GCR och punktförstoring i offset

Denna rapport är resultatet av ett examensarbete utfört på Karlstads Universitet och Linköpings Universitet, Campus Norrköping. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka om en GCR-metoden vid namn Optimal Färgbaserad GCR är applicerbar i o ffsettryck, hur punktförstoringen påveras när i färgtryck och undersöka möjligheten för en metod som experimentellt separerar och optisk och mekanisk punktförstoring.Optimal Färgbaserad GCR fungerar så att givet en uppsättning CMY så returneras två primärfärger och svart som matchar CMY uppsättningen bäst i CIE L*a*b*-rymden. Det har visat sig att punktförstoringen är en viktig faktor som påverkar prestandan för Optimal Färgbaserade GCR-metoden så studier av punktförstoringen utfördes. Resultatet var att när det konventionella tillvägagångssättet, punktförstoringskurvor, användes så returnerade beräkningar ett stort Efel.Det visade sig att den felaktiga hanteringen av den optiska punktförstoringen i punktförstoringskurvs-approachen var anledningen till felet. På grund av den naturliga skillnaden mellan optisk och mekanisk punktförstoring, tanken (som används i punktförstoringskurvs-approachen) att representera den optiska punktförstoringen som en geometrisk area är felaktig.

Fundamentala faktorers förklaringsgrad och simuleringsmöjligheter gentemot elspotpriset på Nord Pool : Utsläppsrätternas betydelse för elspotpriset under andra handelsperioden

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relation between certain chosen fundamental factors (emission trading rights, hydrological balance, interaction with continental Europe, fuel prices) and the spot price at Nord Pool. Particular focus has been put on the trade with emission rights since it is only now their actual impact on electricity prices can be studied. The relationships are measured with regression analysis which includes both R2 and the simulation possibilities of ARX models. The studied period covers 2008 and 2009 with partly daily data and partly weekly data. Owing to the expected higher importance of the fundamentals during the winter months the winter 2008/2009 has been studied separately.

Climate change is one of the most difficult problems that humans have to deal with. Today, the evidence of human effects on the climate change and the rise of temperature on earth are strong. It is extremely important that all countries get together and cooperate in order to be able to solve the problem with climate change. One step in the work on climate changes is the Convention on Climate Change, which was agreed on in 1992. The Convention on Climate Change resulted in the Kyoto Protocol in 1997. The Kyoto Protocol is an agreement between a number of industrialized countries to limit or reduce the green gas emissions.

Göta älvbron, övervakning med optisk fiber : Ekonomisk analys

The Göta älv-bridge is a welded steelbridge which is located in Gothenburg,it connects the inner city of Gothenburgwith the island Hisingen. Cracks wasdiscovered in the steel in 1999-2000which started an investigation of thebridge to clearify the condition of thebridge. The conclusion was a monitoringsystem based on laser light sent throughan optical fiber.This report describes the bridge, thedamages, the monitoring system and thetraffic on the bridge.Stefan Pup, at Vectura Borlänge was mysupervisor during this work. In myinvestigation the costs of themonitoring system and the costs ofclosing the bridge is compared andevaluated. The biggest investigatingpart is the costs of closing the bridge.The results of my investigations is thatclosing the Göta älv-bridge would cost 1107 300 SEK / day.

Beräkning av koldioxidutsläppet från bostadssektorn i Stockholms län

During the last decades the housing sector has increased continuously, and housings and services accounted for 40 % of the energy usage in Sweden during 2011. The expansion in number of buildings in society has resulted in an increase in both energy usage and emissions of greenhouse gases. It is crucial to enable a sustainable development of society and as a result, the demand to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide is a current question. In this study, the carbon dioxide emitted from the housing sector in Stockholm is estimated. The housing sector can be divided into different types of houses such as apartment blocks, single-family houses and holiday houses. By collecting information of the energy purchased in respective households, a computational model is generated that calculates the total emission of carbon dioxide.

