This is a literature study in which I investigate if there are scientific studies that form the basis of the Swedish dog world views concerning the spaying of bitches. The positive impacts are said to be reduced problems with pseudopregnancy, reduced risk of pyometra, reduced risk of mammary and uterine tumors, an earlier cease of bone growth, a more active and happier dog and a bitch who is more tolerant of other dogs. The negative consequences are said to be urinary incontinence, increased aggressiveness, lower metabolism and the increased risk of obesity, a more lethargic individual and altered coat.There are studies indicating that spaying reduces behavioral problems associated with heat and pseudopregnancy. Assuming no ovary tissue persists after the procedure, and there is no progesterone production, the risk of pyometra decreases. Early spaying, before the first heat, reduces the risk of mammary tumors.

Att marknadsföra sig på internet via sökmotorer har ökat explosionsartat under det senaste decenniet men är ännu ett relativt nytt och outforskat område inom marknadsföringslitteratur. Trenden pekar på fortsätt ökning i framtiden men exakt vad annonsörer uppskattar mest med denna typ av marknadsföring har ej varit kartlagt. Syftet med denna uppsats var således att identifiera vilka fördelar och nackdelar existerande och potentiella annonsörer till Google i Sverige finner i sökordsmarknadsföring, samt att analysera och rangordna vilka av fördelarna de anser viktigast. Bisyftet var att kartlägga vilka av dessa egenskaper Google kommunicerar om annonseringsprogrammet Google AdWords för att kunna analysera förhållandet mellan vad som kommuniceras och vad som efterfrågas.Teorier kring internetannonsering, marknadsföring online samt fördelar och nackdelar med sökordsmarknadsföring låg till grund för utformning av fyra fördelsdimensioner, nämligen: Målgrupp, Mätbarhet, Kostnadskontroll samt Tid & Flexibilitet. Kvalitativa intervjuer med tre Google-anställda och en representant från mediamarknaden, samt en webbenkät med 224 AdWords-användare blev utgångspunkten för det empiriska materialet.Vid studien framkom att det råder en övergripande överensstämmelse mellan vad som framställs som fördelar med sökordsmarknadsföring i teori och praktik.

Det webbutvecklaren inte behöver tänka på är att ha en egen webbserver, vilket kan vara ett problem för många om dom sitter vid datorer med begränsade rättigheter så att dom inte kan ladda ner och installera en webbserver. Digitizing objects and environments from real world has become an important part of creating realistic computer graphics. Through the use of structured lighting and laser time-of-flight measurements the capturing of geometric models is now a common process. The result are visualizations where viewers gain new possibilities for both visual and intellectual experiences. This thesis presents the reconstruction of the Parthenon temple and its environment in Athens, Greece by using a 3D laser-scanning technique. In order to reconstruct a realistic model using 3D scanning techniques there are various phases in which the acquired datasets have to be processed.

Even though many of these processes are dynamic and constructive, they have also resulted in a need for better and more effective ways of international conflict resolution. This thesis investigates central issues connected to the concept of humanitarian interventions in relation to current and future legislation of the European Union. The overall question is whether the rapid globalization process has resulted in a change of international law towards more liberal view where authorization of the security council is not always needed? And, if there has actually been such a liberalization, how does that affect the legal possibilities for the European Union to carry out armed operations without the consent of the global community?The conclusion of the thesis is that international law has been modified mainly in two aspects: First, the concept of sovereignty is no longer seen merely as a right of the nation, but also as a responsibility.

Märkbart är hur det via social media sprids budskap med starka argument som belyserden problematik många människor upplever med tiggeriet. Via social media skapas uppslutningar med olika mål, som växer och frodas i nätets öppna rum. Syftet med vår studie är att få en förståelse för vad en sammanslutning av människor, i detta fall ett Facebook evenemang, kan generera i form av kommunikativ praktik samt vilken inverkan social media kan ha i frågan om dess förmåga att sprida ett budskap.

