Avslappning och massage i omvårdnadsarbetet. En litteraturstudie om hur avslappning och massage kan befrämja hälsa.
The purpose of this literature review is to gain knowledge of how a nurse can relieve a patient´s suffering and promote a patient´s health on his/her own without pharmacologic aid. The method is a literature review based on 10 scientific articles. The study is influenced by Antonovskys view of health. The result showed four clear themes: (1) reduced anxiety / worry and physiological effects, (2) well-being and quality of life, (3) steps towards self-care and (4) relations. Relaxation and massage proved to have calming and pain-relieving effects.

Aim: The aim of this study was to examine nurses experiences of asking patients aboutintimate partner violence and what the nurses believed could be of help or hindrance whenasking the question.Method: The study design was qualitative. Nine nurses from four different divisions wasinterviewed. The participants worked at a Swedish university hospital with an action plan fortaking care of violated women. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews usingan interview guide. The results were analyzed using qualitative content analysis.Main result: The question about intimate partner violence raises a variety of feelings amongnurses, for example anger and empathy.
Sjuksköterskors omvårdnadsstrategier i omvårdnaden av patienter med diabetes typ 2 : en litteraturöversikt
Inledning: Det här är en litteraturstudie om sjuksköterskan bemötande av patienter med diabetes typ 2 genom information och motivering till egenvård och livsstilsförändringar. Bakgrund: Diabetes typ 2 är en sjukdom som ständigt ökar världen över liksom fetma. Genom att göra förändringar i livsstilen kan biverkningar av sjukdomen minskas. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturöversikten är att sammanställa och belysa forskning som beskriver sjuksköterskans olika omvårdnadsstrategier i att bemöta och motivera patienter med diabetes typ 2 till att ändra livsstil. Metod: En litteraturöversikt baserad på tio vetenskapliga artiklar.
Sjuksköterskans dilemma inom psykiatrisk slutenvård - En balansgång mellan gott och ont : Sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att lindra patienters lidande orsakat av tvångsåtgärder
Title: The nurse's dilemma in psychiatric inpatient care - a balancing act between good and evil Objective: To describe the nurse's experience of relieving patient suffering caused by coercive measures on a closed psychiatric ward . Frame of reference : The results are discussed in light of Eriksson´s theory of suffering and caring relationships Method: A qualitative analysis based on focus group discussions Results: The analysis resulted in six categories, to protect the patient , to involve the patient , not to lose control , to remain , to justify compulsion , and to be touched . The results showed that nurses had the experience of being able to relieve the suffering of patients caused by coercive measures. It was also found that the nurses had a tendency to justify coercive measures , the more experience they had of performing these . Conclusion: The results describe that nurses have the experience and knowledge of how to relieve patients' suffering caused by coercion but also their experiences of performing these .

Background:Existential and spiritual thoughts are a big part of pallative care. The terms existential and spiritual can be understood in many different ways. It may mean thoughts about faith or thoughts concerning life and death. The nurse in palliative care need to have good communication skills, be responsible and be present and supportive in meeting with the patient.Aim:To describe the nurse's experiences of meeting patients' existential and spiritual thoughts in palliative care.Methods:A literature review based on 10 scientific studies have been done. The studies have been downloaded from the following scientific databases; Academic Search preimer, CINAHL Plus with Full Text, and PubMed.
Patientens upplevelser av att befinna sig i livets slutskede : En litteraturöversikt
Tidigare forskning visade att omhändertagande möten med sjuksköterskan stärkte patientens självbild och skapade känslor av trygghet. Möten med sjuksköterskan som inte var omhändertagande skapade känslor av att bli nedbruten hos patienten. Patienterna ville vara delaktiga i sin egen vård. Det var inte lätt att vara anhörig till någon i livets slutskede. Det fanns inte mycket forskning skrivet om patientens upplevelser i livets slut.

Introduction: Palliative care is based on an active total care where the patient's independence and participation are included. Few studies have been based on a concept of freedom in relation to this target group.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the perception the nurse has about "freedom" - its significance and meaning from an existential perspective for patients with palliative care needs.Method: A qualitative content analysis based on a narrated and written down text from focus groups with adequate examples. The starting point in the focus groups was to focus on existential issues in relation to patients near death. Based on the concept of freedom, has the printouts been analyzed, categorized and codedFindings: Nature, identity, integrity and self-esteem are important aspects for our approach to freedom but freedom is also about existential questions where hope, reconciliation, freedom and forgiveness are included.Discussion: Discussion: We all have our own definitions and meanings of freedom. The largest and perhaps most important fullest freedom is our inner freedom - our own existential freedom.

