The questions asked were designed to help answering thepurpose of the study.Main results: This study shows that in general there is a positive view of Internet datingamong both groups. They appreciate the opportunities it provides, as they get to knowthe other persons personality first. Even so, it should be noted that they still tend to be abit ashamed to talk about Internet dating, and some don?t want to be associated with it.The communication pattern tend to be pretty much the same among both groups.
E-handel: en studie om konsumenters köpbeteende vid köp av böcker online
The purpose of this thesis is to increase the understanding about consumer buying behaviour when purchasing books online. In order to acquire data for the study we used a questionnaire that 75 students where asked to respond. The respondents were students at the University of Technology in Luleå. Our findings suggest that the following factors are the most commonly cited reasons for deciding to complete the purchase: trust, perceived risk, price, convenience, design of the website and experience. The aim of this study is to identify and analyze the discourse within a gothic online community and examine how they use significant symbols to create themselves as goths and being part of a community. In order to achive this aim, eleven different forum threads were examined to amalyze how the goths created their significant symbols within the online community and through interaction with each other. The results implies that the discourse within the community describes the goths as either true or false goths and that it is important to maintain this boundary.

Som att hälla vatten på en gås! : En kvalitativ studie om att vara religiös på sociala medier
Denna studies huvudsakliga syfte har varit att undersöka och kartlägga hur unga vuxna frånkristna minoritetsförsamlingar i Västerbotten och Norrbotten upplever religiösa kränkningarpå sociala medier. Som bakgrund till denna studie ligger forskning kring sociala medier ochinternets nya status, web 2.0. Metoden för studien har varit kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer,en enskild intervju och två fokusgruppsintervjuer. Till hjälp under intervjuerna har memesanvänds som material. Resultatet av intervjuerna har framställts med ett fenomenologisktteoriperspektiv och visar på att dessa unga kristna upplever religiösa kränkningar online, mensällan gör något åt det.

The Brussels I-Regulation, often referred to as the Jurisdiction Regulation, is said to be the matrix of the European judicial cooperation system within the area of international private law. The Regulation states how jurisdiction is to be determined in an international dispute. The aim of the Regulation is to ensure that parties in a dispute within the EU have access to justice.The Regulation is considered to be working well in general, and have been since it came in-to force in 2007. Although it is held to be well functioning it does not exclude that some improvements might be needed. The commission ordered a review of the Regulation and the result was that some deficiencies were identified.

The purpose of this essay is to examine trust, or lack of trust, in the social services. Previous research considering this topic is limited, which, in our point of view, implies the need of further studies. A quantative method was used, consisting of an online questionnaire containing statements about the social services. The statements were designed using a five level Likert-scale which required the respondent to rate their level of agreement. The questionnaire was published on five webcommunities directed to parents.

In Sweden today, the consumers have the opportunity to use the different sales channels; physical store, online store and brick and click, a combination of both. For the past decade, the use of ecommerce has spread tremendously and the fashion industry is one of the top three industries in this category. This, together with the growth of technology, have created new opportunities for consumers during their online shopping. The purpose of this study is to examine the differences between consumers who use physical store, online store or both. This study aims to look into consumers' shopping habits within these sales channels and factors that are affecting them.

The purpose of the case study is to research whether the brand Hollister can establish themselves to their target audience working with communication. To achieve the goal with the study, the following theories has been applied: brand building, visual communication, two-way symmetrical communication and communication channels. The study was conducted by a quantitative online questionnaire survey. The online survey was aimed at teenagers aged 15-18 years old living in Täby or Umeå where one question was "What difference can be discerned between Täby, where there is a shop, and Umeå where there is no shop". The material was collected during a period of eight days between december 11th to december 19th 2013.
Kvinnor i internationella insatser? : En undersökning om hur kvinnligt deltagande kan påverka internationella insatser.
Kvinnor har sedan 1980 fått tjänstgöra som officer i Sveriges försvarsmakt. Trots detta är fortfarande de kvinnliga officerarna och soldaterna i klar minoritet i organisationen. FN:s säkerhetsråd har arbetat fram två resolutioner som båda strävar efter att involvera kvinnor i större omfattning när det gäller arbeten vid kris, krig och konflikter. Inte enbart att öka andelen kvinnor i hjälpande trupper, utan även involvera lokalbefolkningen. Hur ser då verkligheten ut vid de internationella insatserna? I detta arbete presenteras en fallstudie om MOT Juliette, ett kvinnligt observationsteam som under sju månader tjänstgjorde i Afghanistan.

A helicopter based system equipped with a millimetre-wave fire control radar is studied for improvement of the detection probability for moving ground targets. The system is a pulse doppler radar that sends out the electromagnetic wave in repetitive pulses. The frequency in which radar sends this pulse is called Pulse Repetition Frequency (PRF). The velocity of the moving targets is measured by spectral analysis of the pulses received. With this sort of system some targets will not be possible to detect.

IT-consultants firms are however still related to stressed per-sonnel (Handelskammaren 2004; Hallstedt 2001). Another critical factor is the communication between management and workers.

Fortum has in a pilot project installed metering equipment with wireless communication in secondary substations in Stockholm. So far, the collected data are used only in specific projects.This master thesis was carried out at Fortum Distribution AB in Stockholm during 2013. The purpose of this study is to simplify and enhance the use of data in for example network planning process, by giving suggestions on how data can be managed and giving examples of analyzes that collected data can be used for.The electricity meter which Fortum has installed is a EDMI-Mk10A which is set to measure max/average/min values with a one hour time resolution of the following parameters: voltage (per phase), current (per phase) andactive power and active and reactive energy.In order to analyze the collected data an analysis tool is required. During this thesis two customized tools in Microsoft Excel have been developed, one for sorting data and one for analyzing.One aim of the thesis is to show examples of what collected measurement data can be used for. This work shows an example of analysis of active power, power factor, voltage, occurrence of interrupts and the relationship between outdoor temperature and power.This master thesis has among others resulted in the following advice: Expand the number of secondary substations with measuring equipment.
Att bedöma potentialen i online communities
Bakgrund och problem: Online communities är en färsk bransch där flerauppmärksammade förvärv ägt rum under det senaste året. Värderingen av nya företag påosäkra marknader kan ofta vara svår, i och med osäkerhet vad gäller hur den framtidapotentialen skall bedömas. Uppsatsens frågeställning går ut på att redogöra för hur detta kanske.Syfte: Uppsatsens explorativa syfte går ut på att inhämta så mycket kunskap och informationom ämnet som möjligt, och därigenom sträva efter att kartlägga och synliggöra den potentialoch de risker som finns inom branschen online communities.Avgränsningar: Online communities är en plats där människor träffas virtuellt för attinteragera med varandra. Vi har valt att analysera sociala, relationsfrämjande, onlinecommunities som primärt är riktade mot ungdomar i Norden vars syfte är att utgöra enträffpunkt för allmänt socialt umgänge.Metod: Uppsatsen har ett explorativt undersökningsförfarande, där ett kvalitativttillvägagångssätt begagnats för att inhämta primärdata i form utav intervjuer med analytiker,experter och uppköpare.Analys och slutsatser: Intellektuellt kapital är grunden till värdeskapandet i en onlinecommunity. Att vårda relationer till medlemmarna är av avgörande vikt för framgång.
