The nitrogen cycle in freshwater bodies is complex and consists of many separate processes affected by a number of important factors for example oxygen concentration in the water, temperature and circulation. Knowledge of the different components of the nitrogen cycle exists; however, a complete and comprehensive picture is difficult conceptually as well as theoretically. The available literature illustrates that the research on nitrogen and the related freshwater processes is still associated with high uncertainty of how much of the supplied nitrogen from the catchment is transported with the water versus and how much is lost due to denitrification, sedimentation or uptake by plants. This report is an interdisciplinary survey of Nitrogen discharge permitting. The research focuses in particular on the decision-making process, the levels of scientific standard and the administrative framework.Application for Nitrogen discharge permits are decided by the Environmental Court with council from their own experts as well as relevant government authorities and organisations.

Gunnebo House and Gardens was designed during the late 18th century by architect Carl Wilhelm Carlberg as a summer residence for the wealthy merchant John Hall Sr. and his family. The garden consists of formal garden, kitchen garden and English park. For the first two parts several original drawings have been preserved and here a lot of restoration work has been carried out. This paper aims to examine how the English park might have been implemented during John Hall Sr.?s time and to create a plant scheme for the area called ?Engelska kullen? (The English hill).

Föreliggande uppsats syftar till att beskriva det i Halland en gång så utbredda ljunghedsbruket. Uppsatsen söker svara på hur utbredda ljunghedarna var och varför de var särskilt utbredda i Halland samt hur markanvändningen förändrades på ljunghedarna under 1800- och 1900-talet. Vidare diskuteras i uppsatsen varför en så omfattande jordbruksform som ljunghedsbruket helt övergavs inom loppet av 100 år. Genom dels litteraturstudier, dels genom studier av äldre storskaliga lantmäterikartor har följande resultat uppnåtts: Då skogen under olika tider och av olika anledningar avverkades i Halland fick ljungen möjlighet att etablera sig i landskapet. Då Hallands naturgeografi i flera avseenden passar ljungen bra blev ljungen konkurrenskraftig i landskapet.

Offentliga investeringar i transportinfrastruktur genererar ofta ökade markvärden. Detta värdesamband kan nyttjas som finansieringskälla för infrastrukturinvesteringar genom att delar av det ökade markvärdet inhämtas till det offentliga genom så kallad värdeåterföring. Möjligheterna till värdeåterföring avgörs av faktorer såsom rådande markägoförhållanden, ansvarsfördelning för planering och genomförande av transportinfrastruktur respektive bebyggelseutveckling liksom utformning av lagstiftning, skatte- och avgiftsinstrument.I detta arbete undersöks möjligheterna till fastighets- och exploateringsrelaterad värdeåterföring i Sverige. Arbetet innehåller en genomgång av relevanta institutionella förhållanden liksom tillgängliga värdeåterföringsmetoder. En fallstudie kring finansieringen av en pendeltågsstation och trafikplats i Vegastaden, Haninge, exemplifierar hur värdeåterföring kan tillämpas under rådande institutionella förhållanden.

I denna uppsats undersöks folkmusikens symbolfunktion för upprätthållandet av 1800-1900-talens kollektiva nationalidentitet. Detta görs genom en analys av den språkliga framställningen av folkmusik inom kulturellt bildade kretsar. Uppsatsen behandlar det skriftliga språket som en reflektion av en skribents värderingar och allmänna världsbild. Genom att analysera den språkliga framställningen av folkmusik med ett teoretiskt underlag att applicera som samhällelig kontext söker uppsatsen att besvara frågeställningar kring värderingen av folkmusik, dess förekomst i vardagen, och dess symboliska funktion inom en avgränsad diskurs. The Latvian building company Laval un Partneri Ltd (Laval) posted Latvian construction workers at the rebuilding of a school in Vaxholm in autumn 2004. Because the company refused to sign a collective agreement with Svenska Byggnadsarbetareförbundet (Byggnads), which is the Swedish trade union for constructions workers, Byggnads put the construction site under a boycott. Next Laval sued Byggnads for damages in the Swedish Labour Court (AD) because Laval considers the boycott as well as Byggnad´s demand that Laval signs a collective agreement incompatible with EC Law. AD has now demanded a preliminary ruling from the European Court of Justice (ECJ). While waiting for the preliminary ruling from the ECJ, several important questions of principle stand unanswered.

