AbstractSwedish tuition for immigrants (SFI) is a public adult education program in Sweden that was created in order to provide the immigrants with basic skills in Swedish. People with different backgrounds speaking different languages learn together how they should communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. For those who teach SFI it is important to know which factors have positive effects on the Swedish language acquisition. One of the questions to be asked is if the learning materials´ genre has any effect on the SFI students´ proficiency, in particular, oral proficiency. Scientists as von Franz, Vygotskiy and Bettelheim argued that fairy tales, as a genre consciously or subconsciously recognizable by all the people, present texts that are easy to acqiure.

The communication of self-service within the ICA-sphere, 1945-1960, points tothe central role of communication in technological change. The study coversthe communication from ICAAB, ICA-Förbundet, AB Köpmannatjänst, threepurchasing centres (Hakon, Essve and Eol) and their respective councils oftrustees. The councils communicated their reservations early on, while theother actors spread knowledge (both economic and practical) of the innovation tothe retailers, and some also to the consumers. Studies have shown the importance of market communication in both private and public organisations.Since the past decade market communication has been acknowledged as an instrument to provide the organisations target group with valid information.This thesis is a study about the differences in market communication between private and public organisations. To manage this we asked ourselves the question:?- What distinguish the market communication in a private respective a public organisation??We have done qualitative interviews to get the best result for our study. We have interviewed both types of organisations and our respondents have leading strategic position in their organisations.Our research highlights important differences between private and public organisations in matter of tactics in market communication.In conclusion the result shows a great difference in how an organization is managing their communicative strategies all depending on if it is a private owned company or a public organisation..

Purpose/aim: To investigate individual experiences of how a new communication technology, e-mail, influences a) the structure of the internal communication ? does it for example make networking any easier? ? and b) the form of the persons everyday language.Material/method: A theoretical framework gathered through a literature study and empirical data gathered through interviews with two persons.Main results: Differences and similarities exist between the experiences studied in this paper. The most unexpected result is that the system of e-mail does not seem to be able to create new channels of communication. If anything, it reinforces the structure that already exist. Munhälsa i fokus : En intervention för att införa ROAG ? formuläret påen palliativ slutenvårdsavdelning.
SAMMANFATTNING Syftet med interventionsstudien var att undersöka om ROAG (revised oral assessment guide) munbedömningsinstrument förbättrade sjuksköterskor bedömning av cancerpatienters munhälsa på en palliativ vårdenhet.Metoden hade en kvasiexperimentell design med en journalgranskning före och efter en intervention. Interventionen bestod av en kortare utbildning av munhälsa samt införandet av ROAG munbedömningsinstrumentet.Resultatet visade att både bedömningar och åtgärder av munhälsan har ökat statistiskt signifikant jämfört med före interventionen på den palliativa vårdenheten, resultatet visar också att det inte alltid finns rätt koppling mellan symtom och åtgärd.Slutsats ROAG munbedömningsinstrument är ett bra verktyg för sjuksköterskor att använda för att bedöma munhälsan på en palliativ vårdenhet, men det räcker inte bara med ROAG munbedömningsinstrument utan det behövs kontinuerlig utbildning för att förbättra bedömningar och åtgärder ..