Background: The district nurse's competence description is comprehensive and sets high standards for a wide range of skills. The population's need for health care will rise according to life expectancy, lifestyle diseases and multi-morbidity increases. To graduate as a district nurse, 75 higher education credits are needed and after graduation, the district nurse must have developed both personal qualities and gained skills that makes it possible to work in primary care, child / school health care and home care. Aim: The aim of this study is to highlight the newly qualified district nurse experiences in developing professional identity and describe on how this development affects nursing.Method: In the pilot study a qualitative method with an inductive approach was used, and data collection was made by four semi-structured interviews. The interviews were analyzed using qualitative content analysis.
Operationssjuksköterskan-en sterilklädd dörrvakt? En observationsstudie
Current research shows that the number of door openings during surgery is unjustifiably high. It is the operating room nurses task to ensure a hygienic and aseptic environment throughout the surgery with the goal of minimizing the risk of healthcare associated infection. The study aims to investigate whether the operating room nurse is attentive to the number of door openings during surgery and if the operating room nurse is attentive to the reasons behind the door openings. A pilot study with nine observations was carried out on two smaller hospitals in the region of Västra Götaland. The results showed a significant underestimation of the rated door openings compared with the actual ones.
Ett gott patientbemötande - en litteraturstudie om möjligheter och svårigheter
Introduktion: Anmälningar gällande bemötande till patientnämden är inte ovanligt, år 2010rörde ca 33 % av dessa frågor bemötande. Det handlade ofta om kontinuitet, att känna sigifrågasatt, inte lyssnad på eller trodd och om att inte bli behandlad som en individ. Syfte: Syftetmed denna litteraturstudie var att ta reda på möjligheter och svårigheter på vad som är ett gottpatientbemötande, ur ett sjuksköterske-och patientperspektiv. Metod: En litteraturstudie.Resultat: Både sjuksköterska och patient måste vilja skapa en relation med varandra. Att kännaförtroende för varandra och att patienten kände att sjuksköterskan var kompetent, visade sigvara en förutsättning och ledde till att patienten kände trygghet.

Background: Nosocomial infections pose a big threat to patient safety and increased costs for society. An effective way of preventing cross-infections is to apply hygiene routines. Studies show that compliance to hygiene routines is low while there's a lack of knowledge about the best way of improving it. Aim: To investigate whether a conversation based on the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) could influence a nurse's compliance to hygiene routines and whether it could benefit the understanding of a nurse's compliance. Method: A quantitative and qualitative method was used in the study and included one nurse.

Background:When the patient is critically ill the family is in a vulnerable position. The nurse's role is to support and help the family to find meaning in the difficult situation and to provide realistic hope. Balancing between the patient's and the family's needs is difficult. Knowledge about how nurses experience difficulties in the interaction with family is required in order to grant good care too critically ill patients and their family-members.Aim:To describe nurses' perceived difficulties in the interaction with family-members of critically ill patients.Method:The study is a qualitative literature-based study based on qualitative research. Results: The analysis resulted in four main themes; difficult disunion, environmental constraints, interpersonal difficulties and communicative difficulties.

The nurse has a significant role in the care of the patient and in his/her experience of life. Aim The purpose of this study is to examine the quality of life, from a nurse perspective. Method The text analysis was carried out with qualified attempts, of a book, "Quality of life a challenge for the nurse" (in Swedish) by T. Rustoen, a nurse who also worked as a teacher in Norway.
Mötet mellan patient och sjuksköterska : en litteraturstudie om upplevelser hos patienter med diabetes typ II
Bakgrund: När en person söker vård för sin diabetes typ II sker ett möte med sjuksköterskan. Mötet mellan patient och sjuksköterska utgör grunden för att en patient ska kunna skapa tillit och känna trygghet i samvaro med sjuksköterskan. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva hur patienter med diabetes typ II upplever mötet med sjuksköterskan. Metod: En litteraturstudie som bygger på tio kvalitativa artiklar. Resultat: Genom analys hittades fem huvudkategorier: Att ta emot och förstå information, att ta emot stöd och bli motiverad, att våga känna tillit till sjuksköterskan, att vara delaktig i sin vård och att genom kommunikation skapa en relation med sjuksköterskan.
Patienters upplevelse av livskvalitet i livets slutskede inom den palliativa vården : en litteraturöversikt
Background: Palliative care is a type of care, which does not cure but eases the suffering caused by the disease. The goal of palliative care is not to extend or shorten the patient's life, but to relieve pain and distressing symptoms and to promote the patients? quality of life (QOL). QOL can be understood as a subjective sense of happiness of existence, which means that the patient is experiencing life when her total life situation is consistent with her ??wishes.
