In this project I have worked with creating a new kind of room in a hospital enviroment for children. The main purpose of the project has been to form a secure and positive experience for the patient while visiting a specific room at the department of childrens physiologi, at Drottning Silvias Children- and youth hospital in Gothenburg.The project was based on questions like how it is possible to move the focus from the unsecure and scary, to something secure and positive, when the patient is going through an testing situation.The target gruop included a wide age span (0-16 years old), therefore I have worked with a theme, H2O, that works for diffrent ages. In the room, I have applicated the theme in different levels that is changeable depending on the age of the patient.During the project I have presented my ideas for the staff at the hospital. We have discussed their problems, what they wish in their working enviroment and how they experience the situation for the patients. I have also asked the patients how they experience the specific room today.The result of the project is a visual idea of how you can create a room, that you don?t exepect to find in a hospital..

Background: Mental illness is a growing public health problem which can cause significant disabilities and lead to poor quality of life. As primary care nurses often are the first to encounter these patients they need knowledge to be able to respond appropriately to this group.Aim: The aim was to describe how the sufferer of mental illness experiences the introduction to primary care. Method: The literature review was based on the results of 11 scientific articles which were analyzed with the inspiration of a metasynthesis method.Results: Four categories emerged: the experience of being treated like a human being, the importance of a therapeutic space, the experience of time and availability as well as the importance of competent personnel and the importance of continuity. Patients described different aspects deemed important when encountering nursing staff. Conclusion: Patients experienced that they received good care when they felt listened to and seen as individuals with their own thoughts and feelings.

Violence in close relationships has for a long time been recognized as a major social problem. Many women who have left a violent and destructive relationship have been broken apart by their former partner. They find different strategies to regain their self-esteem and self- confidence. Selection of strategies may be consciously or unconsciously. Some women have chosen martial arts.The purpose of this study is to explore and learn more about women's experience of performing martial arts and their previous violent relationship.

Bakgrund: Palliativ vård är en del av distriktssköterskans arbete inom hemsjukvården. Syftet med palliativ vård är att utföra åtgärder som syftar till att lindra lidande och skapa förutsättningar för livskvalitét för patient och anhöriga i livets slutskede. Den palliativa hemsjukvården ger patienten möjlighet att vårdas i sin hemmiljö och därmed kunna ta del av vardagen i större utsträckning jämfört med på en vårdinrättning. Distriktssköterskans arbete ska baseras på målinriktad humanistisk omvårdnad av patient och anhöriga där ansvaret är att råda, stödja, vårda och förebygga. Genom ärlig kommunikation och delaktighet i vården ökar tryggheten och tilliten mellan patient, anhörig och distriktssköterska.

Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva äldre patienters upplevelse av sin sexualitet samt att beskriva utmaningar i kommunikationen mellan omvårdnadspersonal och äldre patienter kring sexuella problem. Metod: Det var en systematisk litteraturstudie. Resultat: Resultatet visade att sexualiteten enligt den äldre var mer än samlag, bland annat närhet och beröring var också en del av sexualiteten. Sexualiteten gav den äldre välbefinnande och den finns alltid kvar. Samtidigt kunde den sexuella lusten minska eller försvinna och det var mer hälsoproblem än åldern som gjorde att sexualitetens betydelse minskade.

Due to increasing international competition and new technology IT-consultants has been forced to oversee their business models lately. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the process and consequences of a shift in business model for a consultant by using a methodology based on action research. The empirical foundation consists of a field study with observations, notes, interviews and business related documents. The case describes a consultant?s process of shifting business model from profits based on man-hours to selling a standardized system.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate how lyrics of indie-pop music represent gender, sexuality and love. The lyrics used is from love songs performed by Håkan Hellström and Veronica Maggio. The method for examining the lyrics of the love songs is discourse- theory and analysis.