The purpose of this study is to examine, from a gender perspective, Utbildningsradions TV-program Hej Litteraturen! in the light of feminist literature studies conducted during the last twenty years. I want to examine if the feminist literature studies have had any impact on contemporary teaching material regarding the question of how much space in time is given to men versus women and which female authors are included in the literary canon. Hej Litteraturen! is a TV program produced in 2010 intended for high school teaching of literature history.   By conducting a content analysis in which I divide the study in a quantitative and a qualitative component, I have investigated how much space and time is given to female writers and how they are presented. My analysis draws on use Yvonne Hirdman?s theory of the gender system.   The result shows that the female authors get 37 percent of the total reference space and 42 percent of the time-space. The program has sought to describe male and female authors equally and gives them weight and relevance to the sections in a similar manner.    In conclusion, Hej Litteraturen! is a tutorial which embraces parts of the criticisms that have existed in historical literature review papers in general and literary history textbooks in particular. Hej Litteraturen! has worked on gender aspects of the program and by picking up contemporary authors as reference points for literary history in the present, the program contributes not only not only in renewing the literary canon, but also in balancing out the dominance of male writers in the history of literature..

The aim of this study was to examine how the Danish people and Denmark are represented in the daily Swedish press. We wanted to examine how the Danish people were represented, the characteristics given to the Danes and the differences we see between the different genres. We used theories about discourse, representation, stereotype and national community, too see what underlying messages was hidden in the texts. We analysed 30 texts from three Swedish daily newspapers: Sydsvenska Dagbladet Snällposten, Dagens Nyheter and Aftonbladet. The method we used was discourse analysis based on Faircloughs theories and methods.One of the most interesting results we found was that the Danish people often were represented as different kinds of stereotypes.

AbstractThe intention of our study is to examine how the view of homeless people and their life situation looks according to a selection of persons, which in their work get into contact with homeless people. The study is based on a qualitative method that includes interviews.The result of the study is based on interviews with eight persons working in the social services, volunteer organisations, the police and a security organisation. The majority of the persons that have been interviewed are normalising homeless people; they do not look upon them as different. At the same time they have the opinion that homeless people live a tougher life and that they have to fight more for their living than other people. The persons that we have interviewed share the view that homeless people live under a constant pressure of finding a place to sleep.

Female genital mutilation is an ancient custom, practiced mainly in African countries. For several years, Africans has immigrated to Sweden and many of the women are genitally mutilated or circumcised. The aim of this study was to bring some clarity to the attitudes and experiences regarding female genital mutilation among those who are affected. Articles for this literature review were searched for in international databases, and in the university library database. The outcome of this study shows that health care staff is in need of greater knowledge about this custom, in order to be able to handle the situation appropriately.

The purpose of this master thesis is to use marketing theory on the library?s activities. The marketing theory used is the 4Ps; product, price, promotion and place, as it's presented by Philip Kotler. Because the library can be seen as a service oriented organization Christian Gronroos theory of marketing in the service industry also has been used. A case study of the public library in Broby was made to illustrate how the public libraries? activities can appear in the light of marketing theory.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the influence that aristocrats in Sweden had on the Swedish movement for the prevention of cruelty to animals, and why especially aristocrats started it. The sources I have been using are speeches and texts written by persons who were involved in the movement. I have also studied rapports from the three largest societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals. In the sources I looked for terms, expressions and opinions that can be paralleled whit the aristocratic ideal and opinion. Things that can relate to aristocratic urban people.