Avståndskamera för utomhusbruk: en analys av optisk
triangulering med divergent ljuskälla

Denna rapport analyserar flera aspekter kring avståndsmätning med optisk triangulering, speciellt då ljuskällan ger en relativt bred ljusstråle. Vid optisk triangulering mäts avståndet genom att belysa scenen med ljusstrålar som bildar ljusfläckar där de träffar. Genom att betrakta scenen med en CCD-kamera förskjuten ifrån ljuskällan går det att beräkna avståndet till dessa ljusfläckar. Huvudsyftet är att undersöka möjligheterna att bygga en billig och robust avståndsmätare som skall kunna användas utomhus på en mobil robotplatform. Grundläggande principer såväl som teoretiska modeller beskrivs och analyseras.

With increasing energy prices and increased focus on the environment we saw the need for companies to get control over their energy use and their emission of carbon dioxid. An analysis tool that integrates both these areas is, with our knowledge, not available on the market today. Therefore, our project became to develop such a tool.By doing this degree project we would like to clarify that energy consumption and environmental impact are integrated. The less energy consumed by today?s society the smaller the environmental impact will be.

Importance of mire plant community composition when estimating ecosystem level methane emission

Metan är en stark växthusgas som är viktig att ta med i beräkningarna när det gäller klimatförändringar. Feedback från myrmarker vid en ökad temperatur i samband med klimatförändringar har diskuterats, bland annat eftersom myrmarker är en källa för metan till atmosfären. Det finns många faktorer som påverkar metanemission, och en av dom är vegetation. Olika sorts vegetation tros bidra olika mycket till avgivningen av metan. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur stor betydelse det har att ta med olika växtsamhällens sammansättning i beräkningarna för att uppnå korrekta uppskattningar av metanemission från myrmark på ekosystemnivå.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV?s) are nowadays greatly appreciated. The advantage over manned airplanes are great since UAV?s can be much smaller and therefore lighter. The goal of this project is to evaluate the performance of an environmentally friendly UAV using only lithium-ion batteries.

Methane emission from nitrate-treated tannin rich feed for cattle in Vietnam

In developing countries such as Vietnam the population consumes more animal products for example milk and meat than before which requires greater livestock production. Ruminants contributes to more methane emission which creates a dilemma between food production and its environmental impact. By feeding ruminants with nutritive crops which humans can not assimilate the animal performance will increase in terms of better growth and milk production without inpinging on food that can be consumed directly by humans. Increasing animal performance reduces methane emission in terms of amount of methane in kg-1 milk and meat which today is much greater in developing countries than developed countries. The aim of the study was to investigate tropical tannin-rich legumes for their potential as a feed supplement for ruminants made in vitro.

Nutrient enrichment is the main cause of the increasing eutrophication process in the Baltic Sea during last century. A prerequisite counteract this process the load of nutrients to the Sea must be investigated. The large contribution of nutrients to the Sea is caused by emission from the rivers within the drainage basin. For the total emission of nutrient into the Sea the retention process in the rivers has big influence. This process in the river system has been assumed as a not important part of the nutrient cycle.

Bulleremissioner från vertikalaxlade vindkraftverk

Wind power in Sweden is expanding in response to the government's decision that 49% of Sweden's power should originate from renewable energy sources by the year 2020. Problems with noise and sound emissions related to wind turbines are a constant argument against the wind power expansion and this paper means to examine if vertical axis wind turbines might be a viable alternative to the conventional horizontal design for noise sensitive areas. In order to determine factors like difference in frequency, noise propagation and noise emission level, measurements of both horizontal and vertical axis wind turbines have been completed and the data analyzed with MATLAB. It is shown that there is a difference in how the noise from the two types of turbines propagates due to avariation in the frequency spectra of the emitted sound. It is also shown that vertical axis wind turbines generate a lower sound emission with less intensity inthe lower frequencies..
