The study aims to give a description of the conditions in which matters is prepared withinSwedish Government`s offices, to describe the adaptive capacity in the agency`s internalprocesses by investigating the experiences of some civil servants restricted to the Ministry ofEnterprise and the Ministry of Environment in their work with the EU Maritime Policy GreenPaper. The results have been analyzed against the basis of eight identified criteria of buildingadaptive capacity in socially dominated systems. The criteria are comprised of both individualand organizational abilities. Only two of them were fully met; the criteria about diversity inexperiences and knowledge and the criteria about information and how the information hasbeen applied. However, the process has traces of all the identified criteria.

This is accomplished through a comparison between the platforms and by considering the possible areas of use for the mobile platforms based on experiences from companies and research in the area.For a company with the intent to deliver services that use mobile platforms, it is important to be able to combine expertise and resources to effectively attract customers. The purpose of this study was to, using statistical analysis, investigate to what extent families of a different cultural background have participated in family therapy and other family treatment programs at Familjeenheten in Lund. With questions regarding the goals of treatment, and the importance of cultural competence in the treatment process we have let two unit managers comment on the statistics. The population of the study is too small to allow general conclusions to be drawn, however, we have been able to ascertain that families of a different background are over-represented relative to their percentage of Lund´s population. Familjeenheten has no statistical record of ethnicity and the interviewed persons express no certain importance in the families´ cultural origins. They express no need to develop special treatment methods that take the clients´ cultural background in regard as they feel that so many of family issues are universal.

The thesis focus on how organizations can improve the ability of absorbing coworkers ideas in purpose of gaining long term competitive advantage through innovations. The study was conducted at IKEA AB where a campaign to collect coworkers ideas was a big success given the quantity of ideas collected. This fact allows a comparative analysis of idea management in the shape of campaigns and in comparison, idea management in the everyday line-organization.The analysis show that fundamental factors for innovative environments such as organizational climate, culture and leadership perceives auspiciously by the respondents. However, lack of infrastructure such as systems and processes hinders coworkers ambitions to contribute with ideas.An important issue in idea management is the treatment of incentives for innovation. Results of the study show that the ?soft? incentives ?feedback, encouragement and attention have a higher impact in coworkers willingness to the contribution of ideas than for instance monetary rewards..

Som trafikant får man många gånger sitt första ? och kanske enda ? intryck av en stad vid förbifartens trafikplatser. Här återfinns ofta brytpunkter både för körmönster och stadsmönster. Vid trafikplatsen ändras förutsättningarna för bilisterna och deras upplevelse av trafikmiljön och här delar förbifarten stadsbygd från landsbygd. Detta arbete handlar om hur man kan förbättra intrycket av en stads entré genom fysiska gestaltningsåtgärder. Arbetet syftar till att skapa en metod för att tydliggöra färden till trafikplatsen och vidare in mot staden och göra den till en regisserad resa genom rum.

Många små- och medelstora företag har idag en hemsida. För att en hemsida skall vara ett effektivt kommunikationsmedium med kunder krävs dock att den är uppdaterad. Vi anser att många företag ej förutser vilka resurser som krävs för att hålla sidan uppdaterad. Vi vill därför kartlägga vilka problem företag i dagsläget upplever att de har med sitt uppdateringsarbete. Vi vill därefter se om det finns en möjlig lösning i verktyget Smelink WEB ifrån Smelink AB, som säger sig underlätta webbnärvaron för denna typ av företag. För att undersöka ovanstående frågeställning har vi valt att gå ut med en enkätundersökning rörande hur uppdateringsarbetet går till i två grupper av företag. Den ena företagsgruppen använder sig utav Smelinks verktyg och i den andra företagsgruppen vet vi ej hur uppdateringsarbetet går till. Då vi sammanställt resultatet kunde vi konstatera att det ej fanns några omfattande problem rörande uppdateringsarbetet hos de företag som vi undersökt.

The purpose of this study is to discover and explain the influences of media coverage of organizational crises on crisis communication, and vice versa. The study also shows how mediated crises develop, and how media framing and news sources affect this development.Carried out as a case study of three Swedish mediated crises, the methods used are quantitative and qualitative content analysis of media content from four Swedish newspapers and four organizations' press releases from the studied crises.Mediated crises develop through their specific pattern regardless of, but not independent from, the organizations' crisis communication. The crisis communication is used as an elite source in media reporting from the crises, but it can not control the mediated crises. However, it influences framing, and the possibilities to influence media reporting are better in the pre-crisis phase and the culmination..

Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka vad kommunikationsbrister kan bero på och hur en organisation kan gå tillväga för att lösa problem som uppstår på grund av dem. Med detta som grund har studien utformat rekommendationer för hur förvärvsorganisationer kan arbeta med den interna kommunikationen och på så sätt överkomma och förebygga brister i kommunikationen.Metod: En fallstudie utifrån en deduktiv forskningsprocess användes genom att ställa upp påståenden utifrån teorin som prövades på empirin. Datainsamlingen skedde genom kvalitativa intervjuer och en kvantitativ enkät.Slutsats: Brister som uppstår i kommunikationen har en verkan på hela organisationens finansiella och prestationsmässiga resultat. Det är viktigt att alla kan känna sig fria att använda den fysiska miljön. För det krävs bl.a. en god tillgänglighet. År 2001 antog riksdagen en nationell handlingsplan för handikappolitiken som ger riktlinjer om ökad tillgänglighet bl.a. ska enkelt avhjälpta hinder åtgärdas senast år 2010.

The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze the potential effects on a number of social workers that may arise from listening to stories of domestic violence, and how these social workers deal with the potential effects. The study is based on qualitative interviews with seven social workers that work with domestic violence. The theoretical perspective that we used was the theory of coping. The results of this study have indicated that the respondents have been affected of listening to the stories of domestic violence. Examples of different impacts that the work has had on some of the social workers is that they avoid movies and/or books with elements of violence, they are more aware of the domestic violence in the surroundings and there has also been changes in their cognitive schemas.

As consumers we want to know from whom we buy, what we buy and the impact the company has on our planet. In recent years there been an increasing number of scandals concerning child labour, dangerous chemicals and falsely labelled meat. A good way for companies to communicate their environmental efforts is to establish a sustainability report, where they describe their work and their impact on our environment. By concentrating on H&M?s sustainability report, as well as conducting a rhetorical analysis, we have been able to focus on the following research questions:  ? Why do companies establish CSR reports? ? How do companies gain legitimacy through their rhetorical choices? ? How do companies try to influence recipients? attitudes to the company? We begin by studying the context, which is of importance when using a rhetorical method and thereby attempt to understand in what situation the text is created.

The aim of our study has been to come to an understanding of how the executive officials within the care of the elderly experience the cooperation with relatives to elderly people who is in need and apply for public home help according to the law of social services. Our expectation of this study is that we gain an increased insight how they as executive officials manage this cooperation situations. The method we used in this study has a qualitative research approach. This design was chosen as the most appropriate approached to illuminate and exploring the experience of the executive officials. Nine executive officials has described their experience in this matter in an interview were we both participate.

The aim of the study was to understand limitations and possibilities to the discretion of managers in order to fulfill wishes of users. The study is based on six interviews, three with managers and three with staff in common homes for mentally disabled people. The study took place in a municipality in Sweden in the spring of 2010. We used an interview guide with specific themes and questions. The theoretical framework was based on organizational theories as well as theories about management and discretion.
