St. John?s wort extract is composed of a large number of components, about 150, but the most studied and interesting substance are hyperforin and hypericin. The herb is very popular and it is known for its pharmacological efficacy in numerous disorders. It is used for treatment of mild to moderated depression as an alternative to synthetic antidepressants.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie som inkluderar 18 artiklar, har varit att belysa vilka nutritionsstöd som kan förebygga och behandla malnutrition hos barn med cancer samt vilka omvårdnadsbehov som finns i samband med nutritionsbehandling. Resultatet visade att barn med cancer som behandlas med strålning och/eller cytostatika ofta drabbas av olika biverkningar som påverkar nutritionen. Cirka 46 % av barnen utvecklade malnutrition. Näringsintaget försämrades ofta på grund av biverkningarna vilket fick till följd att behandlingen försämrades samt tillväxt och utveckling påverkades negativt. Olika sätt fanns för att upprätthålla gott nutritionsstatus.

The background of this research is that Swedish food products have hard to compete at the home market, depending on imported food products that increase more and more for every year that pass by. The ethic values LRF associate with Swedish food products, many customers have hard to put in relation with condition of foreign agriculture. Most customers today inquire high quality, safety and convenience in the food which they are eating. The source of their food seems to have less meaning. Many restaurants and bigger households appreciate Swedish food products and wants to buy them but price differences against foreign wares are to high. We have done oral interviews with wholesale dealers, restaurants, public purchasers and with different market organisations, there we have discussed buying strategies, the way they see the primary producer, the conscious of guests, choice and attitudes to Swedish and foreign products, distribution of power in the food market chain and to what position and suspension, they want the ranks of suppliers to have. The result shows the share of imported wares within restaurants and bigger households are at a high level and will continuing increasing. Within these sectors the final consumer in many cases put less effort in the origin of the raw source of food.

The purpose of this thesis was to find out what experiences teachers have from using a class blog in teaching. What are the advantages and disadvantages by the use of blogs in education?I have used qualitative interviews with four teachers in grades 1 to 6 who have worked with a class blog in teaching between one and three years.The study has shown that teachers' experience is that the blog serves as motivation and promotes learning for many different pupils and that, together with other digital tools is more equal. The main benefits that teacher mention is the expanded concept of text that offers multiple forms of expression and the authentic reader, which makes it more real, important and meaningful. Other benefits that come up are that it helps students to see their learning and learn from and with each other.

Bakgrund: Den postoperativa smärtans utfall påverkas av en rad olika faktorer såsom kirurgins lokalisation och omfattning, barnets ålder och dess förväntningar. I mitten av 1900-talet sågs negativa konsekvenser av att barn blev lämnade ensamma på sjukhus. Detta har lett fram till en mer familjecentrerad vård där föräldrarna har en viktig roll. Vården bygger på ett nära samarbete, där föräldrarna är en bro mellan barnet och vårdpersonalen. Föräldrarna kan med sin närvaro trösta, stötta och hjälpa barnet att lindra sin smärta.

Felint coronavirus (FCoV) är vanligt förekommande hos våra katter. Viruset i sig orsakar för det mesta inga symtom alls eller en mild enterit, men hos vissa individer muterar viruset och orsakar den dödliga sjukdomen Felin infektiös peritonit (FIP). De flesta katter som smittas av FCoV bär på viruset i veckor till månader för att sedan göra sig av med det. Vissa katter blir persistenta bärare och smittspridare. Eftersom viruset är så spritt i vår kattpopulation är det svårt att sanera en besättning från FCoV.

Idag åtar sig unga idrottare hårda träningsprogram redan i tidig ålder, vilket innebär hård träningsbelastning samtidigt som de fortfarande växer. Detta ställer höga krav på dessa individers nutritionella status. Självrapporterade kostregistreringar bland unga idrottare visar ofta att intagen av energi och kolhydrater ligger under rekommenderade nivåer.Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om unga innebandyspelare, antagna till NIU-innebandy, har ett adekvat energi-, makronutrient- och vätskeintag i förhållande till kostrekommendationer anpassade för unga innebandyspelare. Vidare har det undersökts om ett kompletterande energisupplement har kunnat ge dessa idrottare ökad fysisk prestationsförmåga och/eller ökad egenupplevd fysisk förmåga.Deltagarnas energi-, makronutrient- och vätskeintag har vid två tillfällen uppskattats med hjälp av vägda 3-dagars kostregistreringar. Deltagarnas energiutgifter har estimerats med hjälp av 3-dagars aktivitetsdagböcker och accelerometrar.

Children and young people's right to culture is a priority in the Government's cultural policy. Creative school was introduced in 2008 with the aim that children and youth should receive professional culture in school and increasing access to culture in all forms of expression and possibilities of their own creation, with starting points in the school curriculum. The purpose of this bachelor is to explore the view, the treatment and the use of Creative school in Värmland. A comparison has been made between professional culture, which conveys the culture and culture Coordinator who develops and co-ordinates the work of culture in schools, based on their experiences of creating school. I have looked at what barriers and opportunities there are in liaison with the school and how creative activities can be integrated into the school's other subjects.

Three main questions give the fundamental structure for this master thesis: 1) In what way is the notion of law being perceived in the following theologians respectively; David P. Scaer, Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Wolfhart Pannenberg? 2) In what way is the notion of law being perceived in the encyclical Veritatis Splendor? 3) Which similarities and divergences can be found in the respective expositions of the notion of law?For the purpose of comparison, I have employed four questions of analysis. These are: A) What is ?the law?? B) Is the law being effected, or is it working, in the world and if so - in what ways and for what purposes is it meant to serve? C) Does human beings have any capacities to understand and/or live in accordance to the law? D) Does the Gospel, perceived as the earthly life, actions, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, effect any alteration with respect to the purpose, range, function or interpretation of the law?In order to better understand Roman-Catholic concepts of law, the treatise on law of Thomas Aquinas Summa Theologica is briefly presented.

To reach objectives within EU?s Habitatdirective and the national environmental objectives, more information about semi-natural pastures is required. The expression semi-natural pasture is used for pastures that during the latest time are uncultivated and unfertilized. Semi-natural pastures are important in many respects for example to conserve the biodiversity and for our cultural history. The aim of my study was to compile and calculate the area of semi-natural pastures by use existing sources of information.

Introduction : Structural cardiac malformations affects 0.8-1% of children born worldwide, in Sweden 800-1000 children per year. Most children with congenital heart disease and their families will have frequent and lifelong contact with highly specialized care. Awareness of the parents experience is crucial in order to improve the nursing care. These experiences will be illustrated using a theoretical model of family-based nursing. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe experiences of being a parent to a child with a congenital heart disease.

Många äldre som bor på särskilda boenden behöver ofta hjälp med sin munvård. Tidigare studier och rapporter beskriver vårdpersonalens bristande kunskap om och inställning till munhälsa och munvård. Syftet med den här studien är att beskriva sjuksköterskors uppfattningar av arbetet med äldres munhälsa på särskilt boende i en kommun. Metoden var kvalitativ med fenomenografisk ansats. Femton informanter från elva särskilda boenden intervjuades. Resultatet från informanternas olika uppfattningar av arbetet med äldres munhälsa bestod av sju kvalitativt skilda beskrivningskategorier: ansvar, skötsel av munvård, organisation och arbetsledning, tillgänglighet, autonomi och integritet, kunskap och kompetens samt information och samarbete. Ansvaret delades mellan flera yrkeskategorier, munvårdens skötsel varierade och organisation och arbetsledning fungerade bra.
