Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur människor upplever att ständigt vara tillgänglig med sin mobiltelefon och/eller Internet. En kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer har använts, där tolv personer, sex gymnasieungdomar och sex vuxna personer, har intervjuats. Hälften av de intervjuade bor i södra Sverige, hälften i norra. För analysen har McQuails grupperingar inom Uses and gratifications-teorin använts, liksom cultural studies teorier. Resultatet visar att de intervjuade ser det både som en möjlighet och ett krav att vara tillgängliga och uppkopplade, att Internet och mobiltelefon verkar bidra till att arbete/skola och fritid flyter ihop samt att de äldre intervjuade i något högre grad än de yngre upplever negativa aspekter av att vara ständigt tillgänglig.

Sweden has a long tradition of collecting documents by way of a process of legal deposit of copies. Its aim is to ensure the availability of material for research, cultural preservation and citizens? right to free information. New forms of publications, made possible by technical advances, are not accommodated in the traditional deposit submission criteria. Certain information accordingly risks being lost.

In this paper I will examine the five Pussy Riot music videos that the group has published online on their official You Tube website. I will examine them through a ?gender lens? looking at their visual representations of gender vis-à-vis the hegemonic gender discourse in Russia. In addition I will examine their potential effects and if/how these visual representations can be understood as resistance.In my study I will take on a constructionist approach and the main theories being used to understand and analyze the Pussy Riot music videos are discourse- and representational theory including deconstruction, performativity and the social construction of gender as well as ?in-between? and deviant representations.

Internet's entry into our home has changed our communication capabilities. As a result more and more services in the digital world are available. Besides e.g. shopping, gaming and general information, different social networks now offer preventive and therapeutic health-oriented services. When being asked by several young people, with whom I have been working in a clinical setting, to offer conversations over the Internet that enables both to see and to hear each other in real time, I decided to conduct a pilot study which is presented in this paper. The aim was to investigate the feasibility of offering supportive therapy using video calls over the Internet.

With the increased volume of commercial content online, some news sites have adopted so-called native advertising on their websites to convey marketing messages more discreetly. As an increased share of advertising budgets is spent on this form of advertising this essay aims to examine its news consumer?s attitudes towards the phenomenon. The research was carried out through a qualitative study where news consumers discussed their attitudes in two separate focus groups. This was analyzed with the help of the previous studies Advertisement - an uninvited guest? and Banner Blindness as well as theories including theory of science hermeneutics, reception analysis, convergence culture, brand schema, advertising schema and ad- brand attitude.The results show that in most cases native advertising is met with indifferent attitudes but in some cases also confusion, which could lead to negative attitudes towards the ad and the news site.

Since the beginning of the 1990s, Swedish society has gone through a great change. Firstly with the personal computer and then with the internet moving in to everyday life, a new arena for interaction with society evolved. Work, education, doing bank errands and reading or discussing the news, just to name a few, now all take place in the virtual world online. Not to mention social media sites such as twitter, instagram or facebook, the last of which has over half of the Swedish population represented as members.   Companies, corporations, interest groups, political parties and politicians must be aware of the massive impact that a post spread through social media can have.    This thesis will, with the text analyzing tool, argumentation analysis, and on the theoretical platform of political communications theory, analyze three of the most viral Swedish political posts spread over 120 000 times each, to see if there are any combined qualities that point to the fact that there is a formula for getting a post to become a viral success on social media.    The main result showed that of the three posts analyzed, all were built up around a factual thesis, argued for with foremost example arguments, not only appealing to the logical branch of argumentation but also to the ethical, and that they tended to be of high relevance and sustainability. The conclusion must therefore be that these are all qualities that tend to be of relevance for making a political post on social media into a viral success..

The main aim of this master thesis was to see the process of an interactive online reference service from idea to final product. The reference service we have studied is developed and used by the Library of the National Institute for Working Life in Stockholm, Sweden and goes by the name phibi. Our goal was to review the whole realization process from the reasons why a service like this was created, how the service was introduced and implemented inside the organisation and finally what the result and consequences were for both the library staff and for the users of the service. Phibi is designed to be a tool that fosters communication between the library staff and the remote users where the users get the opportunity to be helped with their questions by the library staff although they are not physically present in the library. To understand the process we conducted a case study with 11 interviews of the library staff, the superior and the initiator to phibi.

This report shows a qualitative study on how six young adults in the ages between 20-30 who are students at Linnaeus University in Kalmar percieve their news consumption habits and their use of news media on digital platforms. The aim of the study is to examine whether the six students feel the strogest connection with the press where they were raised or where they currently live, why they choose to use the media platforms they do and what meaning the use of the media bare to the students. We have seen a lack of information concerning why young people choose to consume news online instead of in printed media.The study is focused on theories concerning what affects people in their choice of media platforms and channels. This report shows that geographic nature, the quality of the content and which political ideology the daily press is founded on does not affect the respondents choice of media. Our study shows that the most important factor for the respondents is that the platform is easily accesssible and flexible.

