IKEA HaparandaTornio employ some two-hundred people in its furniture retail store.Keeping track of staff statistics and employee information has previously been achievedthrough the use of a basic Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet. The store?s human resourcesdepartment requested an upgrade to this system with the hope of speeding up andsimplifying the administrative process, as well as to make it easier to monitor HR-relatedtarget statistics. The following report documents the development process of that upgrade ascarried out by the author. The project draws on research in usability design and cognitivepsychology to develop a user-friendly interface.

This study aims to draw attention to the discourse of Swedish language teachers and their literary repertoires from a didactic perspective. This leeds to the following inquiries: ?how to define and delineate a broader concept of text;? ?how realized is this concept in Swedish upper secondary schools;? and ?how does the use of the broader concept of text effect the ability to learn.? The empirical data comprise group interviews with six teachers who work at two different schools, in different towns, located in southern Sweden. The data are transcribed and carefully analysed by tools consistent with methodological approaches. The theoretical framework consists of discursive psychology.

ABSTRACTPurpose/aim: The aim of this essay is to make a comprehensive study of the phenomenon of net dating, both among those who have dated on the internet and among those who haven?t tried it at all. Key questions to be answered are what attitudes are associated with net dating? How do the attitudes differ between those who have tried compared to those who haven?t? What kind of positive and negative aspects is there with net dating? Are there any prejudices against net dating and ? if so, what kind of prejudices? How does the future look for net dating?Material/method: Qualitative method with eight interviews divided into two groups depending weather the person has tried net dating or not.Main results: The study shows that net dating is a phenomenon that will continue to grow and attract more users. The most significant result from the interviews are the different prejudices that are articulated.

This study aims to find coping resources in two different paradigms of pastoral care using coping theory from the psychology of religion. The intention is to find coping resources that are functional coping strategies to help priests and chaplains in their work with pastoral care. The research questions are: What coping resources can be found in the pastoral clinical paradigm and the contextual paradigm? What are the differences and similarities? The method used is template analysis style where the theories form a framework for the material used to analyse in this study. The theories used for this study are religious coping theory and pastoral care theory.

Djur påverkar människors välbefinnande och hälsa på en mängd olika sätt och använts i många andra länder som en integrerad del av klieneters vård och rehabilitering. Ökade kunskaper om de positiva hälsoeffeketerna har lett till en ökad nyfikenhet bland hälso- och sjukvården även i Sverige och användningen av djur inom vård och rehabilitering har ökat de senaste åren. Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva hur djur kan användas på ett målmedvetet sätt som en del av rehabiliteringen. Litteraturstudien bygger på både kvalitativa och kvantiativa artiklar för att skapa en helhetsbild om kunskapsområdet. Artiklarna har analyserats utifrån Graneheim och Lundman (2004) kvalitativa innehållsanalys i syfte att beskriva det mest karaktistiska i data.

Hur tillägnar sig gymnasieelever sin kunskap och är de medvetna om hur de tillägnar sig praktisk och teoretisk kunskap? Dessa frågor har Comenius och Dewey långt före mig sökt svaret på. Denna studie avser att bidra med kunskap om denna process. De elever som ingått i denna studie berättar om hur de upplever skillnader och likheter mellan teoretisk och praktisk kunskap. Elevernas tolkningar om hur de uppfattar lärandet är en central del av arbetet där elevens syn är viktig.

Missbruk av alkohol och droger ökar i Sverige och missbruket begränsar aktiviteter och sociala interaktioner. I utförande av dagliga aktiviteter och delaktighet i sociala sammanhang kan miljön påverka främjande eller hindrande. Syftet med denna studie var att förstå och beskriva hur personer med substansmissbruk upplever den sociala miljöns främjande och hindrande aspekter för missbruk och dagliga aktiviteter. Genom elektronisk och manuell sökning har 7 biografier inkluderats i studien. Biografierna analyserades utifrån en kvalitativ innehållsanalys och resulterade i sex kategorier: ?De viktigaste personerna i familjen är barnen?, ?Öppenhet och ärlighet från vännerna?, ?Kärleksförhållanden påverkar missbruket?, ?Att bli sedd som människa av andra?, ?Medmänsklighet och förståelse från professioner i vården? och ?Arbetskamraternas stöd är viktigt?.