Background: Isolation care may be necessary when a patient is carrying infection or is being inflicted with disease that causes deficit immune system. Being isolated means that the patient is in a confined space and may stay only there. Even in ancient times, people discovered the importance of isolating people carrying an infection from the rest of society. According to the Infectious Diseases Act, patients should be isolated in order to reduce the spread of infection both from the patient to the surroundings as well as the opposite. Isolation care can be psychologically stressful for some patients.

While conducting our practical training we experienced how the structure and the complexity of the municipal administration could, from a white-collar workers perspective, become a limitation and burden for efficient work. Deriving from this experience we found an interest in how politicians reasoned with regards to their relationship with supervisor in municipal old-age care. Kouzes och Micos (1979) ?Theory of organizational behavior in human service? became our point of departure. Their framework was therefore the foundation for our research and work throughout this paper. Our aim with this research was to examine how politicians viewed their relationship with supervisor in municipal old-age care.

Problemställning: eHälsa är nutiden och framförallt framtiden inom hälso- och sjukvård och anses kunna stärka delaktighet och medbestämmande för patienten. Den nya tidens patienter kräver ökad insyn, delaktighet och självbestämmande.                                   Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa eHälsa med fokus på patient empowerment.                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Metod: Litteraturstudie med 14 vetenskapliga artiklar som utifrån en induktiv ansats har granskats, analyserats och jämförts.                                                                                                                                                                    Resultat och konklusion: Resultatet visar att eHälsa ökar tillgängligheten för hälsoinformation samt hälso- och sjukvård i hemmet. eHälsa kan och bör användas som ett komplement i vården för att stärka patient empowerment, detta under förutsättning att patienten har förmåga att hantera och förstå informations- och kommunikationsverktygen, samt att ett samarbete finns med hälso- och sjukvården.                                                                                                                Implikation: Vidare forskning som berör hur sjuksköterskan kan implementera eHälsa i omvårdnadsarbetet behövs. eHälsa som begrepp bör även belysas tillsammans med övriga riktlinjer som berör informations- och kommunikationsteknologi i Kompetensbeskrivning för legitimerad sjuksköterska. Patientutbildning i eHälsa och dess tjänster bör ingå i den praktiska vårdverksamheten för att optimera egenvård och därmed bidra till att patienten erhåller empowerment.

Ett stort antal patienter söker information på Internet för att fatta olika beslut och förbereda sig för olika procedurer. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa hälsooch sjukvårdsinformation på Internet. Metoden var en litteraturstudie baserad på 11 vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet visar att validerade utbildnings- och informationsprogram på Internet kan bidra till förbättring av patienternas egenvård. Det framkommer att dialogen mellan Internet informerade patienter och professionen har ändrats.

Hälso- och sjukvården är idag under stor förändring, driven av kraven på en mer gynnsam ekonomi och en högre effektivitet, där personalen samtidigt ska kunna bemöta förväntningar från en alltmer upplyst patient. När man lyfter fram kvalitetsfrågor kan vårdens brister och fördelar upptäckas vilket kan leda till förbättringar och förändringar. Syftet med arbetet var att belysa problemområdet patienttillfredsställelse utifrån ett patientperspektiv. Genom att se vad som anses viktigt för patienten i en interpersonlig relation mellan sjuksköterska och patient kan blivande sjuksköterskor öka sin medvetenhet för problemområdet och utföra sitt arbete med en större professionalitet. En ökad patienttillfredsställelse kan leda till en ökad kvalitet på hälso- och sjukvården.

Background: A life with severe chronic heart failure is debilitating, and most patients die of the disease. The possibility of having a heart from a deceased donor is often the patient's only hope of continued life. Aim: To gain a deeper insight and understanding of the patients experiences after a heart transplant. Method: Literature study with results based on 13 scientific articles. Results: Gratitude was the great common experience for the recipients of new hearts.

India is the country with the highest prevalence of rabies in the world, with about 20?000 human deaths occurring every year. The country also has a heavy burden of free roaming dogs, mainly because of the high amount of edible waste in the streets, which are the main hosts for the disease. Therefore to truly extinguish rabies, the main focus should be on the dogs, both stray dogs and owned. One method is to vaccinate all dogs against rabies.
