I Sverige drabbas ca 35000 människor av stroke varje år, av dem får 8000 afasi. Afasi ger talsvårigheter både i att förstå andra och att uttrycka sig. I vården möter sjuksköterskan ofta patienter med afasi och kommunikationen blir då inte lika självklar. Sjuksköterskans uppgift är att ha en kommunikation där de kan förstå varandra. Vårdrelationen är nödvändig för kommunikationen och för att göra patienten delaktig.

Abstrakt Bakgrund: En god kommunikation ligger till grund för en god omvårdnad. Kommunikation är kommunikation först när den är ömsesidig, det vill säga att kommunikation sker gemensamt och går i båda riktningar. Patienters upplevelser av högteknologisk vård håller generellt låg kvalitet. Problemet uppstår vid bristfällig kommunikation mellan vårdare och patient. Röntgensjuksköterskan som till större del jobbar med korta patientmöten måste vara kunnig och effektiv i sin kommunikation med patienten.

Machine-to-machine (M2M) communication is a phase in the digital revolution connecting computing devices with each other bringing along new business opportunities for companies. Although being a fast growing field it has not been researched to any greater extent, particularly not within the academical literature. Consequently, information on how M2M can affect organisations seems strongly needed. This thesis uses three perspectives, derived from already recognised business benefits of M2M, as an aid to select proper theoretical tools to investigate the phenomenon. The purpose of this thesis is to gain knowledge of how an M2M adoption affects a firm?s organisation, customer offerings and customer relations.

Background: Triage is the sorting of patients according to the severity of medical assessment. Triage has a long history of use in Anglo-Saxon countries but is a fairly new method in Sweden. Researchers have described the Manchester triage group method (MTS) and a literature review of the concept; working contentment and competence focusing on triage. Aim: The ambition with this study was to describe a number of triage nurses working conditions. The research questions were; working with MTS- does it bring work contentment? What kind of competence is needed? Method: Data was collected from 74 triage nurses by a questionnaire containing 37 questions and two questions provided the nurses the opportunities to describe their triage experiences.

Bakgrund: I Sverige är det mer än 160 000 personer som insjuknat i demens och hälften av dem har Alzheimers sjukdom, som är den vanligaste demenssjukdomen. När diagnosen Alzheimers sjukdom ställts förändras patientens och anhörigas livssituation. Anhöriga tar på sig ett ökat omvårdnadsansvar och känner en större ängslan och oro för framtiden. Syfte: Att belysa anhörigas upplevelser av att vårda en person med Alzheimers sjukdom. Metod: Studien utfördes som en allmän litteraturstudie och sju vetenskapliga artiklar som motsvarade syftet granskades kritiskt och analyserades.

The concept of vulnerability is the capacity or the sensitivity to become damaged. Vulnerability are characterized by one or more of the following terms; a system´s sensitivity to exposure to shock, stress or interference, the state of the system in relations to a threshold of damages, and the system´s ability to adapt to the changing circumstances. Vulnerability in this study is referring to the sensitivity of the circumstances that lead to sustainable livelihood that can´t be maintain and that there is an inability to cope with and manage stress. The choice of making a study in this area is based on that action needs to be taken to moderate the vulnerable aspects of society, in this respect in relations to storms. Analyzes of the social vulnerability to climate change or natural events is needed for effective actions.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relations of power within the discourse of integration and my focus will be on power relations and structural discrimination. The study origins from four qualitative interviews with employees from the County administrative board as well as from the Employment office.The theoretical framework is based upon Social Constructionism, Postcolonial Theories and with an intersectional perspective. The recent critical research from The Official Report on power, integration and structural discrimination (Utredningen om makt, integration och strukturell diskriminering) is used as well as Foucault's theory of biopower which is discussed within the analysis.The study indicates that although integration often is addressed as a reciprocal process, it is still assumed that They should be integrated by Us. The present government's one-sided focus on employment has proved difficult for the employees to put into practise and when the responsibility of obtaining employment is based upon the individual alone, she/he becomes responsible for her/his own integration..

Swedish healthcare systems have endured harsh criticism from healthcare professionals because of their inability to understand healthcare processes. These systems have been identified as significant time consumers, and Swedish healthcare is therefore facing a major challenge to assure patient safety. The following paper is based on a workplace study, which aims to examine healthcare systems? impact on physicians? practices. Our findings show that physicians spend substantial amounts of time chasing information, rather than managing information and pursuing healthcare.

