The aim of this study was to investigate how mothers in families with strong patriarchal traditionssee their role as a mother and as a woman. The study is built upon two main questions: What arethe expectations of your family and your immediate environment on you as a mother and as awoman? And what does ?honour? mean for you as a mother and as a woman? In our paper wehad as a starting point a gender perspective that was further on applied in defining our researchquestion. We are also giving an account of the phenomenological perspective that we also had asa basis of our work. We interviewed six mothers living in families with strong patriarchaltraditions.

This essay is a qualitative study on quasimarkets in the field of home-help service. The main purpose of the study was to describe and analyze the function of costumers choice from elderly persons point of view. The quasimarket in home-help service of Solna stad has served as an example. The questions raised in the study concerned the elderly costumers opinion of the information about the different producers, what had influence on their choice, their attitude towards the freedom of choice, and their ability to act as consumers on a quasimarket.The method used was qualitative semi structured interviews. A majority of the elderly consumers appreciated the possibility to choose producer of home-help service.

It is mandatory for the countries in the European Union with company audit, still the countries can separately choose to exclude smaller companies from this rule. Most companies in the EU use this exception, Sweden is one of the few countries that does not. The Swedish government has recently announced that an inquiry will be made to examine the effect of an abolishment of the statutory audit for smaller companies.This study examines in what extent car selling companies use revised material when they give costumers credit and the consequences of an abolishment of the statutory audit for these companies. The conclusion of the study is that car selling companies feel secure knowing that their costumers have been audited. Most companies interviewed, buy credit information from external sources.The persons interviewed have a hard time knowing the outcome of the abolishment of the statutory auditing.

This essay focuses on a träffpunkts-activity within LSS's disability care, which started a year ago. The study has an evaluating perspective.The purpose of this essay is to describe the activity, study its intentions and to describe how far it has come reaching its intentions/goals. The questions we have focused on are: What were Träffpunkten's goals and how far has it evolved during the past year. Further more we have examined what kind of social interaction developing between guests and LSS-activity users and how much the activity's intentions show in it today.We used a qualitative method in this essay. To get answers to our questions, we have interviewed persons involved in Träffpunkten and others at Vård och Omsorgsförvaltningen.

Vid bedömning av allmän daglig livsföring (ADL) försöker man analysera hur en människa med fysisk och/eller psykisk funktionsnedsättning kan utföra olika aktiviteter i det dagliga livet, såsom personlig hygien, matlagning och städning. Arbetsterapeuter utför den subjektiva bedömningen med hjälp av standardiserade checklistor. I vissa fall ger inte det en tillräckligt nyanserad bild av en persons förmåga och det finns behov av bättre ett system som kan användas vid ADL-bedömningar av personer med olika typer av funktionsnedsättning.Målet med detta projekt har varit att ta fram ett mobilt system för aktivitetsbedömning anpassat för hemmiljö. Systemet är uppdelat i två delsystem. Delsystem 1 består av en mobiltelefonapplikation anpassad för Android som tillsammans med en rörelsesensor registrerar aktiviteten hos en person.

Handen har en väldigt stor betydelse i människans liv. Med handen utför vi många olika slags viktiga sysslor. Vi äter, duschar och klär på oss med hjälp av handen. Vi skriver, sportar och utför arbete med handen. Vi hälsar på andra och kramar de som står oss nära med hjälp av handen.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva hur personer med HIV/AIDS upplever diskriminering och stigmatisering. Stigmatisering innebär att nedvärdera en persons mänsklighet och värdighet. Diskriminering är handlingar till följd av stigmatisering och syftar till orättvis behandling där en människas underlägsenhet betonas. En kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats användes för att analysera 18 kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar från olika länder. I resultatet framkom fyra kategorier som svarade mot valt syfte.

AimThe purpose of this study is to, from a perspective of a PE teacher, look at how teachers of physical education in elementary school designs and assesses the teaching of swimming. The issues underlying the study are as follows:Which elements are included in the swimming education and how do teachers work with these operations?What does the PE teachers classify as swimming ability and what do teachers experience as obstacles for the students development of swimming ability?How do the PE teachers interpret the knowledge requirement in Lgr 11?MethodThe study is based on six interviews of qualitative nature, with PE teachers from various municipalities in the region of Mälardalen.ResultsThe result yielded by the study is that the swimming classes can take different forms depending on whom the teacher is. Common to all the teachers in the study is that they teach emergency management and lifesaving. When it later comes to teaching how to swim and practice, the teachers who teach in the younger age groups work more concentrated and continuously with swimming, while the teachers who work with the older age groups just checks whether students can swim or not.

