Career counselors in schools have for a long time reported a feeling that their work is not as important as teachers work. According to the Swedish Curriculum for the compulsory schools, all staff is responsible for viable counseling for pupils. Therefore, this study focuses on teachers, headmasters and a school executive director view of school career counseling, how they experience the fulfillment of curriculum goals and how it interferes/interacts with their work. To analyze the empirical material we collected from interviews, we used theoretical terms of organizational theory with focus on social structures, differentiation and integration. We also used the career theory of Super.
"Idag ska vi tälta på skolgården" : Ramfaktorers inverkan på friluftsundervisningen
The purpose of my study was to examine how teachers in physical education experience different frame factors impact on their outdoor education and their choice of didactic approach. My study is based on Lundgren´s frame factor theory and Peitersen´s didactic learning model. I have used a qualitative research method to answer my questions. I have been using semi-structured interviews to interview six PE teachers who all teach at high school level.Based on my results we see that the teachers experience teaching hours and class sizes as the frame factors that mainly affect the outdoor education. Teachers often choose to split up the outdoor activities into sequences in order to achieve better learning.

Syftet med vår uppsats är att undersöka hur ledarstilar, organisationskultur och känsloarbete ömsesidigt påverkar varandra. För att uppnå vårt syfte togs följande frågeställningar fram: Vilka är respondenternas upplevda och förväntade ledarstilar?Vilken roll spelar organisationskultur och känsloarbete i förhållande till ledarstilar?Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ undersökning inom en offentlig organisation. Nio intervjuer genomfördes, varav åtta stycken med avdelningschefer samt en med en respondent från ledningen. Detta för att kunna se hur avdelningschefer uppfattar sin ledarstil och jämföra med vad ledningen anser.

Quality Assurance in Service Procurement --- Total Quality and Total Quality Management refer to popular management philosophies in organizations these days. The purchasing department has an important part in the strive for organizational quality as several studies show corporate spend is significant and increasing. In this master thesis I study the actions companies take to ensure quality in service procurement. I argue that managing quality when sourcing services is particularly tricky, because of the special characteristics that belong to services. The purpose of the study is to examine whether different actions are taken to ensure the quality of different kinds of services.

GEHC är en del av GE koncernen som har som sin uppgift att vara ledande inom sitt affärsområde. För en sådan organisation är det viktigt att ha ett framgångsrikt samarbete och att allokera sina resurser på bästa möjliga sätt för att skapa innovativa produkter. GEHC upplever ett missnöje i den innovativa processen mellan finans- och FOU avdelningen. Detta missnöje är en brist i kommunikationen som försvårar samarbete, informations- och kunskapsöverföring mellan dessa två avdelningar. GEHC har bestämt sig för att genomföra en organisatorisk förändring där avsikten är att förbättra samarbetet mellan FOU- och finansavdelningen i den innovativa processen.

As artificial intelligence (AI) has gained more influence in recruitment, both recruitment processes and the role of the recruiter are changing. This study aims to describe and analyze how recruiters translate, use, and relate to AI in their work. Through a qualitative method based on semi-structured interviews and document analysis, the study explores recruiters? experiences, attitudes, as well as perceived obstacles and opportunities regarding the use of AI in recruitment. With a theoretical foundation in translation theory, fashion, and imitation, the study examines how AI is not only followed as a trend, but also shaped and adapted locally through translation, depending on organizational identity and needs.

De har genom tolkning, applicerat teorier till arbetsmetoder och utfört en empirisk workshop. I analysen har författarna kopplat samman teorin och empirin för att diskutera kring, samt försöka besvara studiens syfte.SlutsatsStudien visar att det är möjligt att använda Frans Johanssons (2005) teorier kring skär-ningspunkter i arbetsmetoder.

