The purpose of this study was to investigate, through a qualitative survey, the need of knowledge and strategy in organisations today and tomorrow. The empirical investigation is built on a semi structured interview that was conducted on nine different companies in Gislaveds community. The companies were from three different branches namely: tree, metal and polymer. Three interviews were conducted in each branch.The result from the interviews showed that the globalisation had put the companies under hard competition which had made the need for rationalisation and effectivness more apparent. Having said this, the demands on the organisation and the individuals within it will constantly increase.

The working alliance between therapist and client has been proven important for the treatment outcome in psychotherapy, as well as the therapist?s characteristics. The aim of the current study was to examine the experience of important characteristics when forming a working alliance, among psychotherapy trainees. Eight psychotherapy trainees at Umeå University were interviewed and the material was analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Characteristics described as positively impacting the working alliance were interested, empathic, warm, genuine, secure, flexible and accepting.

Arbetet syftar till att genom en litteraturstudie samt ett antal kortare intervjuer som skickas ut via e-post göra en grundläggande undersökning av CFRP (Carbon fibre reinforced polymers) därtill hur användningen av förstärkningsmetoderna ser ut idag. Rapporten skall ta upp hur projektörer bör arbeta när de träffar på produkter som är nya på marknaden.Att förstärka betongkonstruktioner med kolfiberförstärkning har blivit allt mer vanligt under de senaste åren. Även stålband eller stålbalkar används för att förstärka bjälklag och liknande konstruktionselement. Anledningen till att en byggnad eller annan typ av konstruktion måste förstärkas kan bero på ett flertal olika saker, bland annat om byggnadens användningsområde ändras.Kolfiberförstärkning är i jämförelse med stål mycket starkt i förhållande till sin vikt. Tunna förstärkningar gör stor skillnad.

Article 4.1(h) in the Rome I regulation establishes which law that will be applicable on contracts concerning financial instruments concluded in multilateral systems. The main problem is that most contracts concluded within these systems have standard clauses which contain a clause on the applicable law. If this is the case, Article 3.1 in the Rome I Regulation is applicable instead. This problem makes it difficult to find a need for article 4.1(h) if it will only be applicable in exceptional cases. However, the legal position on this matter is still unclear since the Rome I Regulation has just been put into force.

GE Healthcare operates in Uppsala (Sweden) and develops systems, equipments and medium to purify medical substances. Discussions with the local authority concerning planed far-reaching changes and upgrades of the biological process techniques for sewage management, aroused the question about revising the terms of permit for the activity. Therefore it seemed necessary to evaluate a newly installed biological process technique, which is the background of this thesis. The evaluated biological treatment process was built in 2003 and consists of a biological reactor filled with moving bed carriers with a high surface area for biological growth. At the time of the project the biological wastewater treatment plant consisted of a flow equalization facility and two following parallel biological processes; a biological reactor with moving bed carriers and a tower trickling filter.The aim of this thesis was to survey the function of the biological reactor with respect to the reduction of organic matter.

In this essay I have studied how the film industry in the USA has worked with history in movies ever since the birth of film. I have also studied if Swedish teenagers are influenced by the contemporary reflections often showed in these movies. Furthermore I discussed how to work with contemporary reflections on film in a classroom.In these studies I used a group of teenager in the eight-grade. I stated of by asking the teenagers a verity of questions about movies and their interests in movies. Afterwards I showed them four different scenes from two different movies which all included reflections to today?s society.

The ability of a dog to perform some kind of practical work, for example hunting or herding, depends among other things on its behavioural characteristics. In animal breeding it is not always easy though to select for behavioural traits. It may, for example, be difficult to identify traits that are not only heritable but also of importance for the dogs' ability to perform the practical work of interest. Moreover, it is often difficult to accomplish accurate measurements of behavioural traits. When selecting dogs for breeding, it is usually preferable to evaluate them using an objective and standardized bahavioural test, rather than results from field trials.

This paper is a study of documentary film production with focus on the filmmakers choice and usage of sound equipment. Using professional articles and literature have first of all helped us determine a standard for the conventional use of sound equipment in documentary film. Afterwards, by analyzing our own interviews we?ve received answers on how filmmakers relate to the conventional usage and why they select equipment as they do. Thereafter, we describe a technical method which helps a filmmaker to be able to record sound for documentary film on his/her own, using simple measures without reducing quality.

With an EU license it is difficult for members of the EU to refuse a company to offer a gambling supply on the Internet if they don?t have an open license system. This paper tries to acknowledge the problem regarding the monopoly Sweden has today and calculate the effect if Sweden would move to a license system regarding online gambling by doing a cost benefit analysis.

Iwanted to invesitigate light and lighting, and create a productthat can change the mood and experience of a spatial enviromentwith light. Questions I asked myself was: How do I relateto the spatial limitations that arise? How can I, with light asmy tool, give form to an immaterial value or state of mind?Will the object that illuminates be the most important factorof communication and meaning when I want to tell a story, oris it the light itself?The result became a chest of drawers that is lighted up frominside when you open the drawers. It serves a function as a unitfor storage of objects, but also makes us reflect of the importanceof objects, of how we define a spatial enviroment, andwhat we consider as private spaces in our home..

Förslaget att slopa revisionsplikten för små företag i Sverige är ett högaktuellt ämne som berör många olika grupper i samhället så som revisionsbyråer, små företag, kreditgivare och Skatteverket. I april 2008 lämnades ett delbetänkande från Statens Offentliga Utredningar som föreslår att 96,5 procent av Sveriges företag ska tillåtas att slopa revision. Uppsatsen fokuserar på hur stora revisionsbyråers verksamhet kommer att påverkas eller redan har påverkats av en lagförändring samt hur arbetsfördelningen mellan redovisning och revision förväntas förändras. Författarna har intervjuat revisorer på Sveriges fyra största revisionsbyråers lokala kontor i Jönköping. För att få en uppfattning om hur branschen anpassar sig till lagförslaget presenteras information om auktoriserade redovisningskonsulter och Standard för redovisningskonsulter samt att förhållandet mellan redovisning och revision förklaras.

Companies today are exposed to a turbulent market with fierce competition and the ability toinnovate itself becomes increasingly important. But what innovation is and how it is managed is farfrom obvious. In this case study at EVRY the research questions are: ?What is innovation in ITconsultant companies?? and ?how can innovation be managed in IT consultant companies?? ITconsultancy is a complex type of business and their focus is often to innovate the customers businessrather than their own. The study is based on a literature review, field studies, unstructuredinterviews and an interpretive analysis.

Sverige hade under 1800-talet mycket låg standard på bostäder, det var trångbott och ohygieniskt. Industrialiseringen orsakade urbanisering och bostadssituationen i landets storstäder var oduglig.År 1965 blev startskottet för genomförandet av miljonprogrammet vilket innebar att en miljon bostäder skulle byggas under en tioårsperiod. Målet med programmet var att trångboddheten och bostadsbristen skulle byggas bort.Idag har de tidigare problemen med bostadsbrist har återigen uppstått och situationen har blivit mer och mer kritisk i Sveriges större städer, särskilt i Storstockholm.Det är framförallt tre faktorer som påverkar bostadsutformningen; politik, ekonomi och familjekonstellationer. Utifrån dessa faktorer presenteras förslag på fyra typer av flexibla framtida.
