Purpose: The purpose of this study is to illustrate and problemize the consequences of the traditional male domination in film creation for a female director by critically examining the construction of the film director. Methodology: The study is based on a qualitative case study which was conducted as a participant observation.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka Skolverkets diskurs kring lärare som mobbar elever. Detta görs genom en textanalys av myndighetens publikationer där utsagor om mobbande lärare jämförs med utsagor om mobbande elever. Det studerade materialet utgörs av Skolverkets mest omfattande publikationer om skolmobbning mellan år 2002 och 2011. Texterna analyseras med hjälp av Michel Foucaults diskursanalys och de teorier som används är Steven Lukes definition av maktens tredje dimension samt Foucaults maktteori. Studien visar att mobbande lärare sällan omnämns i materialet och att utsagorna koncentreras kring historia, juridik och statistik.

Ethos har inom retoriken alltid haft en stark aristotelisk prägel, ett arv sprunget ur hur talares karaktär framhölls i rättegångar i antikens Grekland. Eftersom retorikens uttryck och användningsområden har utvecklats enormt sedan dess, inte minst inom den politiska retoriken, finns en risk att vi idag begränsas av den uppfattning av ethos beståndsdelar som lever kvar efter Aristoteles. Genom att enbart se till vad som kan ses som god moral, sunt förnuft och välvilja hos talaren kan vi missa viktiga kontextuella faktorer som talaren kan använda sig av i sitt ethosbyggande, speciellt inom politisk retorik: exempelvis det ämbete som personen besitter, de regler och normer som omger situationen eller partiets värderingar och traditioner. Alla dessa är faktorer som en politiker ofta använder sig av för att inge förtroende för sig själv som politiker idag, vilka en aristotelisk ethosanalys inte ger utrymme för. I denna uppsats prövas, med den teoretiska inspirationen från Kenneth Burkes ?terministic screens?, sociologen Max Webers tre legitimitetstyper på begreppet ethos, vilka sedan appliceras på den socialdemokratiska retoriken, i hopp om att kunna bidra till utvecklingen av ethosbegreppet.

Denna uppsats behandlar ämnet konflikter i samarbetssamtal och i vårdnadsutredningar på familjerätten mellan separerade föräldrar. År 2010 hade närmare 20 000 barn i Sverige föräldrar som inte kom överens och gick på samarbetssamtal. Över 7000 barn var aktuella i vårdnadsutredningar. Då forskning visar hur illa barn far av att befinna sig i mitten utav sina föräldrars konflikt vill jag veta vad konflikterna beror på - och vad man kan göra för att minska antalet konflikter. Mitt syfte är därför att belysa orsakerna, och därefter undersöka om det finns orsaker på samhällsnivå som förhindrar eller försvårar ett samarbete kring sina gemensamma barn.

This study was made in an attempt to give the forest research centre Mógilsá a producedtetratherm map and a better understanding of how topography and temperature influencethe growth of two tree species. The digital tetratherm map model, covering the northernpart of Iceland, was developed to investigate the correlation between tetratherm and thegrowth of Picea sitchensis and Larix (sukaczewii + sibirica). The study confirms theusefulness of digital terrain models in providing data for a lot of different factors and forthe tetratherm model. Hopefully will this tetratherm map be used in future studies.Secondly, investigations were made correlating the growth of the two species againsttopographic factors representing height above sea level, distance to the sea, slope andtopex. Thirdly, investigations were made comparing the aspect and the ground shape tothe growth.The growth rate of Larix had strong significant correlations to the tetratherm and thedistance to the sea- factors.

Studien är baserad på intervjuer med sju förskollärare på tre Reggio Emilia-inspirerade förskolor i olika delar av landet. Inom Reggio Emilias pedagogiska filosofi ses barn som kompetenta att redan från födseln utforska sin omvärld, och att de utvecklas i en utmanande miljö, ?den tredje pedagogen?. Litteratur om Reggio Emilias filosofi tar främst upp inomhusmiljön. Vi har istället fokuserat på hur barnen utmanas i förskolornas ?uterum? ? på förskolegården.