Design for Six Sigma aims to improve and structure the development process of an organisation and consider the application of the innovation problem solving. The concept aims to leave the structure of the traditional Six Sigma concept and instead, from an innovative perspective, search for new solutions to existing problems. The concept constitute of a toolbox with a lot of quality tools that are divided into phases in a development model.
Kunskapssamhället och skolan - vilken framtid möter våra lärare, elever och bibliotekarier?
The essay concerns "the knowledge society", IT and the possibilities of school being changedto meet the future. The purpose was to reflect the ideas of researchers and authorities concerningwork and education in "the knowledge society" and to illuminate/shed light on theimportance of information technology in this connection, to map organizational and pedagogicalshortcomings in the current school system and the changes that can be needed, and to investigatehow these changes can affect teachers, pupils and librarians.The investigation, which was a text analysis of normative and futurist sources, was especiallydirected towards how modem information technology can influence education/teaching.The differences between researchers and authorities were most obvious in the view of theimportance of knowledge of facts and central control mechanisms for standards or grading.For the authorities, who were devoid of a thought out/carefully prepared and consequent viewof knowledge and by that also of pedagogics, the information technique was the foremostcause of a change in pedagogy. The researchers also perceived the possibilities of IT, butemphasized the importance of pedagogical innovations irrespective of the technology.
Teaterämnets plats i det entreprenöriella lärandet: En litteraturstudie
Denna litteraturbaserade studie undersöker hur det entreprenöriella lärandet diskuteras i aktuell forskning samt hur det kan förstås i en teaterutbildningskontext. Kan teaterundervisningen främja elevernas entreprenöriella lärande? När den nya gymnasiereformen, GY11, lanserades fick landets skolor ett nytt uppdrag ? att eleverna ska utveckla entreprenöriella förmågor under sin studiegång. I samband med detta tillkom ett nytt pedagogiskt förhållningssätt: entreprenöriellt lärande.Studien visar att det finns en definitionsproblematik kring entreprenöriellt lärande. Analysen av litteraturen visar vidare att flera källor är överens om att kreativitet är en viktig byggsten för entreprenöriellt lärande.

It exists today a widespread interest for employee satisfaction, much effort are used in companies to achieve job satisfaction within their employees. One theory that has received a great deal of publicity is Hackman & Oldhams Job characteristics model which addresses the question of how companies can provide job satisfaction through organizational change. The foundation of the theory is that five core job characteristics are responsible for creating job satisfaction. The purpose of this paper is to study these characteristics through the employees and their boss and to determine how they believe these characteristics to affect employee satisfaction. The paper focuses on a company located in a branch widely known for low employee satisfaction.
Skillnader över Atlanten : En undersökning om två organisationers kommunikationsarbete i USA och i Sverige.
This essay is a case study of how two non-profit organizations, in the same line of business work with external communication and new media such as Internet and social media (Facebook and Twitter).Both these organizations are located in different countries and the purpose of the case study is also to find out if the differences in their work methods in communication depend on organizational or cultural differences. The case study was conducted in the organizations Sverige Amerika Centret in Karlstad, Sweden and The Swedish Council of America in Minneapolis, US. A qualitative approach executed through interviews and a qualitative content analysis of the organizations annual report from 2010. The result of the interviews and the document content analysis shows that there are differences in the way these organizations handle their work with external communications and new media. One of the organizations uses new media more actively in their work with communication and through that channel creates a relationship with its external audiences. The theories that has been used for this case study is Organization communication, Intercultural communication, Public Relations and Organization culture. The study was to result in an improved assembly station with lower risk of work- related injuries. It was the study group?s expectation that the measures taken at the assembly station can function as guidance and an inspiration for other ergonomic improvements at the company. Several goals related to the purpose were established as guidance for the study.The mechanic?s work situation was mapped through a series of methods.

EPiServer is a content management system where users can publish information on a website by using a web browser. EPiServer has a built-in search engine that is very simple. Many customers using EPiServer web publishing system is in need of more functionality than is offered by EPiServer's built-in search engine. The purpose of this thesis is to develop additional functionality extends that the built-in search engine in EPiServer. The assignment was also to identify what need to be developed in order to give customers a better opportunity to help their visitors find the right information on their website.Since this thesis was started in 2005, a number of commercial search engine productsentered the market and it has become more common for companies to invest inthese products instead of using the simple search engine that's built into EPiServer.These products have many of the features that have been developed in this thesis.Another crucial difference between EPiServer?s built in engine and other products isthe method used to index content.
