Mellanchefer inom social omsorgsverksamhet arbetar på uppdrag av kommunens politiker och är underställda verksamhetschefer och förvaltningsledning, samtidigt som de har ett arbetsledaransvar för underställd personal. Kommunernas allt mer begränsade ekonomiska resurer är en faktor som kan skapa svårigheter att organisera och konkretisera verksamheten för att nå uppsatta mål. Arbetet som mellanchef förutsätter en förmåga att kunna hantera och balansera motsättningar och konflikter mellan parternas olika krav, önskemål och förväntningar. Syftet med vår studie var att fånga mellanchefers upplevelse av yrkesrollen och deras behov av stöd, för att få en uppfattning om vilken typ av stöd som kan öka deras förutsättningar att utöva ledarskap..

Smålands museum, the museum of Småland, is a museum for the county of Kronoberg, a mission given to the museum by the state and county council. The main fields of the museum are the cultural heritage and the history of culture of the region. The museum of Småland is also the Swedish museum of glass. This Master s thesis focuses on the information requirements of the employees at the museum of Småland. Because of the financial status of the museum, the librarian that worked at the museum had to quit about four years ago.

SammanfattningBakgrund: I och med Gro Harlem Bruntlands rapport "Our common future", som skrevs i mitten av åttiotalet, fick hållbarhetsfrågan ett uppsving och trots att det nu har gått mer än 25 år är ämnet fortfarande högaktuellt. Det finns ett stort behov av att göra samhället hållbart och det är av allmänt intresse att vi åstadkommer förändringar. Här har företagen och den offentliga sektorn en viktig roll och hållbarhetsredovisningen är ett verktyg att nå detta mål.Problem: I Sveriges kommuner är det idag väldigt stor variation på hur och om man hållbarhetsredovisar. Enligt FAR, branschorganisationen för revisorer och rådgivare, är kvaliteten på rapporterna dessutom långt ifrån tillfredsställande. Att upprätta hållbarhetsredovisning är inte lätt eftersom rapporten ska sammanställa ett flertal olika dimensioner.

This thesis studies three kinds of debate formats. Those are DN Debatt, SVT Debatt and Ring P1. The focus lies in the interrelations between these forums and how they interact with theri audience. Since debate is an essential tool for political and democratic practice, it is vital to study the movements and the realtions between these media formats. Some of the questions in this study are: What happens with a debate topic when it moves between the formats? In which way are the formats democratic and what does their communicative forms mean for political practice and citizen participation? The study shoes how the interpretation of a specific term can expand during a debate.

Webbloggens aktualisering i medielandskapet har inspirerat oss till denna uppsats vilken behandlar detta nya fenomen. Främst riktas uppsatsens fokus mot att studera hur webbloggens potential kan användas som komplement till andra kanaler som används för nyhetsförmedling och debatt i det offentliga rummet. Vidare önskar vi finna svaret på om någon demokratisk funktion för webbloggen existerar? Kan webbloggen som kommunikationskanal bidra till att skapa en deliberativ demokrati genom att inbjuda till dialog i offentligheten. Kan den information som publiceras komplettera den traditionella nyhetsförmedlingen?Till grund ligger en kvalitativ studie som bygger på fältstudier på sex bloggande journalister och deras webbloggar.

Today, "the digital library" is the common way of describing a managed collection of information, with associated services, stored in digital formats and accessible over a network. Digital libraries have mainly been developed at research libraries, but during the last few years public libraries have started to offer similar services.The aim of this Master's thesis is to study how the Swedish public libraries plan to develop their digital libraries according to their mission statements, and in what way they have implemented them at their web sites. 21 public libraries, the largest in each Swedish county, were investigated.The library mission statements are investigated to find out in what terms the digital libraries are described and to what extent. The library websites are examined with respect to what kind of digital services are offered, to what extent they supplement or replace the physical library, and if there are new digital services not found in the physical library.In most mission statements the digital library is referred to in sweeping terms like "IT activities" and "new media". However, a few of the libraries clearly regard the digital library as an important part of the future operations, speaking of it in well defined and extensive terms.The public library websites are relatively homogeneous when it comes to services supplementing physical library activities, like web access to the library catalogue and links to other library catalogues.

This project explores how artificial landscapes as parks and squares above ground can save space by using the vertical voids in urban environments and how they can create spatial and social as well as ecological qualities and connections. Hybrid landscapes are a phenomenon of current interest within the field of architecture and urbanism. Architecture as surface, where facades and roofs become possible to tread, is a relatively recent occurence that has over the past few years become an increasingly common sight in architectural magazines and on international architecture exhibitions. Many of my selected reference projects have often been associated with sensational contemporary design trends generated by advanced computer software. But the phenomenon is also a result of other different currents of change that exist within today?s society, such as densified cities with a lack of open space, which is also expressed in architecture.

