This thesis aims to identify bottlenecks in the internal communication of aSwedish public library. Specifically, it addresses the behaviour of the library staff when they seekfor work-oriented information through interaction with their colleagues. A fundamental assumptionof this study is that the information-seeking process depends on organisational culture. I have madean exploratory case study in a medium-sized Swedish public library, where relevant issues areidentified and correlated with the culture of the organisation.I have used Schein's three-level model to describe the culture of the library; this model definesculture as a set of basic assumptions and the actions of people as expressions of their culture. Datafor the study were gathered using several approaches, including interviews with the library staff andobservations of them.

Perioperativ omvårdnad är de vårdhandlingar och vårdaktiviteter som utförs av en anestesi- och operationssjuksköterska under de pre-, intra- och postoperativa fa-serna i samband med en patients operation. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa patienters upplevelser av perioperativ omvårdnad med inriktning mot peri-operativ dialogmodell. Forskningsprocessen inspirerades av Goodmans sju steg och metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie som grundade sig på tio veten-skapliga artiklar. Som teoretisk referensram har Orlandos omvårdnadsteori an-vänts. Resultatet visade att när den perioperativa omvårdnaden var organiserad enligt perioperativ dialogmodell upplevde patienterna bland annat att sjuksköters-kan hade tid för dem, operationen var något de skulle genomföra tillsammans och sjuksköterskan upplevdes se patienten som en resurs.

It is important for firms to continually develop their offerings as the business landscape develops in order to sustain their competitiveness (e.g. Schumpeter, 1934; Ansoff, 1979; Porter, 1985; Trott, 2012). In a context of globalization, rapid technology development and changing customer needs, the paper packaging industry is urged to enhance its product development activities (Hansen & Niskanen, 2007; Björkdahl & Börjesson, 2011). However, there is little research about paper packaging firms? product development processes (ibid).

The digitalization of the media industry has involved great changes for the Swedish daily press. Instead of subscribing on a daily newspaper, more people tend to read newspaper's free edition online.  The recent recession has contributed to strike hard against the newspaper's economy. This is the problem our research is based upon. How will the newspaper develop and which measures have to be done to get a well functioning business model that is suited for future conditions?We have made qualitative interviews with Swedish newspapers: Göteborgs-Posten, Norrköpingstidningen, Sydsvenskan and with the danish newspaper Politiken.

This qualitative study is about the individual supportive conversation with the school welfare officer in upper secondary school. The main aim of the study was to find out what the pupils get out of a series of conversations with the school welfare officer and what it means for the pupils that the welfare officer belongs to the school organization. Six qualitative interviews were held with pupils who had conversation contact with the school welfare officer during their time at upper secondary school.I found that these pupils and welfare officers were oriented towards change and solutions. I found that the most important thing for the pupils was to achieve a good and trusting relationship with the welfare officer. After this the pupil starts a process of change in cooperation with the welfare officer, with the aim that the pupil should be happy and satisfied with the current life situation.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how a context-specific form of abstracting of fiction film developed in relation to the cultural policy of Internationella biblioteket IB, theoretically can be motivated and practically shaped. The background of the cultural policy of IB is analysed and theoretical standpoints and problematic aspects regarding subject representation discussed. Theories which claim intersubjectivity as an ideal for subject representation and searches for objectivity in the process of subject analysis are criticised in light of the concept of interpretation as the only means to produce meaning and subjects in relation to fiction. Birger Hjørlands context-oriented theories of subject representation are used to theoretically motivate the context-specific form of abstracting. To suggest how a practical framework for abstracting can be created, film theoretical models of interpretation are examined in relation to the field of subject analysis and formal criteria of abstracting.

Ett av de hetaste ämnen inom dagens IT-industri är SOA ? Service Oriented Architecture ? . Många av de aktiva debatterna handlar om hur SOA bidrar till att öka organisationernas flexibilitet och känslighet för förändring, något som historiskt har varit svårt att uppnå. Men hur många kan påstå sig veta vad SOA egentligen är? Termen har blivit ett så kallat ?buzzword?, dvs.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how theoretical investment appraisal techniques are applied in an investment driven company, regarding investments in fixed assets. The aim is also to investigate on what grounds the choices of techniques are justified, and what consequences these choices have on the overall investment appraisal. The study is designed as a case study of Divisionen, a production unit of a market leading company in Sweden, which is kept anonymous in this thesis. The empirical data consists of interviews with company employees and internal documents, including decision support for seven approved investment projects. The interviewees were chosen based on their role in the investment decision making process.

