This master?s thesis problematizes how students in two Swedish secondary schools think and speak about, and relate to, topics such as gender, class, ethnicity, religion and sex, but also how they move in, make use of, and interact within, the school space. What categorizing and positionings, if any, can be found? Students in two Swedish secondary schools, in a medium sized Swedish town, have been observed (using participant observation) and interviewed (open ended), the material was then examined with intersectional theory. A majority of the ethnic Swedish respondents position ?the religious? as ?superstitious?, ?frightening? and/or ?backwards?, also many of them equated religion with ?muslim/islam?, a greater understanding for the others religious outlook was shown by students with an ethnic background from outside Europe.

Jag har länge haft ett intresse för islam i Iran. För att komma närmre och förstå detta ämne så har jag valt att analysera romanen Huset vid moskén från 2008 av Kader Abdolah, som utspelar sig i Iran under tiden för den islamiska revolutionen 1978-79. Jag kommer att titta på hur religionen fungerar för några av karaktärerna och hur de olika funktionerna förändras genom revolutionen. För att kunna analysera detta kommer jag att studera religionens olika funktioner samt Irans politiska och religiösa historia. I analysen resonerar jag kring tre karaktärer som representerar tre olika förhållningssätt till religion: inre andlighet, religion som vägen till acceptans och våldsamt religionsförtryck..

Detta examensarbete undersöker kvinnors närvaro i både text och bilder i kursböckernai religion i grundskolans senare år (årskurs 7-9) för Sverige. Det undersöks ochanalyseras i minst tre läroböcker som används i grundskolan i Sverige. Kursplanengällande religionskunskap i grundskolan ska studeras och den ska jämföras medböckernas innehåll.Genussystemet av Yvonne Hirdman och diskursanalys av Göran Bergström, KristinaBoréus och Michel Foucault står i centrum för mina teorier. Hirdman analyserarmaktprocesser, det vill säga dikotomi där det manliga inte blandas med det kvinnliga ochhierarkin som visar vad normen är. Bergström och Boréus säger att det finns ettregelsystem som visar människor vilket sätt de ska prata och agera på.

Our purpose was to investigate if Swedish University educated social workers, living as active Christians, in any way might be influenced by Christian values. The main questions; Can Christian values be a factor in the choice of career to become a social worker? How does a personal belief in Christ impact the relationship towards the clients? Is Christian belief a support in the work? In this paper we used a qualitative method and interviewed eight persons, with a background as above, four of them employed by a church organisation and the other four working in the social sector. The result we present is that the eight Christian social workers Christian belief influenced their work very individually. How much this supported them was a choice about how official and open they wanted Christian values to be.

Syftet med undersökningen har varit att få en bild av hur kristendomen som religion samt hur kristna identiteter framställs i svensk press. Undersökningen är en textanalys av ett antal artiklar där jag har undersökt vilka olika, eller lika, bilder som dags- och kvällstidningar ger av kristendomen och kristna i Sverige idag. Utifrån teorier om ?den andre? har jag undersökt om artiklarna framställer någon form av ?vi?- och ?de?- perspektiv mellan kristna och ?icke-kristna?. Syftet har också varit att försöka utskilja vilka retoriska grepp som används i framställningen av kristendomen och kristna.Undersökningens frågeställningar är:Hur framställs kristendomen i artiklarna?Hur konstrueras kristna identiteter i artiklarna?Hur ser relationen ut mellan skribent och läsare?Vilka retoriska grepp används i framställningen av kristendom och kristna?.