Mammary gland neoplasia is one of the most common diseases in the bitch and the most common neoplastic disease. More than 13 % of the female dog population in Sweden suffers from mammary tumors during their lifetime. The disease can affect bitches in all ages but most often middle aged and older dogs. Some breeds such as Poodle and English Setter are predisposed for the disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate if it is possible to improve the post surgical healing process by using a pressure pad.

The first Debt Relief Act was introduced in 1994 into Swedish law. The old Debt Relief Act was replaced on 1 January 2007 by the current Debt Relief Act. The current law is in many ways similar to the older law. The main change is the debt settlement process.The Debt settlement Act's main purpose is to financially rehabilitate over-indebted individuals. This aim should be balanced against the creditors' interest in getting paid for their claims.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka äldres upplevelser av stöd i samband med sorg, vid förlust av livskamrat, samt att undersöka professionellas erfarenheter av sörjandestöd för äldre. Syftet preciseras genom följande frågeställningar: Vilket stöd finns att tillgå äldre i sorg, utifrån samhällets insatser? Vilka eventuella brister finns i sörjandestödet för äldre? Vilka aspekter har varit avgörande för de äldres sorgebearbetning? Studien har genomförts utifrån kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer som datainsamlingsmetod. Intervjuer har genomförts med två respondentgrupper, den ena med tre äldre personer vilka erfarit förlust av livskamrat, den andra med tre professionella vilka via sitt arbete kommer i kontakt med äldre. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna har utgjorts av kristeori, rollteori och ålderism.

Studien handlar om livsberättelse, tolkning, makt och rätten att veta mest om sej själv.  Studien fördjupar insikten om, och problematiserar, analyser av en persons egen berättelse om sitt liv.Social konstruktionism, hermeneutik, teorier om berättelse och makt, kunskaper om minnet samt tankar om rätten att analysera är de utgångspunkter som genom granskande närläsning främst bär upp teoridelen.Metoddelen utvecklar förutsättningar att skapa en livsberättelse så fri från tolkningar som möjligt. Denna del utmynnar i min mammas fascinerande livsberättelse, där varje läsare ges möjlighet att låta texten tala själv utan analysens tolkningsföreträde.Studien visar på forskarens kompromisslösa ansvar att tänka i termer av tolkningsföreträde, bekräftelsebehov och makt i mötet med individer som deltar i, eller förväntas läsa, studier av olika slag..

In Sweden, exercise takes a great part in people?s lives. Health and a good conditioned body go hand in hand. Many Swedes exercise in groups, with aerobics or a similar form of workout at a training facility. A regular workout lasts for about an hour and is accompanied by music.

The main purpose of this study was to examine if, and how, persons with psychological impairments have worse living conditions than the population average. The papers intention was to investigate and describe these conditions and to analyze them based on theories of stigma, and systems theory. This paper was composed on a qualitative study in which god men have been interviewed, in addition to accomplish the purpose. This study has highlighted the four individual areas of economy, employment, housing conditions and social relations. Results have shown that people with mental disabilities tend to live in worse living conditions than the population average.

This thesis studies the indirect effects of Europeanization on national political parties. I argue that Europeanization has affected the way national parties operate, and communicate with the voters, by restricting the national policy space through increased economic and political integration. Furthermore, I argue that the impact of Europeanization is likely to be reflected in electoral manifestos and changed patterns of party competition. Accordingly, Europeanization is hypothesized to change party rhetoric in a cartel-like manner by diminishing voters? expectations, and also by avoiding EU-affairs in electoral manifestos. The hypothesis suggests, moreover, that Europeanization is reflected in convergence among parties regarding the rhetoric concerning EU-affairs. The purpose of the thesis is to examine to what extent the rhetoric concerning EU-affairs has changed in electoral manifestos sinceSwedenjoined the European Union in 1995.
