The aim of the study was to describe how anaesthetic nurses, within both advanced beginner and expert levels, experience their professional role as they perform a general anaesthetic.The study had a descriptive design with a qualitative approach in which ten advanced beginners- and ten expert anaesthetic nurses from an operating theatre and an ambulatory surgical ward at a hospital located in the middle of Sweden, participated. All data was collected in an interview with semi-structured questions which focused on how the anaesthetic nurses experience their work. The data were analysed with qualitative content analysis. The results are presented in categories and themes. The themes were formed from the categories.

This essay focuses on the implementation of the strategy gender mainstreaming in the European Union and the member states. It starts to identify problems connected to the implementation process and recognizes significant prerequisites for an efficient implementation of the strategy. The main problems and prerequisites are: political will, governance and structure and knowledge about gender equality. The empirical material consists of reports from the EU that touches upon gender mainstreaming and gender equality. The problems and prerequisites will be analysed in relation to the governance perspectives top-down and bottom-up and expert bureaucratic and participative democratic and gender and feminism.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att öka förståelsen för varför det är problematiskt att nyttja det balanserade styrkortet som ett strategiskt ledningsverktyg. Förhoppningen är att utveckla en modell som delar in i BSC-arbetet i fyra olika faser. Hypoteser som belyser de största problemområdena i respektive fas kommer även att formuleras. Vi har utgått från en induktiv ansats. Uppsatsen har en explorativ karaktär då vi vill försöka bringa klarhet och förklara problematiken med styrkortsarbete.

In 1929, the Scientific Crime Detection Laboratory was established in Chicago?the first of its kind in the United States. The purpose was to engage in practical use of scientific methods in the detection of crime. In 1930, the institute published its own periodical called The American Journal of Police Science. Applying the theory of boundary-work, this essay analyses how the novelty institute argued its legitimacy as a scientific establishment through the expansion of Police Science as a collective field of knowledge.

Reading old handwritten documents can be a real challenge for genealogists, especially as some documents in Sweden are written in the old German alphabet that is not used today. Much research has been done on how to enable computers to read old handwritten documents, but computers have so far not reached the level of reading that expert humans have. The focus seems to be on the computers reading the document with or without the help of human experts, with the aim of making the documents available in easily read form. I have, however, not found any research on how computers can help non-expert humans trying to read handwritten documents. In this project I have focused especially on beginning genealogists as reading gets easier with practice, and you need the help more in the beginning. By conducting interviews and observations with genealogists I established that reading is an issue and that there are many factors involved that make it difficult to read.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att med kvalitativ metodik erhålla en fördjupad förståelse för relationen mellan expertis och ledarskap i chefsrollen. Jag har velat identifiera de för- och nackdelar som finns i denna kombination samt identifiera de strategier som finns för att hantera relationen. Detta har studerats genom nio intervjuer i tre naturvetenskapliga kontexter- statligt, akademi och privat. Analys av intervjumaterialet identifierade följande kategorier: Ledarskap- en outforskad terräng för experten, Expertkunskap krävs för ledarskapet, Ledarskapet är expertens karriärväg, Balansen mellan expert och ledare i chefsrollen samt För- och nackdelar med att vara expert och ledare. Resultaten visade att expertchefer förväntas prestera både som experter och ledare.

The objective of this study was to examine three common mobile phoneplatforms in relation to their network traffic features. The platforms to beexamined are Android, iOS 5 and Windows Phone. After the investigation wascompleted a prototype application was implemented in order to demonstratethese features in the most suitable platform. The application will function as atelephone call exchanger. In addition, the application must also send the userstatistic to a Web server, accept contacts from a Web server, as well as having aspecial administration part in which the userstatistc can be presented.

