Vad som kännetecknar personcentrerad vård : Att utmana traditionella rutiner och se personen bakom patienten

Benämningen patient är ett kollektivt begrepp, som sätter sjukdomen och dess behandling i fokus. Hälso-och sjukvården har haft svårt att förändra sitt traditionella perspektiv där patienten betraktas längst ner i den hierarkiska sjukvårdsorganisationen. För att förändra det traditionella perspektivet så har ett nytt synsätt utformats där begreppet "patient" byts ut till "person". Personcentrerad vård började införas inom äldre- och demensvården, men tankar finns om att det även ska införas inom specialistvården. Syftet med studien var att utifrån litteraturen beskriva vad som kännetecknar personcentrerad vård ur ettomvårdnadsperspektiv.

Background:There are approximately 45 000 people in the ages over 65 years dies outside the health facilities of the hospitals in Sweden in every year. Previous research has shown lacking knowledge in taking care of the next of kin during and after a sudden death. However, conducted research has emphasized that ambulance nurses often are the next of kin?s first contact with the health care system during sudden death at home. Research has also shown that the mourning of the next of kin is affected by the ambulance nurses? way of announcing the next of kin when someone close dies.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att lyfta fram hur vardagen upplevs, och vad som påverkar den, av patienter med svårläkande venöst bensår. Elva vetenskapliga artiklar granskades och kvalitetsbedömdes enligt givna kriterier. Därefter inleddes den strukturella analysen där tre huvudteman framträdde. Carnevalis balansmodell användes som teoretisk referensram. De tre teman som återfanns var: relationen mellan patient och profession; fysiska, psykiska och sociala konsekvenser av att leva med svårläkande venöst bensår, samt föreställningar och kunskap.

Upplevelsen av den goda vårdrelationen mellan vårdare och personer med demens : En litteraturstudie

Demenssjukdomen tillhör en av våra stora folksjukdomar och är ett samlingsnamn på sjukdomar som i första hand angriper centrala nervsystemet. Symtom som minnesförlust, agnosi, apraxi och dysfasi är övergripande för demenssjukdomar. Vårdrelationen mellan vårdare och personer med demens är därför komplicerad. Denna studie syftade till att belysa vad som kännetecknar en god vårdrelation mellan vårdare och personer med demenssjukdom på vårdboende. Metoden som använts var en litteraturstudie där kvalitativa studier sammanställts.

Frihet ? dess innebörd och betydelse ? För patienter med ett palliativt omvårdnadsbehov utifrån sjuksköterskans perspektiv

Introduction: Palliative care is based on an active total care where the patient's independence and participation are included. Few studies have been based on a concept of freedom in relation to this target group.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the perception the nurse has about "freedom" - its significance and meaning from an existential perspective for patients with palliative care needs.Method: A qualitative content analysis based on a narrated and written down text from focus groups with adequate examples. The starting point in the focus groups was to focus on existential issues in relation to patients near death. Based on the concept of freedom, has the printouts been analyzed, categorized and codedFindings: Nature, identity, integrity and self-esteem are important aspects for our approach to freedom but freedom is also about existential questions where hope, reconciliation, freedom and forgiveness are included.Discussion: Discussion: We all have our own definitions and meanings of freedom. The largest and perhaps most important fullest freedom is our inner freedom - our own existential freedom.

SATS + e2 = SANT? : en studie av SATS lednings kommunikationsstrategi då träningskoncernen förvärvade den dåvarande konkurrenten e2

Aim: The aim of this essay is to study the communication strategy that the company SATS developed before taking over the company e2. The following questions are to be answered: - what was the planned communication strategy before taking over the company e2? - did SATS follow their original plan when implementing this strategy? ? Which strengths and weaknesses of the communication strategy can be identified based on opinions of the employees?Material/Method: Together with literature and document studies, a qualitative method has been used and seven personal interviews have been conducted. One informant was selected due to professional position; the other six respondents were former employees of the affected company e2.Main results: The main results from the study show that the company SATS did in fact follow their plan very accurately with only some minor changes such as an earlier started education program and exclusion of an initially planned evaluation activity. Communication about the takeover of e2 to employees was quick and clear.

