The purpose of this paper is to test a procedure that would be useful for a certain, more final purpose. Assume that you want to know if the differences in the result of a certain effort in health care have any connection with differences between the life situations of the patients. This would be easier to investigate if the life situations of the patients had connection to the easily available variable Health Care Cost (in Swedish VK). In that case the searching for connections between VK of patient groups and the result of health care efforts would be sufficient to gain knowledge of possible connection between health care efforts and life situations. Thus that is the final purpose.

Detta arbete handlar om förekomsten av verklighetsbaserade matematikuppgifter i matematikläroböcker. För att få underlag till undersökningen har vi granskat fyra svenska läroböcker i matematik, samtliga avsedda för årskurs sju. Undersökningen är fokuserad på textuppgifter, som vi valt att granska genom textanalys. I samtliga läroböcker fann vi att textuppgifterna var underrepresenterade. Av textuppgifterna var det en stor andel som baserades på verkliga händelser.

The main purpose with this thesis has been to study the design philosophy of Bruno Mathsson, how he worked with his houses and the landscape surrounding them and which kind of inspiration sources he had. My work started when I during the autumn 2004 got involved in an existing project related to one of his glass houses. The glass house is situated in Kosta and has during the last fifteen years suffered from so much vandalism and decay that it has become a problem for the municipality of Lessebo. The intentions are to restore the house and to transform it to a center for Swedish design, also containing a store and a café as well as hosting one apartment for scholarship students. My task in this project was to form and develop the outdoor environment in connection to the house.

Asymptotically flat spaces are widely studied because it is one natural way of describing an isolated system in general relativity. In this thesis we study what happens to the Lanczos potential at spacelike infinity in such spacetimes. By transformations of the Weyl-Lanczos equation, we derive expressions for the limiting equations on both the timelike unit hyperboloid, and the timelike unit cylinder. AbstractMy essay is about pupils with difficulties in mathematics. I have choosed to do a literaturestudy and interviews of teachers to get some answers to my framing of the questions.· What is mathematical difficulties?· How do we discover pupils with mathematical difficulties?· What can a teather do to facilitate for pupils with mathematical difficulties?· What resources is there to help pupils with mathematical difficulties?I have done my investigationin two schools to be abel to see if the schools are working in the same way and have the same prerequisite of pupils with mathematical difficulties.By doing an interview with both teachers and remedial teachers I have got a better insight how to help pupils in the best way. Both of this schools are putting the pupils in the middle and give them wath they need to get to the destinations that claims. The procedure are not the same between the schools.

På hösten 2011 beslutade regeringen att göra en satsning på matematik i skolan på grund av elevers sjunkande resultat. Detta sett i ett internationellt perspektiv. Satsningen gick bland annat ut på fler undervisningstimmar samt kompetensutveckling till lärare. Med bakgrund av denna matematiksatsning valde vi i denna studie att ta elevernas perspektiv på frågan varför elevernas resultat blivit sämre. Anser de till exempel att undervisningen i matematik är meningsfull?Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilket förhållningssätt eleven i årskurs 4 har till matematikundervisningen samt dess betydelse för elevens vardag och jämföra det med det uppdrag som läroplanen uttrycker avseende matematikämnet och matematikundervisningen.

Compared with a few years ago, the cost of concentrates has increased substantially and because of that an increased proportion of pasture is of interest. Pasture is cheap and the farmer does not have to harvest when the cows do it themselves by grazing. This saves both money and time. According to research milk yield decrease with an increasing proportion of pasture in the diet. This is because cows on pasture will have lower dry matter intake than cows with supplements.

Detta är en intervjustudie gjord med elva pedagoger verksamma i förskolan. Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på hur pedagoger ser skogen som en pedagogisk resurs. Resultatet visar att förskolepedagoger ser skogen som en pedagogisk resurs. Man använder sig av skogen i inlärningen av naturkunskap men också i exempelvis svenska och matematik. Pedagogerna såg möjligheter med skogen som till exempel att konkret visa barnen hur de olika årstiderna ser ut.

I denna uppsats studeras förekomsten av värden i geometrikapitel i läromedel för gymnasieskolans Matematik A. En metod baserad på innehållsanalys som använts i en tidigare studie om förekomst av värden i algebrakapitel har vidareutvecklats. Sammanlagt 955 uppgifter i geometrikapitlen i fem olika läroböcker har analyserats. Resultatet visar på en skillnad mellan intentionerna i gymnasieskolans styrdokument och det utrymme olika värden ges. Även skillnader mellan det utrymme studerade läromedel ger åt olika värden har påvisats..

The report aims to show how outdoor environments have been shaped with the purpose of experiencing them from the inside of buildings, through an overview perspective. Two Danish gardens are used as examples. One is the Baroque garden in the garden of Frederiksborg castle in Hillerød. The Baroque garden is thus a part of a larger garden. The second garden is the Charlotte Garden, a relatively newly constructed garden within a housing complex in Østerbro in Copenhagen. Both gardens are analyzed on the basis of visual expression and structure. In the report, it is also discussed how the contemporary society have evoked the different ways of shaping the gardens.

The aim of this study was to identify what kind of masculinity is shown in 54 articles of the Swedish lifestyle magazine Magazine Café of 1993 and 2008, and in which way this masculinity may be different from eachother.The study included four magazine issues of each year with analysis focus on main articles and abolishment of reviews and press items.  The method was semiotic analysis with focus on manly characteristics and stereotypes. The result showed that the normative man pictured in Magazine Café in 1993 was a man?s-man interested in manly characteristic business as sports, outdoor adventures and women. Fifteen years later not much has changed. The manly characteristics are the same but they have been complemented with a man-by-man accepted and homosexually inspired vain..

The essay initially intends to find adequate models to describe and forecast monthly data for the Swedish Consumer Price Index sub group Clothes and Shoes 1986-2005. The time series observations during 2006 are considered ?out of sample period? which is used to evaluate the forecasts. The purpose is to perform time series decomposition and to investigate and analyzethe seasonal pattern. The Box-Jenkins approach is used to find adequate ARIMA models.

Att eleverna i skolan ska utvecklas och nå de mål och kunskapskrav som finns skrivna i läroplanen är en central del i skolvärlden. Men hur når man då dessa på bästa sätt? Hur ska man som lärare veta vilken undervisning som är bäst för sina elever? I läroplanen står att eleverna ska ges en varierad undervisning där eleverna själva ska få gestalta, prova och utforska (Lgr11). Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att undersöka om laborativa arbetsätt i matematik är gynnsamt för eleverna.
