ställs är vad som händer med kunskapen inom processen och hur båda parter uppfattar denna kunskapshantering.Ambitionen med uppsatsen har varit att kartlägga kunskapsflödet från kunden till de ansvariga personerna på GM Nordic. Den kundbaserade kunskapen måste passera många led inom processen innan den når det slutliga målet. Genom analys har en del svagheter i processen framkommit.

The aim of this study is to enlighten how todays working environment affects young individuals descriptions of how to reach success in work life, now often titled as ?career?. Our purpose has been to analyse how the term career is constituted discursively among young people in jobs characterized by flexibility. The study is based on six qualitative interviews with young adults in the media industry, all between 20-30 years old. By utilising a Foucaultdian discourse analysis we want to expose how the competing and dominating discourses, that our interviewees? statements are based on, can be associated with a wider social context.  The study reveals that our interviewees describe career in two separate ways, both positively and negatively.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie var att genom semi-strukturerade intervjuer undersöka hur lärare ser på sin pedagogiska förmåga att individanpassa undervisningen för elever med ADHD, eller liknande svårigheter, samt vilka kunskaper lärare har om ADHD. Vidare undersöktes deras uppfattningar om möjligheter och svårigheter i undervisningen, vilka strategier de kunde använda sig av, samt hur de såg på inkludering. Med en hermeneutisk forskningsansats gavs lärarna möjlighet att fritt uttrycka sina tankar och åsikter kring forskningsfrågorna. Resultatet visar att möjligheter och svårigheter i undervisningen till stor del handlar om vilka resurser de har i form av tid, pengar och personal, eftersom elever med särskilda behov är en extra kostnad för skolorna. Majoriteten av lärarna är beredda att ta egna initiativ till vidareutbildning för att lära sig hur de på bästa sätt kan bemöta dessa elever.

The telecom and the IT-industry are converging, which creates new possibilities and threats for both existing mobile handset vendors and new entrants originating from the IT-industry. The purpose of this thesis is to explain how IT-players? entrance in the mobile handset industry affects the industry in regards of key success factors and value chain structure. This study has used dynamic theories to describe the mobile handset industry. The theories have helped us in understanding the characteristics and drivers of the industry and thereafter to identify the key success factors.

Background: Balanced scorecard is a relatively new strategy in analysing activities in a company. To carry out a strategy in an organization a successful implementation is very important. Strategy implementations are unique for each organization and to succeed it has to be formulated and implemented with the individual companies particular conditions as starting- point. A problem is that the implementation sometimes is treated as a small detail in the planning process. This problem depends on how the strategic plans is carried out.

Syfte: Syftet med arbetet är att beskriva och analysera hur företag organiserar den tekniska förvaltningen då de arbetar med outsourcing och egen regi, för att sedan se om det finns några likheter/skillnader.Metod: Metodvalet för denna uppsats är kvalitativ. Fem intervjuer från tre olika fastighetsförvaltningsföretag ligger till grund för empirin. Litteratur och artiklar inom ämnet fastighetsförvaltning har använts för att närmare kunna titta på den tekniska organisationen.Teori: Teorin tar först upp en helhetsbild av fastighetsförvaltning och går sedan in på regiformerna, organisationen i förvaltningsföretag och till sist olika system företagen kan använda sig av.Empiri: Empirin innefattar tre delar och tar upp företagens regiformer, dess strategier samt organisation.Analys: En jämförelse mellan teorier och den empiriska undersökningen för analysen har gjorts. Detta för att kunna se och jämföra vilka likheter och skillnader företagen har mellan regiformerna.Slutsats: Vi har kommit fram till att det finns vissa likheter och skillnader mellan regiformerna, men även att storleken på företaget påverkar en del aspekter..

Näringslivet och arbetsmarknaden har under de senaste årtiondena genomgått en rad förändringar till följd av den globala och teknologiska utvecklingen. Som en konsekvens ställs det idag höga krav på företags förmåga att anpassa sig efter de omvärldsförändringar som hela tiden sker. Många företag kan sägas vara föremål för en ständigt pågående strukturomvandlingsprocess med avsikt att skapa ekonomisk effektivitet, flexibilitet och konkurrenskraft. Omstruktureringar såsom företagsförvärv, sammanslagningar och inte minst outsourcing av verksamhet har således kommit att bli vanliga företeelser bland affärsverksamheter idag. Mot bakgrund av ökade företagskoncentrationer och sammanslagningar mellan större företag på den gemensamma marknaden valde rådet 1977 att införa ett EG-direktiv om överlåtelse av verksamhet, till skydd för arbetstagare i sådana situationer.

Det är idag vanligt förekommande att studera på högskola och en akademisk utbildning är ofta ett krav i en platsannons. Vi har valt att studera hur mycket vikt som läggs vid utbildning, kunskaper och egenskaper vid en rekrytering inom bankbranschen och även se till hur en rekryteringsprocess genomförs. Studiens fokus ligger således på hur rekryteringsarbetet sker. Rapporten utgår ifrån frågeställningen: Hur sker rekrytering i bankbranschen? Vilka kunskaper och erfarenheter värderas och varför är det så?För att undersöka huruvida den teoretiska referensramen inom ämnet stämmer överens med verkligheten har undersökningen genomförts med hjälp av en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod.

By applying analytical dimensions on the parliamentary protocols regarding the immigration issue between the years of 2010-2012 this study will get an insight on how the argumentation concerning immigration has developed since their entrance into the Swedish parliament in 2010. The result shows that SD, through the rejection treatment of the established parties, fulfilled the three conditions which accordingly to the study's theoretical framework are crucial for the party's future success. In the established parties? reception of SD regarding immigration, SD is, to a large extent, left unchallenged as the established parties rather focus on integration instead of challenge SD in the immigration issue.

What is it that makes some events so successful, while others do not achieve the same results? According to most researchers and writers there are several factors that must be achieved in order for events to distinguish themselves from the crowd and be successful, but what are those factors then? The study was aimed to investigating the factors that create a successful sporting event. One person from each of the six largest children's and youth football tournaments, participated in this qualitative interview study. The results showed that factors such as; possessing a good knowledge of the organization, its external market environment and its stakeholders, proved significant. Similarly, to use the correct custom marketing methods, maintain and attract new stakeholders, and to have nice and caring work staff, were factors contributing to the success of wealth..

This essay examines the recent electoral success of the Sweden Democrats (SD) in the Swedish municipal election in 2006 and 2010. By using statistical methods it aims to explain which of three contradicting theoretical frameworks best can explain how a populist radical right party could penetrate one of the most stable party systems in the world. The theoretical approaches tested in this essay are: a demand-side, an external supply-side and an internal supply-side approach. By using theoretically anchored proxies to determine the effect of the contradicting theoretical approaches this essay concludes that the internal supply-side explanation measuring the local party organizational ability of the SD had the most substantial effect when it comes to explaining their recent electoral success in the Swedish municipalities, as opposed to a more commonly believed demand-side driven explanation..