Under mina åtta år som elgitarrist har jag alltid i ensemblesammanhang spelat tillsammans med ytterligare minst ett ackordinstrument. Det har resulterat i att jag alltid anpassat mitt spel till vad de övriga ackordinstrumenten har spelat, för att skapa ett luftigt och bra arrangemang. Att spela i en mindre ensemble bestående av trummor, bas och elgitarr innebär en ny utmaning för mig som elgitarrist. Genom att välja ut fyra låtar och arbeta med dem utifrån tre specifika frågeställningar har jag i detta arbete undersökt mitt elgitarrspelande i denna mindre sättning. På grund av omständigheter som uppstod under arbetets gång, tillkom även en femte låt.

Den nya undervisningsmetoden Flippat Klassrum är ett alternativ till den traditionella undervisningsmetod som för närvarande dominerar matematikundervisningen. I Flippat Klassrum ser eleverna på en förberedd föreläsning online redan innan de kommer till lektionen så att arbetet där går direkt på förståelse av det förelästa, sakdiskussioner och hjälp med problemlösning.Syftet med interventionsstudien är att att introducera undervisningsmetoden Flippat Klassrum och därefter undersöka elevers reaktioner till undervisningsmetoden. Följande frågeställningar besvarades:1. Hur påverkas elevers åsikter om matematikundervisning av interventionen med Flippat Klassrum?2.

Syftet med denna studie är att belysa och undersöka hur individer med diagnosen ADHD upplever att det är att leva med ADHD och hur de upplever att deras funktionsnedsättning har påverkat deras identitet och tillhörighet till omgivningen och om tidpunkten för diagnostiseringen har påverkat deras identitet och upplevelser av tillhörighet. Jag vill även undersöka hur vanligt förekommande det är att dessa individer med ADHD någonsin har upplevt sig bli stigmatiserade av samhället på grund av sin diagnos. Jag har genom att utföra halvstrukturerade livsvärldsintervjuer försökt att få svar på dessa frågor och med hjälp av socialpsykologiska teorier så som Vanessa Mays teori om tillhörighet, Erving Goffmans teori om Stigma och Jonas Stiers och Anthony Giddens perspektiv på identitetsteorin och även med hjälp av ett antal vetenskapliga artiklar analyserat mitt insamlade empiriska material. De individer som jag har intervjuat bor i olika delar av Sverige utan någon relation till varandra, varav två av dessa intervjuer utfördes genom video-chattprogrammet Skype på grund av avståndet mellan oss. Alla respondenter är vuxna individer i åldrarna 24-60 och de hade många erfarenheter av att leva med funktionsnedsättningen ADHD.

Vi kommer i denna antologi belysa ungdomars livsvillkor och identitetsskapande i dagens samhälle. De olika bidragen har sin grund i ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv, där vi utgår ifrån att vi skapar vår identitet i interaktion med andra. Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod där vi genom observationer och intervjuer har samlat in vår empiri. Empirin har sedan analyserats enligt Grundad teori. Den första studien Raised in black beskriver identitetsskapande genom en subkultur, varför man väljer att tillhöra en subkultur och varför man väljer att lämna den bakom sig.

In some criminal cases, the only existing evidence is the verbal statement of a witness or the plaintiff. The typical example is an alleged rape where victim and perpetrator have had some kind of relation, and their records of the incident differ. In these cases, the assessment of the value of the evidence drawn from the plaintiff's story is of crucial importance. On the one hand, a false positive judgment means that a person is wrongly convicted, on the other hand, a failure to correctly identify a truthful claim of rape means that a victim of a severe crime is left without judicial remedy. That the prosecutor must prove that the crime is committed by the defendant without reasonable doubt, means that there is much more chance of a failure to convict guilty felons, than of the opposite.In the essay, the rules of criminal procedure directed at the evaluation of the verbal statement are identified and critically evaluated from the perspective of how they may or may not facilitate the judgment of a verbal statement presented before the court, either in person, or through other media such as video.

The purpose of this study is to exam how two environmental organizations reason about the loss of biodiversity. The research questions are; what is the view in these organizations regarding biodiversity? What are the underlying environmental discourses behind their reasoning, and how do they reason about the risks associated with the loss of biodiversity? As a first part of this thesis a thorough review of existing literature and online resources about the actions of environmental organizations was conducted. Two organizations were interviewed, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Naturskyddsforeningen. The questions for the study were analyzed in light of Dryzek´s (1997) reasoning about environmental discourses and using the concept of risk by Beck (1998).

Fler och fler webbutiker använder sig utav externa betalningslösningar för att stärka förtroendet hos konsumenter som genomför en direktbetalning.Nätfiske och andra bedragare som utnyttjar konsumenters identiteter online har ökat. Anti-Phishing Work Group som är en branschförening och som inriktar sig på att eliminera identitetsstöld och onlinebedrägerier, har uppmärksammat att antalet nätfiskebedrägerier har ökat med ungefär 4000 % sedan november 2003. (verisign.se) Vi vill med denna studie ta reda på om konsumenter påverkas av osäkerheten kring betalning vid shopping via Internet och i så fall på vilket sätt.För att få fram det resultat som vi eftersträvar använder vi oss av en enkät samt användartester där vi ställer en fingerad sida mot den officiella sidan för företag i fråga. Användaren fick därefter välja ut den sida som de anser vara den officiella sidan.