This report considers how the design and planning of the city can influence and promote a sustainable development focused on the social dimension. My prior intention was to look in to how a landscape architect can work with social matters of sustainability such as integration, equality, safety and so on. Which are our most successful tools and capabilities? I started to work with the historical background in September 2008 and soon discovered the multitude of theories and definitions of sustainable development, international, national and local. In Sweden the local political level has been given a lot of responsibilities to achieve a more sustainable society.

Det övergripande syftet med arbetet är att undersöka den relation som kan tänkas konstrueras i mötet mellan text och mottagare genom skolans skriftliga omdömen. Det mer precisa syftet är att ta reda på om skriftliga omdömen, trots sin instrumentella natur och standardiserade utformning, även rymmer en social och mellanmänsklig dimension. I arbetets metodavsnitt görs en textanalys av 72 autentiska skriftliga omdömen. Genom en textanalys kartläggs texternas interpersonella struktur, och med ett deduktivt förhållningssätt tolkas sedan resultatet utifrån ett relationellt perspektiv på utbildning. I textanalysen framkommer att värdeord är vanliga i de skriftliga omdömena och att de främst används för bedömning av elevers sociala förmågor och färdigheter.

Emerging infectious diseases are a recurring threat to both human and animal health. Understanding the multiple causes behind the emergence of new diseases is key to the prevention of new and potentially devastating outbreaks. The list of underlying causes is long, including a variety of anthropogenic, environmental, molecular and climatic changes that promote the emergence and spread of disease. Two of these factors are central to the emergence of new diseases and receive special attention in this study. The spread of disease from wildlife to livestock and diseases that spread from animals to humans (zoonoses) are of importance as they implicated in the majority of EID events.

There is an irregularity in the interregional migration in Sweden. An increasing proportion ofthe population is drawn to the metropolitan areas, which creates problems for the smallermunicipalities and towns when their population declines. At the same time, our whole societyis faced with a great challenge: we need to redirect towards a sustainable development, wherethe environmental issues are discussed and dealt with to secure that all present and futuregenerations are given equal opportunities to live a good life.The aim of this study is to, focusing mainly on the environmental dimension of thesustainability concept, examine the attractivity of housing with sustainability claims. Toanswer this, three research questions were used:? Was the migration motive to reduce their environmental impact a part of the decision tomove, among migrants who had moved to housing with sustainability claims?? If the motive was a part of the decision, how much impact did it have compared to othermigration motives?? Which factors in housing aiming at sustainability are considered important by peopleliving in housing with sustainability claims?The research questions have been answered using quantitative data, gained in the form of selfadministeredquestionnaires which were distributed in four different residential areas withsustainability claims in the county of Västra Götaland, Sweden.

Many wood living insects are considered threatened by modern forestry due to the reduction in amount of dead wood. During the last decade various methods have been used to enhance the quantity of dead wood in managed forests. However little is known how and if these methods are aiding saproxylic insects. The threatened tenebrionid beetle, Upis ceramboides, is already extinct in southern Sweden. It develops in white rotted dead birch (Betula spp) and requires sun-exposed sites.

At the Skoghall pappermill, sulphatepaper pulp is produced in a continuous digester originally from 1969. To be able to maintain a high level of production there is a need for a process with few disturbances. Variations in how well the wooden chips are packed in the digester is one form of disturbance. Today there are no available measurements on how well the chips are packed. Instead this is regarded as being constant.

Due to improvement in areas such as logistics and communication international trade have developed fast. As changes occur rapidly on the global market and companies must adjust and revise their processes in order to stay competitive.Because of the global price reduction consumers around the world expect low-price products, which mean that the companies have to find new ways to produce in a cost-efficient way. To maximize profit most of the textile production is situated in low-cost countries due to its labour-intensive character. It is crucial for fashion companies to allocate their activities in their value-chain effectively in order to reduce lead-times.

Uppsatsen beskriver hur personer med erfarenhet av problematiskt spelande och efterföljande behandling berättar om sina erfarenheter. Studiens fokus har legat på problematiskt spelande av MMORPG-spel, deras sociala dimension och upplevelser av genus i dataspelen. Även respondenternas tankar kring dataspelandet som sådant och kring genus tas upp. Datainsamlingen genomfördes via kvalitativa intervjuer på ungefär en timme vardera med tre respondenter. Det empiriska materialet har tolkats genom meningskoncentrering och sedan analyserats genom en hermeneutiskt-narrativ analysmetod.