När man studerar till sjuksköterska och fördjupar sig inom vårdvetenskapen benämns patienter kategoriskt med just begreppet patient, oavsett var i vårdsystemet denne befinner sig. Begreppet patient har innebörder och värderingar som inte alltid syns och som påverkar relationen mellan vårdgivare och vårdsökande. Begreppsanalys är ett sätt att konkretisera och synliggöra ett begrepps innebörd. Vi valde att använda oss av Walker & Avants modell för begreppsanalys. Denna innebär att man definierar de avgränsande attributen och skiljer dem ifrån de ovidkommande attributen.

The focus of this study has been to plumb social workers experiences regarding their work methods in two institutions regarding unaccompanied children through a perspective of gender. In this study, four semi-structured qualitative interviews has been contrived in purpose to gather in material which has been presented in five themes to ease an analyse focusing of gender. In all the interviews both authors participated with one in charge and one taking notes. One of the main focuses has been the relations between both social workers and their clients and between colleges in the institutions. The other main focus has been the activities, both planed and spontaneous, which the clients been offered, for example football, bowling and boxing.

We are living in network society, where information and communication together with the technical development stands in the centre. Characteristic for network society is quick changes, new meaning of time and space, convergence and new possibilities of communication. Network society contains new technical developments, several with thepurpose to improve the possibilities of communication between human beings, which in some ways creates new social demands and expectations. As whole network society, the Internet is constantly developing.This study, implemented with qualitative interviews, has the purpose to give new, deep and interesting knowledge about business to business companies? communication and marketing on the Internet.

Diabetes type 2 is a fast growing illness and a global health problem, often a result from less appropriate standard of living. Lifestyle changes related to diet and physical activity are important lifestyle changes regarding to get control of the self-management and to avoid vascular complications.AimThe aim of this study was to describe patient's experiences of lifestyle changes in diabetes type 2.MethodA literature study was carried through based on 12 qualitative scientific articles.ResultsThe analysis result into two main themes and eight subthemes. Main themes where barriers and motivators for lifestyle changes and the subthemes where struggle, denial, lack of knowledge, alienation, support, motivation, acceptance and knowledge.ConclusionThis study shows that lifestyle changes are experienced different by patient with diabetes and nurses should therefore be aware of the unique and specific demands these patients require. This is important for providing a good diabetic healthcare and to help patients with their self-management.

AbstractIn urban societies people spend more and more time indoors, which put great demands on the indoor environment. If the ventilation is to manage the removal of unwanted substances in the indoor air, a good mixing of the air is required. The question arises that, whether the buoyancy forces will counteract a good mixing of the indoor air or not?This report aims to clear up the difficulties whether you need to consider the buoyancy forces or not, when adjusting a ventilation unit. For studying the indoor mixing of the air a two dimensional model is constructed in COMSOL Multiphysics.

Bakgrund: Diabetes typ 2 är en kronisk sjukdom som behöver bemötas dagligen. En av hörnstenarna i behandlingen är egenvård som personen själv utför vilket är nödvändigt för att bromsa eller förhindra komplikationer. För att personer med diabetes skall kunna utföra egenvården behövs kunskap om sjukdomen. Hur det är att leva med diabetes är en subjektiv upplevelse och behöver bemötas utifrån det. Människor kan uppleva det mödosamt att bryta vanor och beteenden, det är lätt att falla tillbaka till gamla vanor.

Bakgrund: I dagens sjukvård förekommer möten som inte uppfyller de kriterier vilka ligger till grund för ett förtroendefullt möte mellan sjuksköterska och patient. Dessa grundpelare är trovärdighet, kunskap/utbildning, attityder, tid och närvaro. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att belysa förutsättningar och hinder för att förtroende skapas mellan vårdare och patient med långvarig smärta. Metod: Författarna har använt sig av en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ inriktning. Studien är baserad på fyra vetenskapliga artiklar och två avhandlingar. Materialet har analyserats med hjälp av Burnards analysmetod. Resultat: Resultatet visar att patienter med långvarig smärta kan ha svårt att känna förtroende för sjuksköterskan. Slutsats: Ett förtroendefullt möte speglas av många olika samverkande delar..