Göbekli Tepe is an 11000 year old religious center where Totem has been exercised. It was raised by megalithic hunters and collectors that still during the construction lived in small-scaled mobile groups in order to find food and therefore should not have had time to raised costly stone monuments. The religious center consists of four enclosures with two T-pillars decorated with pictures of different animals and birds. Any dwellings have not been found. The place has been constructed by a well-organized elitist organization that has been capable of raising constructions in order to exercise their religion in a way we did not thought was possible such a long time ago. Analysis and findings from the near east existing from this time shows however that social changes happen in the communities around the region. Can archeological finding from the excavations on the religious center give any answer or clue regarding how man came to develop from hunter and collector to farmer? Do the findings reveal that the religion has changed Mans way to think and organize so that she was prepared to introduce the agriculture that occurs? The thesis explores what is meant by multiculturalism in today's Sweden based on burial grounds and funerals in a minor municipality. This is done through an ethnographic case study of the municipality of Vara. The study aims to investigate how multiculturalism looks and is responded to. The study maps which aspects are placed on multiculturalism in a minor municipality and which adaptations and compromises are highlighted. This is done within the framework of theories concerning multiculturalism and social identity, and the result of the empirical case study is presented by applying the theories to the material. From burial places and funerals, social collective and individual identities are analysed based on the social categories of religion/faith/secularity and place belonging, based on the perspectives of rituals and traditions as well as the location of the grave. The study finds that there are several aspects of multiculture in the burial grounds, as multiculture not only includes cultural influences from immigrants but also the different preferences of the local villages, in combination with the development of society, and Sweden in general.

Möjligheten att fritt få utöva religion kan ses som en mänsklig rättighet men finns det ytterligare anledningar till att vi bör beakta religiositet och andlighet inom vården? Kan det vara så att religiöst engagemang kan vara bra för hälsan?SyfteSyftet var att beskriva hur religiösa och andliga trosföreställningar kan påverka människors hälsotillstånd samt beskriva vad detta kan innebära för människor som drabbats av sjukdom.MetodMetoden som användes var en systematisk litteraturstudie av kvantitativa engelskspråkiga vetenskapliga studier som var publicerade inom de tio senaste åren.ResultatArtiklarna berörde religion och/eller andlighet samt dessa variablers samband med olika hälsoaspekter och olika sjukdomstillstånd. I de nitton artiklarna gick det att utläsa trettiotvå olika resultat, då andlighet och religiositet ofta undersöktes separat fick många studier fler än ett resultat.

This paper investigates the presentation of Islam in textbooks used in the study of religion in high schools. The papers focus on two main questions concerning the ways in which Islam is presented in the analysed textbooks, and how the new curriculum has influenced the portrayal of Islam in the materials. Here, the paper utilizes a method of critical discourse analysis with Faircloughs three-dimensional analysis. The paper then concludes that the presentation of Islam is negative in nature, with the content and view of Islam having been simplified and stereotyped. Often the textbooks studied frame Islam as being an aggressive and oppressive religion, especially in matters con-cerning women.

The first aim of this study is to examine what the differences are between the Classic directive (directive 2004/18/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 March 2004 on the coordination of procedures for the award of public works contracts, public supply contracts and public service contracts) and the Revised Classic directive (directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the council of 26 February 2014 on public procurement and repealing Directive 2004/18/EC) when it comes to social considerations in public procurement. The second aim is to examine if the revision of the directive has solved the prior existing problems regarding social considerations in public procurement. In this paper a traditional European legal method is used. The examinations show a number of things, including the Revised Classic directive involving codification of case law, references to other sources of law and some clarified rules as well as new provisions. The regulations regarding reserved contracts, technical specifications, and selection criterion are satisfied in the Revised Classic directive.

The reason behind this essay has been to study if previous research is relevant for Jehovah?s Witnesses in Sweden and see if secularization has affected the organization or not. The empirical material is made from two qualitative group- interviews and open observations during two meetings in the Kingdom Hall. These studies were performed in Oskarshamn and Mönsterås during the month of February. Studiens syfte är att undersöka ungdomars sociala medieanvändande och hur dessa påverkar dem då de är online och offline. Det som studien fokuserar på är införlivande av tillhörighetskänslor, kollektiv självkänsla och bekräftelse via sociala medier hos informanterna. Det är en kvalitativ metod som används i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Resultatet analyseras och kopplas till tidigare forskning samt Richard Jenkins teori om social identitet vilken inkluderar begrepp som grupper, kategorisering, institutionalisering, habitualisation, identifikation, självbild och offentlig image. Även Berger och Luckmanns begrepp face-to-face interaktion och socialisationsprocess används i analysen samt begrepp som berör internetberoende.Det empiriska materialet analyseras enligt hermeneutiska principer, och visar på att alla informanterna tar del av sociala medier varje dag.
