The main focus with this study was to investigate if there was a difference in level ofeducation and self-rated health and if it could be explained by the amount of control,demands and social support at work. Theories used in this essay are education, health,and the job strain-model (control, demands and social support at work). We used analready done study by Folkhälsoinstitutet (2004) to examine these questions. Theanalysed sample consists of respondents 12 166 aged 18-84 years. The decline was39, 2 %.

Background: Overweight in children is a growing problem around the world. Studies has shown that children suffering from overweight, are at a greater risk to remain overweight as adults as well. Child health care nurses have an important task by trying to motivate parents to better diet and exercise habits for their children. Previous research proves that overweight and obesity in children is a very complex problem which requires a good caring relationship between child health care nurses and parents.Purpose: The purpose of the study was to illuminate the experiences of child health care nurses of meeting parents of overweight children.Method: An inductive qualitative approach was used as method. Sexual health can be experienced in spite of disease, dysfunction or infirmity.

Sweden's population holds today one of the highest life expectancies in the world and an increasing number of Swedes believe that they have good health. However, the problem still remains that there exists significant differences in health between different population groups and neighborhoods. Two neighborhoods that demonstrate high inequality in health status are Rinkeby and Danderyd in Stockholm County.    The purpose of this study was to examine why health differs between different neighborhoods and how residents experience the area and their health. To answer this purpose a combination of statistical data and qualitative interviews with residents in Danderyd and Rinkeby has been used with an additional literature review.      The study showed that the causes of health inequalities between these neighborhoods was primarily concerned with the factors of education, economic conditions, ethnicity, conditions of comfort and companionship and the surrounding residential environment. The population in Danderyd, made up largely of people with high education, good economic conditions and few foreign-born, while the majority of Rinkeby?s population consists of individuals with low education, poor economic conditions and a high proportion of inhabitants of foreign origin, which are determining factors leading to poorer health status among the population.

Further the aim was to describe the possibilities and difficulties that school personnel experience in their work.  The research questions were: How do school personnel describe their health promoting work at school? In a health promotion perspective, what efforts do school personnel think is important when it comes to nutrition and physical activity? What possibilities do school personnel experience with health promoting efforts? What difficulties do school personnel experience with health promoting efforts?The study has a qualitative approach in which seven individual interviews were conducted with personnel at a secondary school. The respondents worked with different aspects which broadened the perspective.

Unemployment and long term unemployment is a reality for a large number of people in Sweden. This may be the result of structural changes in the labor market, but involves a wide range of issues. Användningen av inbyggda systemökar också ständigt, och möjligheten att göra inbyggda system tillgängliga via Web Services öppnar nya möjligheter.Detta arbete visar på möjligheter och problem med standardiserade textbaserade protokoll för kommunikation i inbyggda system med små resurser. XML-RPC och SOAP studeras ur detta perspektiv. SOAP befinns vara mer komplext att implementera stöd för än XMLRPC i den begränsade testmiljön, som har 32kB internminne. XML-RPC visar sig ge fördelar över proprietära protokoll främst när det gäller underhållbarhet och återanvändbarhet..

The purpose of this study was to analyze and develop a workflow for assessing and representing the value of ecosystems to professionals involved in municipal planning. A thorough literature review was conducted and supplemented by interviews and observations. Frameworks for ecosystem service assessments were analyzed and combined with methods in urban planning in order to assess social and ecological conditions. A workflow was set up and methods were evaluated by applying them to a case study in the area Åstråket in Uppsala. Experience from the case study was compiled in order to improve the workflow.Complex assessments were identified and simplified for the method to be useful for practitioners.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva de erfarenheter som arbetsterapeuter och långvarigt sjuka klienter har av kreativa aktiviteter som intervention inom arbetsterapi. En deskriptiv kvalitativ metod valdes för att besvara syftet. Data samlades in via semistrukturerade intervjuer med arbetsterapeuter samt genom en skriftlig frågeställning till klienter. Utifrån en latent innehållsanalys analyserades insamlad data vilket resulterade i ett övergripande tema, ?Kreativa aktiviteter används som ett medel och ett mål inom arbetsterapi? samt tre kategorier, ?Ett medel som är avledande och underlättar samtal med klienten?, ?Ett medel att observera och träna klienters funktionsförmåga?, samt ?Ett medel att hitta strategier som kan överföras till vardagliga aktiviteter?.

När en person inte kan vara delaktig i meningsfulla aktiviteter kan hjälpmedel vara ett måste för att underlätta. Studier har visat att elrullstol möjliggör delaktighet, och detta kan därmed leda till en ökad livskvalitet. Fyra personer medverkade i denna studie, baserad på Canadian Model of Occupational Performance, CMOP. Två tekniker användes för datainsamlingen. Dels utfördes en intervju och dels skattade informanterna, med hjälp av VAS, sin upplevelse av delaktighet och livskvalitet före och efter att de fått sin elrullstol.

Motivation is a key factor in sustaining a healthy and active lifestyle, and technology has afforded us new methods for attaining information concerning exercise and health. This paper aims to examine how social media can motivate individuals to obtain and maintain an active and healthy lifestyle, as well as identify which particular social media channels are preferred for this purpose. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were used as data collection in this research. The results of this report show that images and text shared on social media, as well as the communication therein, can function as motivation for individuals to commence and maintain a regular physical activity and health regimen. Additionally, an individual?s sharing of their own training and health routine is enough to motivate the person in question to sustain their training and health procedure.