Information is essential in order for pharmaceutical companies to be successful. This essay focuses on the information provision of pre-clinical scientists at AstraZeneca R&D Lund, and the role of the company library in this process. In semi-structured interviews, four pre-clinical scientists were asked to describe their information provision regarding what type of information they need, how they find it and what sources of information they use. Four librarians from the company library were also interviewed to give their perspective on the information provision of pre-clinical scientist. The study also aimed at comparing the image of the process as described by the scientists themselves and the librarians.

Title: Development and continuity: A new institutional case study of a Danish public library in changeAbstract: The purpose of this master's thesis is to discuss and analyse the relationship between the traditional core values belonging to the institution of the public library, and the development work that takes place at the institution. The thesis also investigates the relationships that influence the development work.By investigating a library that is considered progressive in its development work, our purpose is also to unveil alternative values that compete with the traditional core values. By illustrating the perception among seven staff members and the director at Aarhus Public Libraries, we want to illuminate the terms for development among public libraries. In addition to our interviews, an activity plan is studied.We base our study on new institutional theory which focuses on norms and values in an organisation. This focus helps us to understand the development work from a comprehensive view.Our study shows that the development work at Aarhus Public Libraries is taking place in a complex environment that consists of several different actors and different interpretationsof the traditional core values of public libraries.

The aim of this master thesis is to gain greater knowledge of interpersonal communication. This study explores on one hand how interpersonal communication can be used as an important part of reference work in a Swedish electronic synchronous reference service, and on the other how interpersonal communication affects the relationship between user and librarian. By using communication theory and establishing a positive relational contact with the user in the electronic environment, the outcome of the reference encounter can be successful for both the librarian and the user. Furthermore, the importance of recognising relational barriers is of great relevance to the relational contact. The scope of this master thesis is to find what relational factors are used and can be used in the interaction between user and librarian.

Syftet med den här kandidatuppsatsen har varit att studera vilken legal status tentamen och tentamensvar samt elev- och studentbetyg har i svensk rättstillämpning med hjälp av frågorna är tentamen och tentamensvar allmänna handlingar samt är elev- och studentbetyg allmänna handlingar? I uppsatsen har den traditionella juridiska metoden tillämpats. Utredningen visar att tentamen samt tentamensvaren av Kammarrätten i Stockholm definierats som offentliga allmänna handlingar först efter att tentamen slutförts, eftersom de omfattas av provsekretess. Av de rättsfall som redovisats i uppsatsen kan konstateras att betygsdokument de facto är allmänna handlingar. En styrelses uppgift är att företräda samtliga aktieägare i ett bolag. I ett börsnoterat bolag är ägarna många vilket gör styrelsens uppgift svår då det finns många intressenter. Vid ett uppköpsbud aktualiseras bolagets värde ur samtliga berörda intressenters perspektiv. Vår undersökning identifierar aktieägarnas perspektiv i denna situation och utvärderar i vilken utsträckning deras intressen tillgodoses. Vi har genomfört ett antal tester av hypoteser som formulerats utifrån tillgänglig applicerbar forskning.

SAMMANFATTNINGUnder kursen Estetiskt lärande har en ständig frågeställning varit: Hur kan man arbeta med estetiska ämnen och samtidigt kombinera dem med ett annat?Jag har gjort ett examensarbete i två delar, den första är en litteraturstudie där olika författares teorier om drama och amatörteater tas upp. Den andra är en undersökning av amatörteatrars bevarade material från Folkrörelsernas arkiv.Mina frågor i arbetet är:1. Till vilken nytta har elever och lärare i drama om kunskap i amatörteaterhistoria?2.

The potential of information technology as a means to invigorate democratic practise is constantly under discussion. Regardless of the differing opinions as to the most suitable way to utilise IT, there are certain democratic core values that have to be considered. One of these is freedom of information, defined by us as the right of every citizen to seek, obtain and express information. The aim of this study is to explore whether the use of IT as a means to enhance democracy can strengthen the citizens right to freedom of information. As an instrument for analysis we use an article by Jan van Dijk, professor of communication science.

Social media is used widely around the world by millions of people every day. In this report an analysis has been made of how organisations that are directed towards marginalized adolescents and young adults, are using social media in their working processes. The data has been gathered through qualitative interviews and case studies of three organisations, which are in different stages in their use of social media. The results from the study indicates that every chosen organisation wants to use social media applications for the same purpose, which is to be available where their target audience is situated, but their progress is reduced by elements such as priority, lack of knowledge and time..
