Öckerö kommun var 1999 den kommun i Västra Götaland som hade störst problem med ungdomsfylleri.År 2002 anställdes en drogförebyggande samordnare i kommunen som genomprojektet Alla Överens arbetar för att påverka föräldrar och andra vuxna till att inte tolereraalkohol bland underåriga. Sedan dess har alkoholanvändningen bland ungdomarna sjunkitdrastiskt. Tidigare forskning kring ungdomars alkoholbeteende visar att föräldrars attityd tillungdomsdrickande till stor del påverkar barnens alkoholanvändande. Även faktorer som stödoch kontroll i form av regler och tillsyn har visat sig vara skyddande, medan kontroll i formav bestraffning och hot samt alkohol i hemmet anses mindre bra. Syftet med uppsatsen är attundersöka vilken attityd föräldrarna till elever i högstadiet i Öckerö kommun har till ungdomarsalkoholbeteende, samt hur de genom stöd, kontroll och eget drickande påverkar sinabarns alkoholbeteende.

Meticillinresistenta staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) är en bakterie som har utvecklat resistens mot meticillin. Spridning av MRSA är ett stort globalt problem som ökar. På intensivvårdsavdelningar förekommer smittspridning till medpatienter som är svårt sjuka, ett problem som intensivvårdssjuksköterskr bör förhindra med hjälp av olika omvårdnadsåtgärder. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka hur intensivvårdssjuksköterskan kan förhindra smittspridning av MRSA på intensivvårdsavdelning (IVA). Studien baseras på 11 vetenskapliga artiklar.

This work is a combination of a literature study and a practical pilotstudy. In the literature study essential physiological reasons of why anaesthesia of horses is so risky are explained. Diffrent methods of induction and recovery are brought up, together with significant aspects of positioning the horse on the operating table and perianaesthetic complications such as myopathy, neuropathy and limb fractures. The pilotstudy had the purpose of examine the bodytemperature of horses undergoing general anaesthesia and to control the perianaesthetic temperature measurements performed in Swedish horseclinics and veterinary hospitals. Our hypothesis was that the bodytemperature of the horses would decrease but not enough to cause a problem. The purpose of this work has been to gather more profound knowledges in the subject of perianaesthetic nursing of horses which is an important part of the assignment of a veterinary nurse..

Stroke är ett samlingsnamn för hjärninfarkt och hjärnblödning och är en av devanligaste orsakerna till funktionsnedsättning och dödsfall i västvärlden. Personersom drabbats av stroke är den grupp som upptar flest vårdplatser i svensk sjukvårdidag. Insjuknandet i stroke är plötsligt och får stora konsekvenser för individens liv,såväl fysiska, psykiska som sociala. Sjukdom är en av de faktorer som påverkarpersoners upplevelse av sin livskvalitet. Livskvalitet är ett subjektivt begrepp sombeskriver en persons upplevelse av sin livssituation.

Since the 9/11-attacks several nations have been confronted with a new international threat, its nature traces back to the political- and religious- radical movements of the 20th century Cold War. Ever since, various states have been under threat by terrorist organizations around the world due to mainly participating in worldwide counter-terrorist interventions created by western alliances. In Sweden, amongst other countries, the state took security-precautions that would imply total control of information throughout the territorial borders. The assigned proposition was accepted by the Swedish parliament in June 18th 2008, after this date wild spread criticism was still in effect ever since the Swedish government first publicly announced the proposition in May 8th 2007. This study emphasizes on understanding why the Swedish government chose to present this proposition to parliament, in order to complete this task the study will present the motives and the alleged threats that were the core of the proposition and its value-maximizing goal of creating a new surface for Swedish homeland security.

En viktig del av den svenska välfärden är kommunens äldreomsorg för personer över 65 år, där Socialtjänstlagen ger rättighet till vårdboende och andra servicetjänster när det behövs. Kommunernas kommunaltjänst ska enligt Socialtjänstlagen vara av god kvalitet. Rapportering av avvikande händelser är en av hörnpelarna i arbetet med att förbättra kvalitet och säkerhet i vården. Avvikelserapportering bidrar till att undvika att negativa händelser upprepas, samt att rutiner förbättras för att höja kvalitet. Genom att ta tillvara möjligheterna med avvikelserapporter kan kvaliteten på vårdboenden förbättras och utvecklas.

Background: Obesity has expanded to a nationwide issue that affects millions of people. The healthcare system struggles to handle the epidemic as the problem grows. Studies show that healthcare workers have negative attitudes toward obese and overweight people and that they lack knowledge and proper tools to support this patient group. Motivational interviewing (MI) is a known technique for initiating lifestyle changes with patients. Aim: The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of MI as a tool for weight loss and sustainable lifestyle changes for people with obesity and overweight. Method: This study uses a literature review methodology with a systematic perspective. Data is gathered and analyzed to investigate how MI affects weight loss.