Swedish healthcare are in need of radical changes to meet the requirements from both the government and the patients to create organisational working methods that better support the patients through their healthcare processes. Digitalization of patient data has been going on for decades in order to increase participation and understanding among patients in their care processes. However, availability of information does not ensure understanding. Therefore, resources should be devoted to create conditions to enable participation. The purpose of this study is to explore how visualization of patient data in the patient?s journal can affect the consultation in the encounter between the doctor and the patient.

Känslor av maktlöshet bland sjuksköterskor : en litteraturstudie

Bakgrund: Känslor av maktlöshet kan påverka sjuksköterskors engagemang och ansvar för patienter. Sjuksköterskor har i sin profession ansvar för patienters omvårdnad och vill hjälpa patienter att bli friska. När sjuksköterskor inser att målet inte kan fullföljas kan känslor av maktlöshet uppstå. Syfte: Att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser och erfarenheter av maktlöshet vid vård av patienter. Metod: Litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a safe and painless diagnostic method. The patient may become concerned, suffer from anxiety and experience the examination as unpleasant. Detailed information and a good treatment can reduce anxiety and distress for the patient. The purpose of this study was to illuminate the patient?s experiences in connection to MRI, and to describe the patients needs for information and treatment.


Hemtjänstpersonalens upplevelser av att vårda patienter i livet slutskede

The aim of this study was to describe home care personnel and their experiences in palliative care. The design was qualitative and data were collected through interviews. Five home care personnel were interviewed, all women, whom have experience of palliative home care.The material was then analysed with qualitative content analysis and eight main categories, derived from experiences of home care personnel, were identified: relationship, safety, quality of care, a better end-of-life, routine, information, knowledge and competence, and work environment. The result showed that all participants of this study identified themselves as family members of the patients whom they had cared for during a long period of time. Additionally, the participants were emotionally touched when the patient died.The majority experienced that the patients do receive good care in their homes.

Att "gilla" ett museum : En komparativ fallstudie av tre museers externa kommunikation

The aim and purpose of this essay is to study if three museums are using Facebook strategically to promote two-way communication with their target audiences in their external communication. A qual-itative and comparative research method and has been used and communication managers from each of the three museums have been interviewed. These interviews have been transcribed and coded in order to reveal opinions and views on how that particular museum feels about social media and the use of these tools in their external communication. A number of Facebook statuses have also been collect-ed in order to discover how each of the museums is using social media in order to reach and engage their target groups. Should the results of this essay be summarized it would show that the museums are using the communication channel that they feel suits the needs of reaching a specific audience.

Triage, which means "to sort", determine the priority of the patients need of care. The aim of the present study was to describe nurses? perception of triage at a pediatric emergency department. A questionnaire with open- and closed-ended questions were distributed to all 25 nurses that worked at a pediatric emergency department. The answer frequency was 48 % (n=12).

A study of communication content, frequency and problems was performed at the Swedish Air Force Air Combat Simulation Centre, FLSC. The purpose was to investigate the connection between team communication and performance variables, to study communication problems during air combat and to employ and develop the PILOT method of communication problem analysis. Ten fighter pilots and four fighter controllers engaged in simulated air combat beyond visual range in teams on two sides, Blue and Red, with four pilots and one fighter controller each. Background: The nursing profession involves meetings and situations which can be stressful. The work environment can cause additional stress in the form of time pressure, lack of support from colleagues, management or disgruntled family members and patients. This places the nurse in a position that requires a sharpened ability to handle stress. It can become overwhelming and unmanageable and cause a serious threat to the nurse's health and wellbeing. To handle stress the nurses uses different coping strategies.Aim: The aim of the review was to gain a better understanding of how nurses deal with occupational stress.Method: A systematic literature overview study based on eleven articles, including both qualitative and quantitative studies.Results: Nurses deal with stress in different ways based on their own resources.
