E-förvaltningens roll i främjandet av demokrati. En fallstudie om offentlig förvaltnings relation till demokrati med stöd av IT
Information technology (IT) with its enormous capacity involves more and more in our daily activities and public sector is using IT to make their activities more efficient. The government goal with electronic government (e-government) among other things is increasing the availability and service to the public as well as improving the democratic process. Democracy can be strengthened by involving citizens in public decision making process but this goal has not been achieved yet and the development of e-government has mostly been focused on improving efficiency within administration and electronic services (e-services). Promoting the democratic process has been postponed in the development of e-government because of the lack of political commitment and decision. Digital divide is also preventing public sector to promote democracy with the support of IT.

This study is conducted with a focus on managers and its different forms as found in a nation wide Swedish bedroom specialist-organisation, Sängjätten. Leadership is perceived in many forms and depends on a large variety of factors within and outside the organisation. One of these factors is ownership and the characteristics these imply on the forms in which the manager works. Within the studied organisation there were two distinctive forms of ownership regarding to the stores we studied; such as franchising compared to the franchiser owned through a national headquarter, so-called ?self-proprietary stores?.

According to the immigration service forecasts Sweden faces large refugee influxes in the coming years. This means that educators in the kindergarten, preschool and school, will meat children from the war torn countries. In this study, the purpose is to find out the educators different conceptions of war-affected refugee children, because my theory is that their beliefs influence their actions. I wanted to get answers to their beliefs about the difficulties or challengers that children and educators may be faced with. Furthermore, I wanted to know what educators envisioned about their own role?s importance to the war affected refugee children and their perceptions of the Swedish culture, environment, language and school.

The reason for the study was to look deeper into employees? motivational factors, this with a focus on salary as motivational factor in structures of salary boxes where it is possible for the employee to work towards goals which affect their salary. The primary purpose of the study was to look into if employees? ability to advance their performance had any connection to the impostion of salary boxes.Methodology: In order to collect as much data as possible for the measurements one of the largest occupational groups in Uppsala municipality was chosen, which represents the group of pre-school teachers.

Vattenfall AB is a large producer of electric energy where approximately half of the energy comes from hydropower. Vattenfall Hydropower has got almost a 100-year old history and the company has developed a lot since 1909. After that the number of power plants increased and the competition got more intense, there were higher demands on the reliability. One way to secure the reliability with a good satisfaction at the power plants is to implement a maintenance method named Reliability-Centred Maintenance. RCM is a result of the introduction of the complex aeroplane Boeing 747 in the 1960?s.

Background: The debate about environment, labor conditions and aid to developing countries has the last years been a much discussed subject The pressure on the companies to live up to their responsibility is beginning to be noticed in the market.Purpose: To find out if a retail company investing in Corporate Social Responsibility thereby direct can effect it?s stock value. Using interviews to investigate if and how stock analysts and corporate finance professionals valuate a company?s CSR initiatives.Theoretical perspective: The description of CSR is leading to the main theory, The Brand Value Change, and the Market Hypothesis. Additionally a theory of the Consumer Buying Process and CAPM-model about financial risks is presented.Method: An event study of 30 companies to investigate if there is any change in their stock values and interviews with three professionals from the financial sector to find out about their attitude to CSR.

I början av 2000-talet producerade Riksskatteverket en rapport vilken undersökte skattebortfallet inom byggbranschen. Rapporten gav bland annat ett förslag om att införa omvänd skattskyldighet för mervärdesskatt inom byggsektorn, byggmoms. Lagförslaget i prop. 2005/06:130 klubbades av Riksdagen och trädde i kraft den 1 juli år 2007. Under det första halvåret avgjorde SNI-koder vilka tjänster och företag som skulle omfattas av den omvända skattskyldigheten.