Inom området ledarskap studerade vi litteraturen för att få en uppfattning rörande begreppet ledare. Under genomgång påträffades även begreppet coach vilket väckte vårt intresse. Syftet med undersökningen blev att utreda innebörden i begreppen ledare respektive coach samt att jämföra och analysera dessa ur ett empiriskt och teoretiskt perspektiv. Metoden vi använde var kvalitativ och ledde till en djupgående forskning inom arbetslivets uppfattning om begreppen. Insamlingen av data gjordes i form av en kvalitativ enkätundersökning som sedan bearbetades i form av en tematisering.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen var att belysa hur ledningen i bemanningsföretag ger stöd till anställda genom feedback. Uppsatsen börjar med att vi tydliggör ett praktiskt problem som är vanligt förekommande inom bemanningsföretag. Vi illustrerar detta problem med en figur som åskådliggör en distans mellan bemanningsföretagen och dess anställda. Den här distansen kan emellertid leda till bristfällig kommunikation mellan parterna och för att minska sannolikheten att detta uppstår, kan ledaren i ett företag stödja de anställda genom att ge feedback. I teorikapitlet utgår vi från en modell som visar de faktorer som bör beaktas, det vill säga 360-gradersfeedback, coachning, uppmuntran till dialog, självkontroll samt lärande organisation.

Bakgrund: Det inträffar cirka 18 000 höftfrakturer i Sverige varje år och det antalet stiger med en allt äldre befolkning. En god smärtlindring efter operation leder till minskat lidande och kortare vårdtider. Syfte: Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka hur sjuksköterskor kan bedöma postoperativ smärta hos patienter med höftfraktur. Metod: En litteraturstudie där 10 artiklar granskats och sammanställts. Resultat: Det finns många olika instrument för smärtbedömning.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate international students? views regarding information seeking and use of information sources. A further aim is also to investigate the possible factors influencing information seeking in relation to everyday life for international students. Interviews were carried out with eight international students, 20-35 years old from three continents. They were to stay in Sweden for at least five months for the purpose of studying.

The aim with the study is to get an understanding of why pupils read literature in upper secondary school from four Swedish teachers´ thoughts and attitudes towards fiction in upper secondary school. Some of the theoretical starting points that lay as a foundation to the study are Lpf 94, the curriculum for Swedish and different literature oriented researchers as Lars-Göran Malmgren´s subject construction, Louise M. Rosenblatt´s transaction theory, Jan Nilsson´s view on fiction as a source of pleasure and a source of knowledge and Gunilla Molloy´s dialectal questions. To reach the aim in question qualitative interviews with four Swedish teachers in upper secondary school were carried through. The result shows that the teachers see the literature?s part in school as meaningful and claims that it deserves to have an even higher value in all subjects, not only in the subject Swedish.

This essay focuses on different aspects of the concept of freedom of speech. The purpose is to examine the opinions and thoughts that upper secondary school students have on rights, responsibilities and limitations when it comes to freedom of speech, and to investigate theirschool experiences of the mentioned freedom. Focus groups have been used as method and two group interviews have been conducted, one at a vocational and the other at an academic upper secondary school. Overall, nine students from the third grade participated in the interviews.The essay's results show that the students believe that everyone in society should have theright to be heard, whether you have extreme or divergent opinions. The interviewed studentsexpresses that all people have great responsibility for their opinions, however that, opinionsdiffer on how to interpret the concept of responsibility.

Sveriges allt större internationella åtaganden i kombination med den av riksdagen antagna solidaritetsförklaringen gör att behovet av att kunna genomföra expeditionära operationer ökar. Försvarsmaktens mål är att stärka denna förmåga. Ett sätt att öka verkningsgraden i en multinationell operation är att verka för interoperabilitet. Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera hur uttryck av interoperabilitetskrav återfinns i styrdokument för expeditionära operationer i Försvarsmakten med fokus på Nordic Battlegroup och dess transportförmåga.Studiens resultat är att interoperabilitetskrav existerar i styrdokument för expeditionära operationer men att dessa krav kunde härledas bättre vilket skulle kunna leda till en bättre förståelse för verksamheten vilket gynnar interoperabilitet.Studien föreslår även vissa förbättringar som kan göras avseende begreppet interoperabilitet vilket skulle kunna leda till ytterligare stärkt interoperabilitet..