AbstractPurpose/Aim: The purpose of this paper was to identify the communication process at the company Cherry casino and see what opinions the employees had about it. Moreover, an evaluation of the used strategies was done and an analysis about what perhaps could be done to improve the attitude, communication and in the end the result for the company.Material/Method: The empirical material was gathered through qualitative interviews and theory application.Main results: The transmission of information regarding the regular work related information works just fine and the channels used are well chosen. But more large-scale information that deals with the company?s plans, strategies and targets is not handled in the right way. Neither is the respond.
Kommunikation mellan bank och kund: en studie angående kommunikationen mellan akademiker med några års arbetslivserfarenhet och banken
The purpose of this thesis was to examine what the communication between bank and customer looks like. We have more specifically studied how the bank communicates with the customer when communicating different offers, how the customer wants the communication to take place, what communication problem looks like and how the customer wants the bank to design their offers. Our target group was bank customers with academic degree, with one to seven years of working experience. This study was conducted trough interviews with bank customers and representatives at the bank. On the basis of our studies we found that the communication between bank and customer works fairly well.
Medarbetares behov av kommunikation : Ett medarbetarperspektiv på kommunikation vid en organisationsförändring
Changes are occurring in most organizations today and due to the fact that changes often are harder to implement than they seem, it often takes much longer time to implement them than the management have planned. During an organizational change theorist claim that communication between managers and employees is one of the most important things to consider. Therefore, in this essay, our aim is to closer investigate which needs of information and communication co-workers have during a planned organizational change. To collect data, we interviewed five co-workers and one manager who works in an organization which has gone through a major change. Our theoretical framework comprises former research of organizational communication, employee?s needs of communication, change communication and theories of uncertainty during organizational change.
Orala problem som förekommer vid ätstörningar
Ätstörningar som anorexia nervosa (AN) och bulimia nervosa (BN) innebär ett folkhälsoproblem som kan orsaka oral ohälsaStudiens syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka vilka orala problem som förekommer vid AN och BN.Material och metod: Studien genomfördes i form av en litteraturstudie. Material samlades in via sökningar i databasen Web of Science. Resultatet baserades på en sammanställning av sju vetenskapliga artiklar.Resultat: Resultatet visade att ett flertal studier har redovisat förekomst av orala förändringar vid diagnoserna AN och BN. Mest förekommande var dentala erosioner och hypertrofi av glandula parotis. Men även förekomst av karies, parodontal sjukdom samt orala slemhinneförändringar och infektioner framgick.Slutsats: Slutsatsen med denna studie visar att de mest förekommande orala problemen som uppstår vid AN och BN är dentala erosioner samt hypertrofi av salivkörtlarna, även orala slemhinneförändringar och infektioner förekommer..
Internkommunikation på Gruvön : Modern kommunikation inom industrin
The bulk of the research within the field of media and communication is concentrated at theforefront of development, studies focus on modern companies and modern communication.However, many people work in the industry, where the conditions for communication are partly different. The aim of this study is to explore the possibilities for internal communication that the employees have at the base industrial company of Billerud Gruvön, Sweden. How important do they feel that communication is? Can the internal communication within Gruvön be described as modern, where dialogue between the staff is possible, or as orders from the top down to the bottom of the hierarchal structure?These are our research questions:Which channels are used for communication within Gruvön, and how are they used?How important do the employees deem the internal communication to be?Can the communication within a hierarchal industrial company such as Gruvön be described as modern, where dialogue is at the center, or does the communication consist basically on orders from the top down to the bottom of the chain?Our research is based on the following theories: Communication, Organizational communication, Internal communication and Organizational culture. We have looked to earlier research such as the doctorates of Simonsson (2002) and Johansson (2003) to further our understanding.The methods used are interviews with operators, middle management and the informationofficer at Gruvön.

The aim of this study is to investigate oral peer review on argumentative speech and to study the attitudes towards this peer review. The investigation was performed in an up-per secondary school class, and it focused on the different types of oral responses students give each other. In addition, the study investigated in what way the students experience this type of peer review. The results show that students reflect on form and performance as well as content, but they place more emphasis on form and performance than content. Students are positive about peer review and its importance for their progress.
Muntlig examination som bedömningsverktyg
Sammanfattning Denna studie redovisar resultatet av en kvalitativ intervjuundersökning angående muntlig examination inom vuxenutbildningen. Syftet med studien var att undersöka användandet av muntlig examination vid slutprov av kurser inom den gymnasiala och grundläggande vuxenutbildningens Omvårdnadsprogram och Barn- och fritidsprogram. Intervjuerna genomfördes vid tre skolor där sammanlagt nio personer intervjuades. En skolledare och två lärare intervjuades vid respektive skola. Intervjumaterialet bearbetades genom två kategoriseringar.