In September of year 2006, a young boy was brutally killed by a girl, age sixteen, in Örebro, Sweden. Girlgangs became a frequent subject in media. Professionals? working with adolescents claims that girlgangs notis an existing phenomena in Sweden as it is in for example in the United States. The aim of this thesis was to investigate if teenage girls in Sweden have a tendency to join gangs as they do in the United States.

For centuries Islam and Muslims have been subject to islamophobic attitudes in the west. The purpose with this study was to see into the making of open and closed attitudes against Islam and Muslims from a conflict in southern Thailand, and also to so see if Muslims are portrayed as more violent than the Buddhist groups in the conflict. The aim of the study is also to see if Muslims fall into a violent stereotype. This was studied by looking at five Swedish newspapers coverage of the conflict, during a given time. To be able to look into this, two theories will be used, the first one is the Runnymede Trust theory, which is about open and closed attitudes against Islam and Muslims.

Research shows that unemployed´s motivation to seek work affects their health and social life. Employment officer?s motivational work should be based on strengthening the individual's confidence in their abilities. Five motivational theories underpinning the study is Cognitive Theory, Self-determination theory, Expectancy Value Theory, need theory and Goal Theory. The purpose of this study was to investigate individuals' job motivation, and emotional experiences, also in relation to contact with the employment officer.

Att vara aktiv och klara av att utföra sitt arbete har en central betydelse för en individs hälsa och välbefinnande. Begreppet arbetsförmåga är ett komplext begrepp som beskrivs som flerdimensionellt. Vid bedömning av arbetsförmåga är det viktigt att bedömaren använder sig av tillförlitliga metoder som syftar till att hjälpa individen med sin fortsatta rehabilitering. Syftet med studien är att kartlägga olika bedömningsinstrument som mäter arbetsförmåga i olika avseenden. Bland annat vilket syfte instrumentet har, vilken datainsamlingsmetod instrumentet använder samt vilka psykometriska egenskaper som har prövats för instrumentet.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva arbetsterapeuters erfarenhet av samarbete med hemtjänstpersonal för att främja delaktighet i aktivitet hos personer med stroke i hemmet. I studien deltog sex arbetsterapeuter, verksamma inom en kommun i Jämtlandslän, som ansvarar för åtgärder som inriktas mot personer i deras hem där samarbete med hemtjänst ingår. Data samlades in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med stöd av en intervjuguide. Materialet analyserades utifrån en kvalitativ innehållsanalys som resulterade i ett övergripande tema; Samarbete är en process som bygger på ömsesidighet och kontinuitet och tre underteman; Att skapa en relation är en förutsättning för ett gott samarbete, Samarbete sker genom att ta tillvara på varandras kompetens och erfarenheter samt Samarbete förutsätter kontinuitet och återkoppling. I resultatet framkom betydelsen av samarbetet mellan arbetsterapeuter och hemtjänstpersonalen vilket innefattar att arbeta nära varandra, ta del av varandras kunskaper samt ge feedback.

This paper is based on Bowlby's attachment theory in the exploration of Christian pastoral care literature. Kirkpatrick and Granqvist account for the majority of previous research on the subject, however, not related to counselling or counselling literature. The selected pastoral literature, which is three books by each author: Liselotte J Andersson and Margareta Melin provide several possible associations with attachment theory. In the process, nonetheless, more literature has been studied than those reported here. This paper aims to investigate whether a relationship with God is given as an attachment relationship of the selected pastoral literature.

This thesis puts focus on Maria Aarts method "Marte meo" (on one's own strength). With the video camera as a principal tool, the purpose of the method is to be a practical working tool to support developmental processes on specific target groups, for example parents and their children. The aim of the thesis was to describe Swedish Marte meo Therapists and Marte meo Supervisors personal- and working experiences of the method, which was introduced in Sweden year 1991. Central questions were: How does Marte meo Therapists describe the essence of the method, it's establishment, development, and future in Swedish social services and psychotherapeutic treatment work? Which are Marte meo Therapists opinions of the methods relation to general problems and issues within social services and psychotherapeutic treatment work, such as the anchorage of theory and practice and the general claim for more research in social services interventions? In order to achieve the aim of the thesis a qualitative study was performed containing semi structured interviews with three Marte meo Therapists (two of them also titled Marte meo Supervisors).