The most common types of smartphones in Sweden are iPhone and Android. Development in the IT feld is constantly changing and Windows Phone is a new operating system that has been introduced on the Swedish market in 2010. However, Windows Phone user interface is quite different from iPhone and Android.The numbers of applications for smartphones are increasing, and users are making greater demands on better  usability. Users want the application to be easy to understand and fast to bring into play.  If the application contains a bug or has other user problems, it can ruin the entire experience. If the user does not have a good experience of the application, the user will quickly stop using the application.Companies that do not have any mobile applications would probably begin with an iPhone application.

Development through professional supervision and in the encounter with clients is an essential part of the work. I also discuss what it means to be new in the field (a novice) in relation to being experienced (a master).

Uppdraget från Realisator innefattade att designa ett chassi till en brandrobot.Realisator startade ett stort projekt för att utveckla en brandrobot som ska underlätta för räddningstjänsterna vid besvärliga bränder så att chansen att rädda liv ökar, säkerheten för personalen ökar och kostnaderna minskar. Brandroboten ses som en internationellt gångbar produkt. Projektet är en fortsättning på ett tidigare stadium, demo1, där identifierades de viktigaste grunderna som måste finnas i brandroboten.

TitleSystems, Stability and Power. The Discourse of Information in Organizing Knowledge.AbstractThe aim of this Master's thesis is to inquire into the consequences of an unequal distribution of power between information discourses in the field of knowledge organisation. A deconstruction of Jennifer Rowley's and John Farrows introductory textbook Organizing Knowledge from 2000 is related to the major discourses of information in LIS. Questions posed in this study are: What meaning is ascribed to information in the material studied? Which information discourses are given a dominant position? Which are excluded? and: How does this affect the construction of the library and information science student's identity, in relation to practices of knowledge organisation? The theoretical framework is provided by Ernesto Laclau's and Chantal Mouffe's theory of discourse and combined with techniques for text analysis originating from the work of Norman Fairclough.The analysis reveals a strong domination of a cognitive discourse of information that underlines the importance of information systems for the organisation of knowledge.

This essey investigates closer those problems that can accour with many actors involved and why. This is done by talking to the biggest actors involved and listening to their side of the story and trying to criticize this view with the help of some expert writers on the subject..

Berättelser och historier har sedan urminnes tider förtrollat och fängslat människor. Förr itiden samlades människor runt lägerelden för att ta del av berättelser, idag samlasmänniskor runt varumärken. Det förflutna, nuet och framtiden binds samman till ettsammanhängande process genom historier, istället för att vara lösryckta delar av ettsammanhang.Uppsatsens syfte var att undersöka varför storytelling inom marknadsföring är såframgångsrikt hos konsumenten. Vi ville få en förståelse över vad som fårkonsumenten att uppskatta denna sortens reklamform. Vår problemfråga ochutgångspunkt genom uppsatsen har varit:· Varför är storytelling i marknadsföring så framgångsrikt hos konsumenter?För att klarlägga begreppet ur flera synvinklar har vi varit i kontakt med konsumenter ifrom av fokusgrupper samt med experter inom storytelling och självaste reklambranschen.Vi har valt dessa tre intressegrupper för att få olika perspektiv urkonsumentens synvinkel.

Aim and starting point: The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to examine and define the paramount knowledge Chinese businessmen need in order to succeed with their establishment in Sweden. The authors also seek to answer what incentives attract Chinese businessmen to come to Sweden, as well as how Chinese establishments in Sweden can be predicted to appear in the future.Results/conclusions: The study outlines key areas in which Chinese businessmen should have knowledge in order to succeed with their establishment in Sweden. The results also gives an indication on how Chinese business establishments in Sweden will appear in the future, into which areas the Chinese mainly invest/establish in, as well as why and how these are done. On the basis of this material the authors generate proposals for educational packages which among others can be sold to Chinese businessmen.Knowledge overview: Here relevant theory connected to the area of study is presented. The knowledge overview presents the Swedish in relation to the Chinese perspective in areas such as: culture, hierarchy, relations, Face, communication, HRM, education, CSR and labour law.
