Effects of Menstrual Cycle and Oral Contraceptives on Sport Performance During the menstrual cycle, there is a variation of the female steriod hormones estrogen and progestogen. These hormones has mainly reproduktive functions, but do also affect other physiological systems, which may have an influence on athletic performance. The use of oral contraceptives among female athletes matches the use among the general population. There is a concern among female athletes and there coaches weather oral contraceptives can affect the performance. The purpose of this litterature review is to determine the effect of the menstrual cycle and the use of oral contraceptives on athletic performance.

The purpose of this study was to investigate parents' knowledge about diet and dental caries. The survey was conducted using a structured questionnaire consisting of 19 questions regarding knowledge of diet and caries, and preventive measures. The questionnaires were distributed to parents who were visiting a dental hygienist or prophylaxis nurse with their children aged 0-3 years. A total of 88 completed surveys were collected. The study showed that the majority of the parents had knowledge about diet and dental caries.

SAMMANFATTNING Syftet med arbetet var att belysa sambandet mellan tobaksanvändning, oral och allmän hälsa. Dessutom skulle ungdomars kunskap om tobakens skadliga effekter på oral och allmän hälsa undersökas. Våra specifika frågeställningar var följande: Vad vet ungdomar om tobakens skadliga effekter på oral och allmän hälsa? Varifrån har de fått sin kunskap? Kan kunskapsnivån påverka tobaksanvändningen? Finns det någon skillnad mellan pojkars och flickors kunskap? För att komma fram till resultatet har valts att göra en litteraturstudie. Informationen har hämtats från böcker, vetenskapliga artiklar och från internet. Studien slår fast att rökning orsakar skador på kroppens alla organ, speciellt på munhåla, svalg och lungor.

Patienter som erhåller strålbehandling mot huvud- och halscancer drabbas i hög utsträckning av behandlingsrelaterade biverkningar. Oral mucosit, skada på munhålans slemhinna, är vanligt förekommande och kan påverka patientens grad av livskvalitet. Sjukvårdspersonal undersöker inte regelbundet munhålan och det kan därför dröja innan tecken på skada uppenbaras. Syftet med denna uppsats var att beskriva omvårdnadsinterventioner vid oral mucosit i samband med strålbehandling mot huvud- och halscancer. Vidare att beskriva om standardisering av omvårdnaden kan lindra behandlingsrelaterad oral mucosit.

Lärare använder sig av olika metoder för att hjälpa studenter att utveckla de verktyg de behöver för att lära sig engelska, eller något annat ämne. En metod här är muntlig feedback, som används för att uppmuntra elever eller korrigera dem när de utför språkliga fel. Vårt mål med detta examensarbete är därför att undersöka vilka typer av muntlig feedback som kan hittas i ett klassrum där man lär sig engelska som främmande språk och vilka attityder som både lärare och studenter kan ha gentemot muntlig feedback. Tre typer av undersökningsmetoder har använts: observationer, intervjuer och enkäter. Resultatet visar på att studenter förhåller sig positivt till muntlig feedback i klassrummet, särskilt explicit corrective feedback.

This is a study about the communication interaction in the context of the reference work at some public university-libraries and some private company libraries in Gothenburg and Borås. The primary purpose of the study is to investigate the communication interaction in a library situation. The second purpose is to deepen the knowledge, understanding and to establish what is important in this communication. Focus has been on how the intermediaries communicate and how she or he perceives this communication. The intermediary needs to manage the communication with all the different patrons and different information needs of the patrons.

Många äldre behöver idag hjälp med sin munhygien, då de ofta har eller riskerar att drabbas av flertalet konsekvenser som en bristfällig munvård och hygien orsakar. Syftet med studien var att beskriva sjuksköterskans betydelse för upprätthållande av god oral hälsa hos äldre. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie. Resultatet visade att det finns stora brister i hur munvården utförs, samt på viket sätt som sjuksköterskan kan förebygga flertalet munrelaterade problem genom preventivt arbete. Många gånger kan sjukvårdspersonal negligera behovet av en god munvård.

Purpose:The purpose of this paper is to investigate and clarify some of the factors that influence organizations to adopt or reject the social media, and if the emergence of social media influenced the organization's communication.Metohodology:A qualitative methodology has been used to execute the study. The source has been semi structured interviews with chosen representatives from several organizations.Theoretical perspective:The theoretical basis for the execution of the methodology is based on the provisional theoretical demarcation uses and gratifications theory. For analysis diffusion of innovations theory is applied.Emperical findings:The empirical material includes interviews with representatives from twelve selected organizations, defined as companies in the industry and authorities, in seven different industries.Conclusion: The main factors affecting an adoption of social media is the organization?s open structure, the ability to see opportunities with social media and that they are seen as a natural part of development in the communications field. The main factors affecting a rejection of social media is ignorance, the organization's governance and that there must be a need that social media can fill.

Initiativet till projektet togs av tandvårdspersonal på Specialisttandvården i Halmstad då de upplevde problem vid arbete med oral protetik. Problemet, som projektet även bygger på, innebär att komponenter tappas och på grund av gravitationen samt patientens position riskeras att inhaleras eller sväljas. Detta innebär ett stress- och orosmoment, vilket bidrar till en försämrad psykosocial arbetsmiljö för tandvårdspersonalen. 2008 infördes det statliga tandvårdsstödet i Sverige vilket innebär en reducerad kostnad för protetikingrepp som lett till att fler har råd med oral protetik. Därför blir problemet mer och mer utbrett, vilket gjort kravet på en lösning mer eftertraktad. I projektet har dynamisk produktutveckling tillämpats med stort fokus på involvering av framtida användare. Artikelsökning, observation och enkätundersökning i genomförd produktdefinitionsfas lade grunden till projektet.

Facebook´s importance has grown significantly regarding crisis communication. A deficiency concerning what types of companies has been investigated earlier and how their crisis communication should be carried out on Facebook, has been identified. The aim of this study is to examine the crisis communication of a smaller company on Facebook and explore how this communication has been received by the company?s recipients. We apply an explorative approach on to a case study in order to answer the aim.

This thesis is a case study of the informal internal communication at a Swedish government agency called Swedac. The purpose of the study was to investigate how the employees perceive and use the informal internal communication, what communication media they utilize for it and how the informal internal communication correlates to certain aspects of the organizational structure. In order to achieve this, six qualitative interviews was carried out with employees in the organization. Since informal internal communication is not a well-defined concept I explained my view of the concept in the thesis. The results show that the informal internal communication is very important and fairly widespread at Swedac.

Syftet med studien var att kartlägga studier som har använt sig av det orala hälsorelaterade livskvalitetsinstrumentet GOHAI. Studien bygger på en allmän litteraturstudie som sammanställt forskning inom det ämne som är valt. Granskning gjordes av artiklar som använt sig av GOHAI vilka söktes via PubMed. Begränsning gjordes på deltagare ?60 år, engelskspråkiga och med abstract tillgängligt. Studien baserades på 20 kvantitativa artiklar. Resultatet visade att studierna kom från olika delar av världen.

To lead is to communicate, a main part of the leadership. 80 % of leaders working tasks involve communication of some kind. The ambition of this study is to analyze how four leaders of an international technique consulting company experience and handle community and technical development during their professional courses. The leaders have a various experience of leadership which adds depth and width to this study. To perform the study qualitative method has been used in the form of personal interviews.The result indicates that change is not always beneficial in every aspect of communication.