This qualitative study examines how users of boardgamegeek.com chooses which analogue game to buy. The purpose of the study is to find out which factors constitutes the choice of games and how the information of these factors reach the consumer. The investigation is executed by users of boardgamegeek.com explaining their latest game purchase in a questionnaire survey online. The results show that many of the respondents research the games they are interrested in beforehand and based on this information make their choice. Despite of this we can see that many game developers and distributors does not make this information available for the consumers, but leaves this task to the public..

Denna uppsats undersöker relationen mellanSveriges bostadsköpares sökbeteende på Sveriges utan tvekan största bostadssöksajt Hemnetoch Riksbankens räntebesked.Genom att analysera det totala antalet sökningar gjorda på bostadsrätter, hus och fritidshus vidav Riksbanken rapporterade räntehöjningar, räntesänkningar samt en lämnad oförändradreporänta försöker författarna se om sökbeteendet ändras. Sökbeteendet fyller funktionen aven ny möjlig indikator för efterfrågan på den Svenska bostadsmarknaden. Den statistik somundersöks sträcker sig från tidsperioden april 2011 till april 2013.Resultatet av studien visar att Riksbankens räntebeslut, oavsett karaktär, inte ger någon effektpå antalet sökningar.

Kriget i Tjetjenien utbröt 1994, som en följd av tjetjenernas krav på självständighet. Den tjetjenska sidan karaktäriseras idag av två vitt skilda drag, civilbefolkningens krigströtthet och de islamistiska extremisternas oförtröttliga kamp med terroristiska metoder. Ryssland å andra sidan håller hårt på sin territoriella rätt och situationen är därmed låst.Vi har, i en teorikonsumerande fallstudie, genomfört en analys av konfliktens drivkrafter utifrån den teori om konfliktlösning som kallas conflict resolution. Denna teori betonar vikten av att konflikten kommit in i ett så kallat ripe moment, för att kunna uppnå en lösning. För att freden skall bli bestående, är det av största vikt att de bakomliggande problemen blir lösta.Anledningen till att Tjetjenienkonflikten fortfarande pågår, är att den inte kommit in i ett ripe moment ännu.

AbstractPurpose/Aim: In my essay I study the use of Internet with information overload as my perspective. I compare two age groups in order to find out whether there is a difference between generations in how they use the Internet and experience the vast amount of information that is found on the net.Material/Method: I gather information from six frequent World Wide Web users to find out whether they are experiencing information overload when using the Internet in their spare time and how they structure and make sense of the vast amount of information that is found on the net. I use semi-structured interviews to gather qualitative, not quantitative, material for my study. I have also used literature and websites on information overload, the Internet, and connected themes in order to get a broader picture of the subject and help me analyse the material.Main results: The main results of my study are that frequent Internet users do not feel that they suffer from the vast amount of information found on the World Wide Web. They rather enjoy it and if they have heard the term information overload they assume that it does not apply to their use of the Internet.

Bitcoin is a digital currency that is used by people all around the world. The goal of this paper is to give an idea about how much trust there is in bitcoin among its users. This paper has used an online survey aimed at bitcoinusers and a content analysis to collect data about this trust.The conclusions show that there seems to be some trust in bitcoin as a technology and this is based on that the users have a good understanding about how bitcoin works. They also share their knowledge about bitcoin to people around them. The trust between people in the bitcoin network on the contrary doesn?t seem as high because certain technological properties hurt this trust.

I oktober år 2000 antog FN:s säkerhetsråd resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325) som behandlar kvinnor, fred och säkerhet. Detta var första gången kvinnors status i säkerhetspolitik behandlades på högsta internationella nivå, och resolutionen är delvis en produkt av lobbyarbete gjort av kvinnors NGO:s. Denna studie ämnar undersöka vilka potential UNSCR 1325 har för uppluckrandet av ojämlika mönster i könspositioner som finns inom fältet för fred och säkerhet. Studien består av en idéanalys och en praktisk analys som görs utifrån tre dimensioner ur feministisk teori. Analysen visar att de idéer resolutionen vilar på inte utmanar de rådande snäva mönster i könspositioner som finns i dagens säkerhetspolitik och har därför heller inte potential att göra det praktiskt.
