Sjuksköterskors attityder till och upplevelser av att vårda personer med emotionellt instabil personlighetsstörning

Background: Patients with borderline personality disorder represent a large group in healthcare who are struggling with painful emotions in life. Caring should be based on strengthening health processes by focusing on the patients, but research made by the patient's perspective has shown that this population rather felt that their health processes was counteracted, than promoted. The patients felt that the nurses displayed a negative attitude towards them. Attitudes are defined as a system of values, emotions and actions towards others. Aim: the purpose of this study was to highlight the attitudes and experiences of nurses towards caring for people with borderline personality disorder  Methods: A study on the literature based on nine scientific papers was performed. The articles have been analyzed, systematically coded and compiled into a new unit. Results: This study shows that nurses have an overall negative attitude towards patients with borderline personality disorder.

Förändringen som kom av sig: En fallstudie av kommunikationens roll i en förändringsprocess

This study takes place within a publicly owned art producing organization and dwells on the problems of a change process that the organization was involved in. Both leaders and staff were disappointed by the way the change process had developed. The management team explained the outcome by referring to the uniqueness of working with artists who constantly put their own personal objectives before the benefit of the whole. The aim of this study is to find a complementary explanation to the one the management team provided us with; an explanation that can help in the understanding of the dynamics of a change process. Can perhaps theories on information, communication and change processes give an alternative explanation to why the change process faltered? To investigate this, we have used a qualitative single case study.

Hur personer som fått stroke upplever sjuksköterskans omvårdnad

Bakgrund: Stroke är ett samlingsnamn som innefattar hjärninfarkt och hjärnblödning. Sjukdomen innebär ett akut insjuknande som kräver omedelbar vård. Dessa personer får mer eller mindre kroppsliga förluster som medför ett beroende. Därför är tidig mobilisering central redan i det akuta skedet eftersom symtomen kan förbättras med tiden. Sjuksköterskan är omvårdnadsansvarig på strokeavdelningen.

Sjuksköterskors och sjuksköterskestudenters attityder gentemot patienter med övervikt/fetma : En litteraturöversikt

Övervikt och fetma är ett stort hälsoproblem i hela världen och associeras många gånger till social diskriminering. Under de senaste 35 åren har övervikt och fetma ökat i Sverige och kostar sjukvården tre miljarder varje år. Patienter med övervikt kan känna sig otrygga samt kan känna ett obehag att söka vård på grund av rädsla för stereotypa attityder från sjukvårdspersonal. Syftet var att identifiera och beskriva forskning om sjuksköterskors och sjuksköterskestudenters attityder gentemot vuxna patienter med övervikt/fetma. En litteraturstudie har gjorts för att sammanställa vad forskningen påvisar.

Sjuksköterskan som patientens förespråkare : En litteraturstudie som beskriver faktorer som påverkar sjuksköterskan i rollen som förespråkare

Bakgrund: Sjuksköterskan har enligt kompetensbeskrivningen och ICN:s etiska kod ett ansvar att förespråka patienten. Begreppet advocacy myntades i USA under 1970-talet och sedan dess har begreppet diskuterats i litteraturen. Advocacy innebär att sjuksköterskan ska kunna uttyda patientens önskemål, kommunicera med patient och närstående, försäkra sig om patientens säkerhet, respektera och beskydda patientens rättigheter och tala samt agera på uppdrag av patienten.Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva faktorer som påverkar sjuksköterskan i rollen som patientens förespråkare. Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på 13 vetenskapliga artiklar, varav tio kvalitativa och tre kvantitativa. Resultat: Författarna fann i det analyserade materialet, fyra huvudfaktorer som på olika sätt påverkade sjuksköterskan i rollen som förespråkare.

Information till patient i kris : faktorer en sjuksköterska bör vara medveten om.

En stor del av sjuksköterskans arbete innebär att ge information till patienter och anhöriga. Många patienter befinner sig i någon form av kris vilket försvårar informationssituationen. Studiens syfte var att belysa faktorer en sjuksköterska bör vara medveten om som informatör i mötet med patient i kris. Metoden har varit systematisk litteraturstudie. Litteratursökningen resulterade i tretton artiklar från databaserna Medline och CINAHL, vilka har granskats med avseende på vetenskaplighet och relevans för studiens syfte.

Patientens upplevelse av mötet med sjuksköterskan på akutmottagningen : En litteraturstudie

Bakgrund: Till akutmottagningen kommer alla typer av patienter av olika etniciteter, åldrar och kön, med olika skador och sjukdomar och med olika tidigare erfarenheter av hälso- och sjukvården. Patienten har mycket kontakt med sjuksköterskan på akutmottagningen, och därför är det viktigt att mötet mellan sjuksköterskan och patienten uppfattas som positivt. Forskning tyder dock på att detta inte alltid är fallet.Syfte: Att beskriva hur patienten upplever mötet med sjuksköterskan på en akutmottagning.Metod: En litteraturstudie av mixad metod med konvergent design baserad på fem kvalitativa och fem kvantitativa studier.Resultat: Fyra teman framkom: Brist på information och kommunikation; Patienten vill inte vara till besvär; Ointresse och dåligt bemötande samt Bra vård och ett gott bemötande.Slutsats: Mötet mellan sjuksköterskan och patienten på akutmottagningen blev ofta lidande på grund av bristande information, ointresse och dåligt bemötande från sjuksköterskan. Mötet var mer positivt på akutmottagningar på landsbyggden, med anledning av att stressen och arbetsbördan där var lägre.Klinisk betydelse: Genom att öka medvetenheten om problemen som belyses i denna studie och genom att implementera resultatet till akutmottagningar, ges möjligheten att förbättra vården och öka välbefinnandet för patienterna på akutmottagningen..