Dokumenterad erfarenhet av otillfredsställande måltidsmiljö i svenska skolrestauranger och trender på försämrad psykisk hälsa bland svenska barn och ungdomar har föranlett till en fyra dagars interventionsstudie med musik i skolmåltidsmiljö. Studien genomfördes bland maxi-malt 71 grundskoleelever. Syftet med studien var att utforska fenomenet måltidsupplevelse i skolmåltid samt undersöka mängd matavfall för elever från årskurs 2, 3 och 5. Min frågeställ-ning blev i sin tur, vad för eventuella kan musiken mellan människa, hälsa och måltid. Under-sökningsmetoden gick till som en interventionsstudie, i detta fall att tillföra en verklig situa-tion som måltiden med musik och att därefter utvärdera upplevelser och förhållanden.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka vårdpersonalens tillämpning av tvångsmetoder i omvårdnaden av demenssjuka personer på gruppboende. Detta gjordes genom att författarna studerade vilka tvångsmetoder, av vilka anledningar, utifrån vilka åsikter samt vilka alternativa vägar som istället kan tillämpas. För att uppnå syftet genomfördes en kvalitativ litteraturstudie med hjälp av nio vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet visade att vårdpersonal i huvudsak använder tvångsmetoder för den demenssjukes eget bästa. Det framkom även att kunskap och kompetens hos vårdpersonalen är betydelsefullt för i vilken utsträckning som tvångsmetoder används.

This study describes how the women lived with breast cancer. The purpose with this study was to describe the womens' view on the disease and the understanding they hade on the social support they were depended on. The method was a study of literature with article reviews according to Polit et al., 2001. As theoretical frame of reference we choose Carnevalis model, Everyday life -Functional state of health. The result showed that the following four groups were formed: Support, positive and negative support off nursing staff and significant others.

The aim of this littrature review has been to describe how you can satisfy the need of nourishment for older people who suffer from dementia. Data has been retrieved by searches in Academic Search Elite, Sience Direct, Blackwell, PubMed and in the Journal Vård i Norden. The studies show that most of the people with dementia have a hard time to satisfy the nourishment. The results show that through different preventive measurement you can improve the nourishment for these people, to set the table, play calm music and to have a table companion. By taking the food oneself created a good meal environment and the individually need was provided for.

Introduktion: Att vänta på ambulans kan antas betyda ett vårdlidande för patienter. Det finns möjlighet för larmoperatören på SOS-alarm att prioritera på ett sådant sätt att väntetiden varierar patienter emellan. Det är också möjligt för ambulanssjuksköterskan att fördröja tiden från det att uppdraget tilldelats till det att ambulansen startas. Tidigare forskning pekar på kopplingar mellan vårdlidande och väntan på vård. Föreliggande pilotstudie mäter skillnader i väntetid mellan två socialt skilda stadsdelar i Göteborg och relaterar väntetid i termer av vårdlidande.

Although women express a desire to be managers and although they constitute the majority of Sweden's newly graduated academics, they are still heavily underrepresented on senior management level in the Swedish private sector, where men hold as much as 95 % of the top positions. Considering the massive waste of resources that this implies, this thesis sets out to investigate the underlying reasons for the skewed gender distribution on senior management level in two Swedish professional services companies - an industry where the described problem has been palpable. Additionally, the thesis explores the effects of actively working for increased gender equality. With a basis in gender and organization theory, a broad theoretical framework has been compiled and applied to a qualitative case study design. The thesis reveals seven distinct impediments, which together create a parable of an obstacles course, that prevent women from advancing the corporate ladder in the same manner as their male colleagues.

Death can be seen as a sensitive subject and can by that be difficult for many people to talk about. Working as a nurse can imply caring for severe ill and dying patients, which can be regarded as a task that makes great demands. The aim of the present literature review is to illustrate nurses' experiences of problems in association with the care of dying patients to be aware of these. Nine scientific articles were analysed and the result showed that the problems the nurses experienced could be related to four different categories: problems related to organisa-tion/resources, to the nurse herself, to the patient and to family members. The literature review also illustrates consequences of these problems for nurses, and which components that could simplify the nursing care of dying patients..

The purpose of our study is to examine what risk factors can contribute to a child/youth with neuropsychiatric disorders developing an addiction to drugs. We also wanted to find out what protective factors can contribute not to develop an addiction. In order to find out these two different aspects we interviewed twelve professionals to get their view upon the matter. The professionals work within different sectors such as school, healthcare, social services and one of the interviewed is a member of an organization that specialises in neuropsychiatric disorders.When analysing our result of the interviews we used Bronnfenbrenner´s theory on the ecology of human development. What we found was that there are significant risk factors and protective factors on different levels of the child's environment.On the first level, the microsystem, interpersonal relations have an impact on the child's development.
