The purpose of this study is to analyze which communication strategies andinformation- and communication channels that Gällivare municipality should useunder the urban transformation to communicate with the citizens. The studyconcentrates on the age-groups 16 ? 24, 25 ? 44, 45 ? 64 and people that are 65 yearsand Older. This selection has been made as a segmentation of the citizens and is oneof the essay questions which refers to study the channels that each age-groups prefer.The study is a quantitative one and is based on a questionnaire survey directed to thecitizens and it?s 85 people who participated.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe, analyze and compare university students? desire to have children, when they wanted to have their first and last child and their knowledge about fecundity in relation to the background factors: age, gender and educational level. This study will also investigate differences regarding university students? desire to have children along with when they wanted to have their first and last child and their knowledge of declining fecundity at increasing age. Method: A descriptive, comparative, cross-sectional study with quantitative method was used in the study.

All small- and medium-sized family owned enterprises need to sooner or later undergo a change of ownership. When the elder generation is approaching their retirement they have to make a choice; either hand over the business to the younger generation or sell it to an outsider. The succession of the family owned business can create a life long dilemma for the entrepreneur. This thesis discusses the differences between how archaeologists and cultural geographerdescribe the early Iron Age on Gotland. What objects, phenomenon and arguments do theyuse to describe this period. Four publications have been analysed in this study, two written byarchaeologists, two by geographers.The differences in how they describe the period in question are significant. This project is about the development of a application to aid deafblind people with time understanding. The application is written in C# language and have multiple functions to alarm the user. The application can alarm deafblind persons through a combination of sounds, pictures and vibrations. This makes the application very flexible and can be used by many different groups like deaf, blind and Older people. This application have been evaluated by staff from Mo Gård resurscenter..

This paper deals with breaks in upper secondary school. The aim with the study was to study the function of breaks for upper secondary students by investigating students? activities during breaks with the main issues: ?what does the students do during breaks??, ?how do they experience breaks?? and ?What is the relation between breaks and lessons??.A combination of the two complementary methods observation and interview was chosen to study this. The study was executed on an upper secondary school during one month. I have visited the school several times every week and written daily notes over my observations.

The choice between bare-rooted and containerized seedlings in southern Sweden affects the investment costs as well as growth and survival. It is important to take these differences into account when choosing seedling type for reforestation. The most important differences between the two seedling-types is that bare-rooted seedlings has open root systems whereas the roots of containerized seedlings are grown in a container which may contain water and nutrients that are available for the seedling during the first period after planting. Moreover, bare-rooted seedlings are often Older which results in thicker stembase and better resistance to attacks of pine-weevil (Hylobius abietis). In order to study differences in survival and growth between bare-rooted and containerized seedlings a survey study of newly planted clearcuts in south-western Sweden was made. In the study tree seedling types was included, one bare-rooted and two containerized with different ages. The population of pine weevils was probably low during the studied period which resulted in lower pine-weevil damage than normally found in this area.

Those in the Older age group however, present themselves in a more consequent matter based upon the visibility their actions have to all their friends on Facebook as a whole. The definitions of certain elements on Facebook, such as what constitutes private information or anexcess of photo-tags, differ between the two age groups. Comments and feedback differ in importance and effect between the two age groups. Those in the younger age group are more likely to modify their attitudes towards their identities based upon the functions of Facebook.

This thesis explores the effect of using a new media in the marketing mix. SL, in cooperation with Clear Channel, has covered the outside of an entire carriage, 46,5 meters long, in an underground train with an advertisement for a company. This new form of advertising has taken place in the Stockholm Underground system during spring 2005. The five companies participating in this project are MTV, the Aftonbladet/Sportsbladet, Eniro 118 118 SMS, Heinz and the Gallerian.An empirical study has been carried through to survey the motive for companies to market themselves, their brand and product/service, by using the outside of a carriage on an under-ground train as a gigantic, mobile bill¬board. The study also investigates the commuters? attitude regarding this form of advertising.

This study shows how boys and girls play has changed during the 20th century. The purpose is to make people aware of the change that has happened. In the background I show what the literature says about gender and play, before and now.To get a result I?ve interviewed two Older persons and four children. These interviews has been compared to see similarities and differences.I discovered that today?s play revolves mostly around toys.

Introduction When a child comes into a family changing conditions for the Older sibling, who may feel left out. This can be a problem for parents who face new challenges towards the Older sibling, which can lead to parents looking for advice and support. Parenting is an activity that strengthens the role of parents and provides information about children's health and social development. Purpose The purpose is to describe the parents' experiences of support in their parental role by participating in the sibling circle. Method Semi-structured focus group interview was conducted and qualitative content analysis was performed.

The purpose of the study was to identify and analyse the implications of client virtualisation in company environments. The study chose to focus on the aspects of the current hardware, license management, application management, maintenance work and the implications virtualization would have on these. The work in the study was chosen to limit itself to a Windows environment.The background to the study was due to a growing need to be more flexible and mobile in company environments and in collaboration with the University of Jönköping a problem description and the framing of questions was defined. The essay tooka qualitative initiative to comprehend the complexity of the problem at hand. The empirical data was collected from interviews, literature studies and laboratory work testing applications.

In this essay the aim is to look at difficulties in preservation of buildings in general, andespecially the ones of the modernist era. To navigate in this huge field the study is narroweddown to take place in Finspång, a small Swedish town. In Finspång there was a swimmingpool facility built in 1967. In 2003 the facility was closed down due to its unusable conditionsand then after seven years with discussions of different plans about what to do with thefacility it was demolished in 2010. This case is the base in the essay, and why it was notpreserved.The purpose of this essay is to look at what the people in Finspång think about preservation ofbuildings with the demolished swimming hall facility as base, and what impact materiality hason questions regarding preservation, cultural heritage, memory and history.

Should new buildings blend in or contrast from the Older buildings around? Could contrasts even emphasize different characters? This report is a discussion on that theme. I´ve studied different architects wiev on the question and studied different of examples of where new buildings contrast to the context in a successful way. In part two I´ve done a proposal on a new housing settlement next to Hammarbyhöjden in Stockholm. The new buildings contrast to the existing and the aim is to emphasize the characters in Hammarbyhöjden as well as in the new structure.