The web has a broad affect on the global economy and can among other things be used for web based information systems (WIS). These systems have grown from being used as a market platform to support all activities in the work of an organisation of today. To survive in a turbulent competitive environment, companies must start to cooperate with their customers instead of just collaborate with them. Can an IT-consultant company use a WIS as a tool for keeping in contact with existing customers to attain this cooperation? A WIS could strengthen the relation between customer and supplier and through that have a possibility to increase the customer use since it can facilitate business processes and imply that services can be offered in a new way.
Åtagande och motivation ? Studie av frivillig extern rörelse bland chefer i kommunal verksamhet
I denna uppsats har en kvalitativ studie genomförts angående chefer i offentlig förvaltning och vad som påverkat dem att säga upp sig. Forskning som redan finns angående motivation och åtagande är till stor del framtagen och applicerad i privata organisationer och företag, vilket var en av motiveringen till denna infallsvinkel i uppsatsen. Empirin har hämtats från en av Sveriges största kommuner, där alla deltagare tidigare arbetas som chefer men avlutat sin anställning under 2012. För att belysa ett fenomen med hög chefsomsättning har semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts med chefer som arbetat i områdena äldrevårdsomsorg och funktionshinder. Data i form av information och uttalanden samlades in från deltagarna angående vad som påverkat deras beslut om uppsägning.
Förändringsarbete ur ett medarbetarperspektiv - En fallstudie på Särö skola
Förändringsarbete är en viktig och ständigt närvarande komponent vid ledning av dagens ochmorgondagens organisationer. Denna undersökning studerar förändringsarbetet under en omorganisering där tre skolor slås samman till en. I praktiken är det alltså två förändringar somimplementerats; en flytt av tre skolor till en nybyggd gemensam skola och en omorganisering, då de tre organisationerna blev en. Undersökningen följer 8 anställda på en av de tidigare skolorna med syftet att undersöka hur organisationer skall ledas under förändringsarbeten för att minimera mängden motstånd från de anställda så att förändringsarbeten kan genomföras så framgångsrikt som möjligt.En omfattande litteraturstudie genomfördes för att identifiera viktiga och relevanta teorier ochmodeller. Framför allt identifierades två modeller som tillämpas; Lewins 3-stegsmodell och Kotters 8-stegsmodell.

The purpose of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of how teachers and other people working with mathematics in a school context perceive inclusion in terms of education. In addition,the purpose is to describe their experiences of inclusive education in mathematics and to identify factors of importance for an inclusive approach to teaching mathematics. The starting point was the significance of inclusive education as regards the education system and research on the implementation of inclusive education internationally and in Sweden. The theoretical approach is founded in a special education perspective on teaching and the theory of optimal experience. The people interviewed for this study are directly or indirectly involved in the teaching of mathematicsat a school that explicitly works from an inclusive perspective.
Effektivisering av ventilationsprojekt : Bravida Filial Uppsala
In recent years the construction industry has been exposed to increased time pressure which has resulted in a higher amount of wastage. Today 35 % of all construction projects in Sweden is "wasted". Time pressure has risen due to increased competition on the market, with more actors entering the construction business, therefore profit margins decreased which has led to a more pressing need for decreasing the amount of wastage.Bravida is Scandinavia's largest supplier of installations and provides specialist services in electrical installations (heating and sanitation), and ventilation. Mahdi Bawaqneh's task was to investigate where, how and why wastage occurs in the company's projects and how to prevent such wastage. The thesis covers the subjects of lean production, communication in projects and planning of projects.

Abstract This essay has grown out of an interest for the subject of religion and religious education for upper secondary pupils in Sweden. Our society is characterized by cultural, religious and secular diversity, which also reflects in the classroom where individuals with different religious preferences share space and participate in discussions. One of my aims is that this essay can be a contribution for future studies in the religious field. Previous research has shown that Swedish pupils increasingly lose interest in the subject of religion (on a personal level but also more in general). There is a possibility that this picture might have changed since these studies where done, and that is what I want to investigate in this essay.
När spelen blev farliga: konstruktionen av dataspel som ett socialt problem i svensk press 2000-2006
This essay focuses on the construction of so called "computer game addiction" or "computer game abuse" in the Swedish press during 2000-2006. During this period computer game addiction went from an obscure phenomenon to a legit reason for the involuntary commitment of a fourteen-year-old.The study's theory is based on several social constructionist ideas. Kitsuse and Spector's theories about constructing social problems as claims-making activities are used for understanding the actions of the individual and groups involved. Hewitt and Hall's article about quasi-theory is used to explain the construction of explainations for the new social phenomenon. Blumer's five-stage model is used for categorizing the construction of the new social problem.
En Fusions Påverkan : en fallstudie av Nordea
Syfte: Tanken med detta arbete har varit att se hur en fusion med företag i fyra olika länder som deltagare påverkat en stor organisation som Nordea, undersöka vilka skillnader de olika kulturerna för med sig och vilka problem de orsakat i integrationsprocessen. Jag ville även jämföra vilka olika ledarstilar som existerade i de olika länderna och ta reda på om det påverkat chefernas ledarstil i Sverige. Även massmedians bevakning under integrationsprocessen undersöks för att se deras inställning till sammanslagningen.Metod: I denna uppsats har både sekundär- och primärdata använts. Jag har studerat vad andra skrivit om fusioner, kulturens påverkan och olika ledarstilar men jag har även samlat in egen primärdata genom intervjuer med två personer från Nordea. Sedan har jag jämfört resultatet av intervjuerna med teorin för att få en bra bild om hur fusionen och integrationsprocessen fungerat i Nordea.Resultat & slutsats: De olika kulturerna inkluderade olika ledarstilar i fusionen och en viss anpassning har krävts av cheferna för att samarbetet ska fungera.