Sjuksköterskans upplevelse av att bedriva psykiatrisk omvårdnad : En litteraturstudie

Background: Studies have shown that 66 children and teenagers in Sweden suffers from brain tumor every year. Children and teenagers who can´t participate in the regular school for a longer time for whatever reason, have by the school law the right to education in hospitals or institutions. Education that take place in other places than school most try to follow the same guidelines as his/hers usual school.  This applies to students in elementary school, compulsory school, special school, Sami school, secondary school and upper secondary school.Purpose:  The purpose of this study was to find out how three teachers at a hospital school plans their work with children in grade from 1 to 3, who suffer from cancer, especially brain tumor.  How can the teachers at the hospital school plan and organize their teaching so that it´s possible for the children whit brain tumor to feel as normal as possible. How does the common work between the consultant nurse, teachers at the hospitals and their ordinary school prevent the children to feel like an outsider?Method: I have chosen to do a qualitative study followed by three interviews whit three informants who works at a hospital school.

Att vårda patienter i rättspsykiatrisk vård som uppvisar självskadebeteende : sjuksköterskors erfarenheter och upplevelser

Deliberate self harm as defined pathologically as well as socially is becoming an increasing phenomenon within forensic psychiatry. Nurses working with patients who have self harm behaviour and are confined to forensic psychiatry face different challenges which affect their feelings and attitudes in different ways, in their nursing practice.Purpose: To explore nurses? experiences of caring for patients who suffer from deliberate self harm behaviour and are confined to forensic psychiatry.Method: Qualitative semi- structured interview s from eight nurses working within the forensic psychiatric clinic. Interviews were analysed by using a qualitative content analysis.Results: They worked strategically and emphasized the importance of teamwork, good communication and urged for the need to get necessary education, staff focused tutoring and patient focused therapy.Conclusion: Need for necessary education, patient focused therapy and staff focused tutor is needed to empower staff working with patients who are confined within forensic psychiatry and suffer from deliberate self harm behaviour..

Outside the box - Inside care : En deskriptiv studie om effektivitet i vården

The study is based on a new approach on how Swedish healthcare is supposed to be controlled and organized. There is a renowned administration problem within Swedish healthcare, which seems to be an obstacle to exploit the resources to the fullest. The latest venture within the healthcare system is patient involvement, where the patients become co-producers of their own care, which aims to both improve and make healthcare more efficient. A few wards in Sweden have implemented this new approach whereupon the study intends to discuss the effectiveness and efficiency in some of these.The study is restricted to three wards, whereof two of these are inpatient wards and the other one is an outpatient ward, within the medical clinic in Jönköping County Council, which has implemented the patient involvement approach in their daily work. The methodology for this study is qualitative in its nature where a time study of personnel time allocation and supplementary interviews with managing nurses on the wards have been conducted.

The construction and maintenance of a brand plays just like the communication a very important part. These parts also have a lot to common and affect each other in a large extent. One problem that may occur in many companies is the failure to grow and gain a larger share of the market even if they in various ways are trying. Expander is one of those companies and in this research report we studied communication and brand building, focusing on brand management, relationships and integrated marketing. Here we drew the conclusion that all these areas are important for a company, especially in the Business-to-Business marketing in different ways.

PATIENTDELAKTIGHETEN I VÅRDEN. EN LITTERATURSTUDIE OM BETYDELSEN AV SAMARBETET MELLAN SJUKSKÖTERSKA OCH PATIENT

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva vilka faktorer som är av betydelse för patientdelaktigheten i samarbetet mellan sjuksköterska och patient. Patientens rätt till information, delaktighet och inflytande i vården har blivit allt viktigare. Ett fungerande samarbete mellan sjuksköterska och patient är viktigt för att en bra vård ska kunna uppnås. Metoden som använts är en systematisk litteraturstudie. Totalt inkluderades tio vetenskapliga artiklar som granskades och bedömdes med hjälp av ett granskningsprotokoll.

It is based around a questionnaire aimed towards store managers and consequently used it to run regression analysis using the software package SPSS.Main results: The main result of the essay is that the motivation among store managers is positively related to the degree to which they absorb information. Thus, a possible problem exists for the corporation in that they need to make sure that the store managers are and stays motivated. Further, it seems that the longer a store manager has been employed by the corporation the less information is absorbed. IT-företag möter kund ? en pedagogisk betraktelse.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse and if possible improve the communication, mainly seen from a pedagogical perspective, between the IT company (Nostratic) and their clients in a first meeting. The analysis covers the preparation part, communication during the meetings, the technical terminology used during the meetings as well as the follow up of the meetings. Due to the lack of research within this area and the lack of personal experience on my part, the conducted study has been explorative with the use of qualitative methods. Although my first aim was to put emphisis on the pedagogical part of the communication, I found while conducting the study that there were other areas of higher importance to analyse in order to improve the customer meetings. Unfortunately the company went bankrupt in the middle of my study which resulted in me not beeing able to try out the potential improvements.
